The Best Family Photo Experience on Maui -- with the Amazing Lisa Bernasek!…read more Family photo sessions usually fall somewhere between "mildly painful" and "please, make it stop." But our time with Lisa Bernasek completely flipped that script. From the moment we met her on the beach, she put us at ease -- no stiff poses, no forced smiles, just genuine laughter, ocean breezes, and that Maui magic. Lisa somehow managed to capture our family exactly as we are -- joyful, goofy, and (thanks to her direction) surprisingly photogenic! Even my husband, who typically treats photo sessions like a root canal, admitted he actually had fun. That's saying something. The photos turned out beyond stunning -- vibrant, natural, and full of the aloha spirit. Every shot feels like a little time capsule from our trip, filled with the warmth and beauty of Maui. If you want photos that truly capture the feeling of your time on the island -- not just what you looked like -- do yourself a favor and book with Lisa. She's a true artist, an absolute professional, and just a lovely human. Mahalo, Lisa, for giving us memories we'll treasure forever!

Little did I know what a true gift it was for our family. Lisa met our group of 8 at the designated park right on time. She really has a great way of working with both adults and kids and has an eye for focusing on the person but encompassing the beautiful background. We never felt rushed and were able to request specific groups for pictures. We all left feeling really positive and excited. The hardest part was waiting for the results and hoping they would turn out as great as we had hope. The results are in! They are ALL amazing! We may not be the most photogenetic family out there, but all our pictures made us look fantastic. Lisa took the most beautiful pictures we have ever had. I am so thankful and appreciative that we did this photo shoot. I can't recommend Capture Aloha Photography enough. I ended up buying all the pictures because I don't know when we will all be together again and they were truly outstanding. And the price is very reasonable. I have no complaints. I just wish I had known about them sooner.

I was looking for a very specific aesthetic for a photoshoot during our family vacation to Maui,…read moreand am so happy to have found Gabi. Her photos speak for themselves--very natural and soft lighting with no harsh shadows/contrasts, beautiful composition, and so much detail captured in movements and expressions! During the photoshoot, Gabi was very friendly and patient, especially with our children who were running wild around the beach. And I knew that the photos would come out exactly as I hoped, when I noticed how intentional and detail-oriented she was, such as moving us to fresh, smooth sand so that we weren't standing in a messy pile, making sure that there weren't big gaps among the four of us, asking me to fix my hair when it wasn't sitting right. Thank you Gabi for capturing such precious moments with our little ones! We'll definitely be in touch when we are back on the island!
