I cannot recommend this place enough. My cousin recommended my son play futsal before trying out for a competitive team and he doesn't live in the Bay Area but had heard of Futsal Kingz. My son immediately loved taking the classes that we signed up for two or three per week. Every coach my son has had has been great. Rodrigo goes out of his way to say hi to the parents, hypes up the kids, and has everything organized and under control. He's got the kids feeling so good that the parents are literally clapping in the middle of classes when there are good plays. It's a very inclusive environment and great for all kinds of kids at all different levels. Kids get a lot of touches and the coaches make sure of it. All three of our children have done Futsalkingz at some point and we keep coming back. The classes are fun and engaging and full of age-appropriate drills that are useful in club soccer too. I am impressed by how the coaches adapt the sessions to the level of the children, or rearrange the groups to make classes meaningful for everyone. Tim especially, is a gem. He is great at keeping the tempo high and everyone's attention on the activities. My children have learned a lot of cool moves and technical skills from these classes. It's good to see them try their new futsal moves at regular soccer too. The level of play may vary from location to location depending on who signs up. You can always ask them about the level, or shop around. It is anyway only a 6-8 week commitment at a time, so it is easy to just try a session out. I like the flexibility that this gives us, since family schedules change. To summarize: Pros: - Fun-based and encouraging environment - Great coaches - Good tempo, lots of drills and scrimmage - No weather-related cancellations, it's indoors - 6-8 week sessions, easy commitment - Many locations Cons: - Kids change each session, so no solid team experience - Level can vary, but the coaches adjust to challenge everyone - You pay through the cities' Rec centers, which can mean slightly higher non-resident fees in some areas Most of all, my children have enjoyed Futsalkingz because they make practicing skills fun. We signed up for a class to get my son touches on the ball over the winter and touches he got. I saw firsthand how the speed of the game made my son a better player from week to week. The coaches are great from the top down. They were patient with him and helped him bring his game up to speed. I think my son's only regret is that it only happens in our town once a week. If I could give 10 stars to Futsal Kingz, I would. First, customer service is at a level not seen since the 1950's. E-mail didn't exist then, but the owner, Tim, is one of the most if not responsive, helpful, and personable business owners I've spoken to in the last few decades. He seems to really care about his business, and more importantly, your kid. My son plays competitive soccer. Futsal (the "Elite" class specifically) provides incredible training - ball skills, etc. The coaches are real PRO coaches (you may even get the head of Futsal)! They can inspire and challenge the kids while making the entire practice fun. My son leaves with a HUGE smile on his face and a sense of accomplishment. We also did the weekly summer camp. Being indoors, it's a great way to get some exercise while not melting in the heat and sun. During winter months, it's probably a nice break from the cold. The icing on the cake is the parent communication and attention if you have a question. Whether it's big or small, Tim will help. He even answers questions related to outdoor soccer and does what he can to support your child in their soccer journey. Futsal Kingz is a really well-run organization! The coaches are all really good with kids, and the quality of their instruction is impressive. The kids play a variety of little games which they enjoy but they're practicing really good soccer skills the whole time. My son has learned a lot about ball handling, and had a lot of fun in the process. I hired Futsal Kingz for my son's 4th b-day party. I found them online, sent an email, and easily coordinated with Tim to set up a 1hr session with 2 coaches for approx. 23 kids. Tim is so friendly and his company brings everything that is needed for the FUN (another company I found said ALL guests must bring their own shin guards, what??)! My son LOVED it. My son wanted a soccer themed birthday party. I wanted to find someone who would lead organized activities at his party. I found Futsal Kingz by a random search online. They exceeded my expectations. Tim and Tom were very responsive and willing to accommodate our requests. Coach John showed up early, was very courteous and friendly, and best of all related well to our group of nine 7-8 year old boys. There was one boy who was really shy at first, but John was very encouraging with everyone and the little guy eventually joined in the fun. My birthday boy was smiling the whole time! They did many different games and short scrimmages in the course of an hour. Actually, I think he stayed longer than an hour because the kids kept asking for just one more game, they were having so much fun! I suspect all the kids slept great that night! We have not attended their classes but we have been to a few Futsal Birthday parties and we just had Coach Marcus lead my son's birthday party last week. Despite pouring rain, our coach was there and setting up right on time. He led all the kids through lots of fun drills, games, and scrimmages for 90 minutes. All the kids had an amazing time!
