If you're looking for a martial arts school, you have to check this place out…read more I don't care what you're into: family classes, personal self defense, MMA, competition fighting, security training. They have it all. The reason: Mr. Sipin is a world reknowned martial artist, teacher and security professional. Let me say that again: people around the world know who this man is and he's in West Allis, WI of all places?!? Why? Because he's a family man. Yes, his family is heavily involved in the running of the school. This makes it a kid friendly, family friendly place with high standards and morals. A great environment to learn and meet people of similar quality. Now, don't get me wrong. As Roy Harris says, "Don't mistake kindness for weakness." Just because these are good people, doesn't mean they can't teach you how to effectively put down someone. They can, and will, in a number of ways. They'll also insist you consider the legal implications. How do they do it? Go to their website to see all about it. But as a former student I wanted to mention some things I didn't realize until leaving the school (and state) and seeing many others. Mr. Sipin loves what he does. He also likes to buy a lot of equipment because he likes "the best" stuff. You get to play with that stuff too. Anybody who's been into the martial arts knows how expensive it is to maintain a gym. Four Winds has it all.

Otto emailed me back and told me to come in and the first workout was on him. I showed up with my gloves and wraps all the way from San Diego. Let me tell you, this place is badass! It's located inside an old brick building. It has the feel of an old school boxing gym with a modern touch. I was greeted by Cauleen (I hope that's how you spell her name) at the front desk and she put the group through a tough boxing workout. She even held the pads for each person, that was cool as f&@k! I was able to hit the fight club 3 out of the 5 days I was in town. Each workout was different and you throw lots of different combinations! If you live in Milwaukee or the surrounding area I suggest you give this fight club a try. P.S. I noticed next door they also have a CrossFit gym. I didn't use it but I looked inside and it also looked really nice. If that's your thing you should try that. I appreciate the warm welcome and when I visit, I'll be back. Thanks

What an incredible thing Otto and his team have built. With several class offerings, an inclusive…read moreand energetic atmosphere, and facilities that make you feel like you're training to fight Ali himself, Dropout Fight Club is something you need to experience. All it took was one class and I'm a believer. Typically I'm not one to attend fitness classes because most of them are things you can do in just about any gym. That's not the case at Dropout. They not only run you through a high intensity workout, but teach you boxing fundamentals along the way. Walker was the instructor for my small class on a Friday evening and he did a killer job. He encouraged us to work hard all class, but was also supportive if someone felt they needed a break. And most likely you will need a break at some point! It was four rounds of high intensity bag work and functional fitness movements. Without a doubt, Dropout Fight Club gave me one of the best workouts of my life. Classes are a little on the pricey side, but they offer a truly phenomenal experience that you just can't get anywhere else. It is absolutely worth every penny. The only negative about Dropout Fight Club is that you can't see it from the road. The address listed takes you to what looks like an abandoned warehouse (actually it was a battery factory), but the gym is way in the back of the building. I've included a couple of pictures to help first timers find there way in. If you park on Keefe, you can walk around the fence to a gate that lets you into the parking lot. From there you walk all the way to the back and you'll see the sign. Once inside the building there are several businesses already running or being built. The grunge of the building makes it feel like you're walking into an underground fight club. All in all, I give Dropout my highest recommendation. I hope to see this business thrive over the next few years.

If you're looking for Tai Chi instruction then you most likely already know it is an 'internal', meditative martial art, as is Qi Gung, and others. Often, I've found, the internal is over-looked in typical Tai Chi classes. Not the case at East/West, where both outer and inner forms are taught. Michael, the instructor, has decades of experience and it shows. The price is right, the instruction is top shelf, so if you're ready for the experience, this is the place. P.S. If you wanna get some great 'external' martial art training, i.e. Okinawan style karate, I've heard this is also the place to go!
