I have been to a lot of sushi places and I cannot recommend this at all. The sushi in this place is not restaurant quality, like in other places in Gdansk, it was more like home-made. And the price was too high for that. 2/5 read more

Had some tempura and a selection of nigiri. Nice enough selection of fish and I'd say at a good quality and fresh . The roll selection was a bit weird as cream cheese was far too often part of the ingredients. Maybe that is a local thing . Maybe light on the saki selection, but understandable. After a week of Eastern Europe dining this is a nice find.

Few friends and I shared delicious sets of sushi, one of the best hands down. We got to taste many different maki rolls wonderfully served and prepared. Everything fresh and yummy. Once you try polish delicacies- take a break and have some sushi!

The rice was too hard and of sub-par quality for sushi rice. The wasabi came smeared across the plate in a flourish but it was also so hard that it wouldn't incorporate into the soy sauce. There was a comically large pile of pickled ginger, which came in handy to mask the flavor as I forced the sushi down. The fish was of such dubious quality that I kept thinking about those reports of fish being mislabeled to pass off for something better. I am not exaggerating to say that I have had better supermarket sushi than this. I'd give it one star if it weren't for the non-food elements of the experience.

You have the option to pick your pieces from boats that are floating around or to order a set menu. I went for the menu option. The sushi was good but not excellent, I have tried better ones before. The sushi pieces were somewhat too big for my taste. Anyway it's a nice place and I could easily come back once again.

He created some very unique, elaborate rolls. Worth checking out.

Kimchi soup, not good or bad. It's pretty decent considering it's Poland. And let me tell you, a lot of Asian restaurants in Poland for some reason has kimchi. The tuna temaki was a fat slice of tuna with some spicy mayo, dakwan, and cucumbers. It's decent. The hamachi. Three pieces. It came looking dry and slightly warmer than room temperature. I made sure I cleansed my palate with ginger before I dug in. Welp. The first piece, I thought it was strange I was tasting what seemed like expired fish. The second piece, after emulsifying a few times... I spit it out. Ambience is great. The servers are really nice and check up often. The kitchen is full of exciting and fun people. Hopefully, others don't have this same bad experience with their sashimi order.
I am always very reluctant when I don't see a single Japanese chef at a sushi restaurant but…read moredecided to eat here against my better judgement. The interior is done well and is stylistically very interesting. The food presentation was fantastic; you could not ask for a better photo op. However, the rolls were a disappointment. I ordered a 40 piece platter of rolls. For about $50US, I expected to be blown away. Instead, I wondered why there are peanuts and pomegranate seeds sprinkled over the rolls. It was odd and distracting but not enough not to notice that the rolls are mediocre. There was no subtlety of flavors; I could have cranked this out while looking at rough ratios of ingredients. We also ordered a soup. Inexplicably, it had tempura which dissolved into a puddle of goo in ten minutes flat. The soup flavor was nice, but the consistency and visual was much less appetizing. There was grotesquely overpriced plum wine and sake (yes, one variety of each- but plenty of Polish beers). After leaving the restaurant, everyone felt like they had a lead weight in their stomach and I vomited. I suspect a fish in the roll was in the edge of turning. I am giving the restaurant one star for nice service and attractive decor. The food may or may not be fresh and has none of the subtlety of actual Japanese food. This restaurant is an Eastern European interpretation of what Japanese food should be like; proper Japanese chefs in NYC or another large city would not try to pass this off.
