I chose New ID for a couple of reasons. I was recommended to them by a friend of a friend when I…read moredecided that I wanted a total make over before my wedding and secondly because I really liked their website and it really inspired me to go ahead and book. I have read a few reviews that go on about how much the prints or negatives on CD cost but I didn't find it prohibitively expensive because there are so many different options to choose from, you can get a 5 x 7 for only 50 pounds and then anything up to 20 x 24 or you can choose to have them on CD. I chose a 5 x 7 an A4, a 12 x 16 and one big 20 x 24 for my lounge! They also have a great range of frames to choose from, I really liked the Master Collection so also got some prints to go into I it and chose the credit option that costs me less than 20 quid a month, to my mind it is well worth the money looks fantastic on my wall, everybody has admired it so I was really glad that I made the decision to get it. What I was really impressed by was the amazing variety in the picture. The use of the different backgrounds give you so much to choose from. There was a wall so it looked like I was outside in my casual gear, complete with wind machine, there is a sort of circle that I sat in, crouched in and lounged in and each shot had something different and a different look, there are funky backgrounds for your party look, classy chairs, close up shots, extreme close ups, portraits, the diversity of the prints was just amazing and each shot had something unique about it, it was way better than I could ever have imagined. I was really comfortable having the pictures taken as well, I was very worried that I would get hit with nerves but the photographer was great and took it all in his stride and showed me how to stand and how to look and really did get the very best out of me and made me feel like it was the most natural thing in the world to be doing, it was like second nature. The framed pictures only took 2 weeks and four days to arrive, it felt like a lifetime because I was so excited to show them off and they were just as good as I had remembered. I was really happy with my experience, the value and the over all service. I have would have no hesitation in recommending New ID

Its all very true that Invicta Studio serves your need for a passport photo with aplomb. You go in,…read morethey take the photo, you pay, and its your property. That's all anyone could reasonably ask for from somewhere offering a passport photo, in my opinion. But, that is not all Invicta Studio does, oh no! They also vend a range of well-priced electronic goods such as mobile phones. These are good for calling your freinds and family with, and they are cordless, so you can walk around the street using them. They also have a function called 'texting', which is a bit like sending a telegram, but it happens instantly. God knows how it all works. Finally, Invicta sell.... model London buses.... in Manchester.... Thus, if you are coming to the UK as a tourist, and you don't want to go to London, but you want to pretend to all your friends that you have been there, you can come to Manchester and buy one of these as 'proof'. Strange shop, not sure what the logic behind it is, but it seems to be working, so fair play to it I say.

I was already late for my visa applications and was I relieved when I learnt that they also managed printing and photocopying! These guys give you great quality photos, also edited for any occasion which doubles up as a great idea for gifts and memories. Its location and service, makes it a great photo studio!

Jessops in Manchester is located at the end of Market Street, near enough opposite two large stores…read morein Debenhams and Primark, although this store is dwarfed by both of them, it is still quite a large store, over three floors. After passing Jessops on countless occasions as a frequent visitor to the city centre of Manchester, I thought I'd call in today to take a quick look around the store, especially with it recently re-opening after the refurbishment. The digital photo printing machines were okay, they still were slightly old and didn't stand out, they didn't seem as posh, vibrant and up to date, they just lacked, which one wouldn't expect from a store of this kind. The staff seemed a little too helpful, which was annoying, there was too many staff and they all seemed overally enthusiastic even when one member of staff had asked if I could help, someone else did, which I can't understand, it felt like the staff were trying to out-do each other and trying to run a pool out of which one the customers prefer. There is a small lift and staircase connecting the floors, however, i remained on the ground floor, the ground floor was slightly small and I would have preferred everything to be on one floor for ease. There was a small, decent range of cameras, I'm not a photographer and with my excellent camera on my Iphone 7 Plus, which is amazing the photos it can capture, I sadly don't feel the need for this expensive equipment with my phone but obviously there is a small market for it now, it is actually ironic Apple often use the space above this store and Market Street to advertise their phones and products including the camera. Overall, slightly frustrating service and other issues mentioned, I sadly feel this branch of Jessops only warrants a slightly generous two star rating.

They really are utterly useless…read more They claim to be experts in photography...........and yet their staff in the Manchester branch are beyond clueless - you really have to do your own research - don't ask them for help - they just "guess". And although this can be quite amusing it is quite annoying if you actually want advice on a camera. They are VERY overpriced. They claim to price match the competition which makes you think "Ah this is going to be a good deal"......but no.....it turns out they won't match any of the other local camera shops.....let alone Amazon (Amazon was ALOT cheaper). Delivery time.....lets say you get past the cluesness and the overpicedness and buy something from them and think "sod it I'm here now". Don't expect anything they claim will "get delivered the next day" to show up anytime soon.......or indeed at all.......infact they won't even tell you when it will show up. Will your new camera arrive tomorrow, in a week, in a month, in a year......who knows. Well maybe they do know but they sure as hell won't share that information with you. Now onto the good stuff.......they LOVE their insurance. It's very hard to talk to them about anything without them trying to charge you extra to insure it. Camera, Lens, Memory Card, Bag of Crisps a set of photographic dog turd bags. You name it they want to sell you insurance for it. And they don't like "no" as an answer. Honestly don't bother. Wex Photography are just down the road and they have people who have not only have seen a camera before but actually know how it works (and they are much cheaper).
