Boston has…read morebeen taking it to NorthShore Autoworks , specializing in Bmw's, etc. they told her that she would need front brakes in future and oil pan leaking mildly . Could wait until this fall 2026. I bring it to Portland automotive and they tell me I have about 15 things that should be addressed , total of $7200. Somehow, I didn't feel comfortable with the service manager owner when I asked him if there was flexibility in pricing during a text exchange, he did not answer. He seemed annoyed when I asked him if the parts were OEM, there was no detail on the estimate, In this regard. I have driven BMWs for 20 years. So I just got a phone call from a very highly regarded Bmw mechanic in West Hartford, who is known for as honesty. He told me my brakes were 75% fine a little wire on the rotors on the front and a little less in the back, but nothing I had to address right away. Whereas Portland automotive told me I needed a complete thermostat sensor yada yada when they check the codes, this Mechanic and West Hartford said he would do less and then see what happens (instead of trying to gauge me.) what convinced me to get another opinion was reading the reviews on Portland automotive, which seems sketchy, especially by men who probably it appears to me no more about cars versus the women to think they're very nice. Well, I'm a woman, but I go with my gut instinct, and in this case, it told me to go elsewhere.

I have been having my 20-year-old Mercedes serviced at Mercedes Benz of North Haven since I…read morepurchased it, and I have been impressed with their quality of service. The team has always done an excellent job of maintaining my car, identifying problems, and resolving them. For the most part, the service advisors have also been excellent at communicating with me throughout my visits. They take the time to explain what's going on with my car in terms that someone with limited mechanical knowledge can easily understand. I have a great deal of trust in their judgment. I would especially like to recognize Bobby Erickson, one of their outstanding service advisors. My husband and I go out of our way to request Bobby because he is truly exceptional. He is professional, personal, kind, and incredibly communicative. He takes the time to explain in detail what needs to be done, why it's necessary, and what he recommends. His knowledge and experience with Mercedes engines are evident and his advice is always thoughtful and helpful. Thank you to the entire team for the excellent service over the years, and a special thank you to Bobby Erickson for going above and beyond. He is a wonderful asset to Mercedes Benz of North Haven service department.

The experience went very well…read more I had to buy a motor, which no one ever wants to do, but these things happen. Fortunately, I have the means to transport one, which led me here. I was able to Facebook message Mike, and we worked out a great cash price on a VQ37 with 81k miles on it. Just $1100! Sure, might have found something slightly cheaper online, but having a motor shipped in sight unseen? Yikes, no thanks. And after all the work, the motor is simply EXCELLENT. My 370z (flex) spins like a top now... frankly it runs even better than the day I got it. Partial credit to the shop that did the work, and the remainder here for selling me a good engine. The one tiny little gripe is that dude at the front desk with the bluetooth headset and the glass surrounding his work area like a hockey rink. I mean, what IS that? Why work at a *front desk* if you are clearly trying to shield yourself from the outside world as you do... whatever the hell it is you do. Fortunately, there are other people working here. Anyway, thanks for the motor, I'll be back... but hopefully not for another motor ;).

I'm writing this review before receiving the product. The company seems legit, but they charge a…read morelot for freight shipping. $465 for CT to PA - 220 miles for a corolla hood. I'm not an expert on freight, but Grok states $465 is higher than what they calculate for that same shipment. This is just an FYI and may not be accurate. $465 just seems like a lot. There could be other factors I did not consider. Just be aware. Here is what Grok estimates it should cost. Step 4: Final Estimate Considering Terryville Auto Parts' experience with shipping auto parts and the likelihood of LTL freight: Freight (LTL): Base cost: $100-$150 (minimum charge or CWT-based). Fuel surcharge: $20-$40. Residential/liftgate: $50-$100. Total: $170-$290. Parcel (UPS/FedEx): Base cost: $50-$100. Oversize/residential fees: $5-$20. Total: $55-$120 (less likely due to size). Given Terryville's operations and customer feedback about shipping (e.g., $15 for a small part, suggesting cost-conscious shipping), LTL is more realistic for a hood. A reasonable estimate, balancing freight and parcel possibilities, is: Estimated Freight Charges: $150-$250
