Then she lied about it saying he hit his head on the floor. No, she beat that 5lb dog to death. She has also fatally strangled and stabbed other tiny dogs with grooming shears. As a yorkie mom, I'll tell you their skulls are no bigger than a small closed fist. The torture these loving little dogs died from is horrendous. She was filmed beating one tied up yorkie in front of her students. A tiny, tennis ball sized skull receiving repeated blows. This school should never be allowed to touch another dog and should be shut down. Do not leave you defenseless dog in her care because she will beat them in the head. Who knows how many dogs came out of her business with concussions. Who knows how many of her students practice the same cruelty. Brenda should not be allowed to even own pets of her own. Do not give her your hard earned money. If you do, you're putting a chance on your dogs life especially if they are a smaller breed who cannot take the force of her fists to their small skulls.

I'm sharing my experience so other pet owners can be aware…read more My dog had a grooming appointment at Heart and Paw. When we picked him up,instead of letting him walk out to us like normal, he was handed directly into our arms. At the time we didn't think much of it, but as soon as we got home he was clearly in pain and started limping. The limping lasted for about three weeks, which was very concerning for us. I called the clinic and asked if they could review their camera footage to see if anything might have happened during the grooming that could explain the issue. The manager later told me that they reviewed the tapes and did not see anything that explained how my dog may have gotten hurt. When I first called and explained that my dog was in a lot of pain, they initially told me they could see him the same day. However, after I mentioned that I might need to explore legal options regarding the situation, the appointment was canceled. That was extremely cruel because I had already explained that my dog was in significant discomfort. Because of this, I ended up taking my dog to another veterinarian for care because his actual clinic, Heart and Paw refused to see him. At the clinic where I took him afterward (Nippers Corner) they explained that when grooming is offered at their facility and a pet happens to get injured during the process, their veterinary team typically evaluates the pet right away and the owner is not charged for that visit. Hearing that made the situation even more frustrating for me because I felt like my concerns were not handled with the same level of care or responsibility at heart and paw. What was most disappointing to me was how defensive the situation felt and the lack of empathy from the manager when I was trying to figure out what happened and get help for my dog. Refusing Vet care to an animal is heartless. You should consider changing your name to heartless and paw. As a pet owner, you trust that your pet will be treated with care and that concerns will be taken seriously if something seems wrong. This place will not take responsibility for their actions and will show no empathy towards your pet. Based on my experience, I would encourage other pet owners to make sure their dog is able to walk normally and seems comfortable before leaving after an appointment. Unfortunately, the entire situation was very stressful for us and our dog. if you love and care about your pups, stay away from this place!

The call was to tell me that Misty was ready to be picked up. I could not believe my ears. I had bathed her prior to dropping her off because she smelled like a dog but I didn't think it would expedite a 3.5 hour grooming process. Little did I know what I was going to walk into when I got there. She claimed that she had given my dog another bath and she was still too matted to comb her beard. Guess it was just easier to shave her face down, so she did. Never called and consulted the owner, that would have been me. She didnt bother combing hour her legs either they are just as full as ever she looks like a Bichon and not a miniature schnauzer, she only cut her back and left her skirt and we never do that in the summer because she gets too hot. So, she just did whatever she he wanted to do and this was her only customer. Well now I know why NIKKI only had one customer today. Since she only had the one it looks like she could have taken the necessary time to come out my Misty's beard instead of cutting in all the way off. At this point if I could give it a thumbs down I would, the only saving grace from the visit was Chris the Assistant General Manager who told me I wouldn't have to pay for this monstrosity of a cut and he would that he talk store manager. I hope they o Provide her with the necessary tools she needs to do her job properly. Because this, is unacceptable, these are our babies and you don't get to do whatever you want to do to them. You have to ask permission and if we would be okay with your suggestion before you do something. THIS IS NOT OKAY..
