Picked up another great tree from Furrow Farm this year. Also got a beautiful, perfectly made wreath. They make it too easy ;) They have such a great selection of pre-cut trees, I always find a perfect one within minutes. They have a large selection to choose from. They also have a few spots for u-cut trees, one close to the parking lot and the others a bit farther out. But I haven't tried those yet. Their location is very easy to get to and parking is easy in their spacious lot. Service is always very friendly and helpful. They wrap the tree, trim the trunk, carry it to the car, and even offered to tie it down for me. A terrific experience overall and great source of beautiful trees! read more

Furrow Farm's quality, variety, and kindness of the staff exceeded our expectations. I had this farm bookmarked after passing by it during the summer. A quick glimpse of a few trees by the entrance caught our attention, and we looked forward to this year's seasonal opening. The U-cut trees were priced per foot with free bailing. They provided saws and carts. The grounds were well maintained. The trees were organized by fir varieties that included Noble, Nordmann, Grand, and Douglas. The 5 star staff explained the farm's layout as first timers here. Choosing the perfect one can get overwhelming since there were so many to choose from. They were very helpful and explained the difference between each fir to help guide our selection. We got a Douglas Fir because we liked the full coverage that would complement our ornaments. The smell of the freshly cut tree filled our house with a signature holiday aroma. We liked our experience so much that we plan to return next year. read more

My fiancé and I wanted to try a new u-cut farm and found this wonderful place. There are so many signs labeling where to park, where to pay, and where the specific farms were. They even have labels for the different types of trees. We parked and were immediately helped by a friendly worker. He asked what our preferences were for type of tree, height, fullness, etc. and clearly told us where to go. They have plenty of saws to borrow. They are animal friendly, as we brought one of our dogs with. They have visible wood chip walking paths, but if it's rainy like on a day like today, make sure to have sturdy and waterproof boots. We drove to the pay lane at the exit and were shocked at the affordable price! We got at least a 7' tree and it was very full- we only paid $60! With how expensive everything is these days, we were planning on spending $75-$125 for the perfect tree and left paying under budget. We will definitely be back next year! read more

Went to Thai place to cut down my first Christmas tree and it was packed at Saturday morning. We wanted to do cut your own tree and there was a long line at the second parking lot. The line moves fast and later we have noticed that they have several different parking lots but definitely need to go early. They provide hand sanitizer and hand saw that you can just grab and go directly into the woods. However, I wished there could be a bit more instructions on which area is what tree. Yes, a map is needed! The tree are smaller than I thought, baby Christmas tree. Average trees are about 5 and half ft, you can definitely find big ones, but quite rare. We end up getting a tree about 6ft. It's quite muddy at the area, so make sure you wear the right shoe. Also, bring a glove!!! The tree sap is quite sticky and a glove definitely help. They wrap the tree pretty fast and add a tag to your tree based on size. Then you drive out to the exit to pay. They do have some stuff to sale such as a wrath, or tree stand. But the small one was sold out ( guess most of their trees are small tree stand size). We ended up go to home depot to grab the tree stand. Phew, it will be quite stressful if we have a tree without a stand. Overall the experience is smooth, and quite excited on decorating my first real tree=) read more

LOVED FURROW FARM! This was our first time here and we will go here every year now. It was a short drive, and took no time at all. The people here were so nice, fun and organized. The farm is huge, the prices are VERY reasonable. If you want to do a U-Cut, they provide saws for you. They have little trollies you can take with you out into the area where you're searching so you don't have to haul the tree over your shoulder you can simply put it on the trolley and pull it back. It was so convenient. We paid $4 a foot for our grand fir (I think it was), with a $2 charge to have it tied up and got a 6ft tree for $26! It's beautiful! They color coordinate all the trees so when you go to pay you pull up and it's an 2 minute process it's so simple. They offer tractor rides too! I loved that because of how big the farm was it was separated into stations. A north u-cut, a south u-cut and it offered the same amenities. They had a nice cover for those waiting, they had a fire going to stay warm, and more. Very family friendly. Of course if you're not wanting to do u-cut they have pre cut trees ready to go to choose from! They have beautiful wreaths to purchase also. Loved this farm! read more

I went to Furrow Farms today to get my Christmas tree and it was such a good experience. I love having a Christmas tree, but I hate getting a Christmas tree. I will be a customer for life now - I was probably in and out in 10 minutes and got a beautiful tree. They wrapped it in twine and gave the trunk a fresh cut and loaded it into my car, and they seemed genuinely happy to help. It was priced really well compared to other places on the west side - 7-9' a foot. What a fantastic experience. Thank you! read more

This was our third time out there at Furrow Tree Farm, which is about a 20 mile round trip for us. This time was on a foggy Sunday afternoon 11/25/18, right after Thanksgiving, and they were very busy, but seemed to be able to handle the extra traffic. I snapped a few photos while waiting for my peeps to pick out a couple trees, as you see here using a Nikon D810 camera. They have a nice clean operation there. We did not have to trudge through the mud. Last year we also bought a pair of new plastic bases here, so that was convienent. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I came here this weekend after exploring two other farms in the area that had very limited options. Here you have a plethora of pre-cut trees near the exit where you pay (and I think enter too but now cannot recall), and also the u-cut area. The u-cut area also has some pre-cut trees, saws and $2 bundling. Everyone working was very friendly and patient with probably being asked the same questions multiple times. Where do you pay? Above and Beyond Customer Service- One of the only u-cut farms still open for the season and on weekdays. Great selection, quality of trees and reasonable prices. Dogs allowed on leash and covered bonfires around to stay warm. We realized we had a flat tire on arrival to the farm and two staff went above and beyond to help figure out how to access the spare, and then change it for us, allowing us to continue to enjoy our day and experience without losing time or extra expenses. We came here for the first time today based on all the great Yelp reviews but won't be back. The trees were healthy and the fields were easily accessible, but the trees were largely either too small or too large. We were looking for a 7'-8' tree and it was just two days after Thanksgiving - seems like there should have been plenty available. The biggest issue was the payment process. They only had one person taking payments as you exit. Maybe today was just exceptionally busy, but most people spent well over an hour inching towards the payment spot. Many other people left without getting a tree because it was just too painful. We pulled a "Beverly Goldberg" and only waited 30 minutes. We won't risk that again. There are plenty of other tree farms with better systems. read more

We have been to Furrow Farm for several years now selecting from both their pre-cut and u-cut trees. Because all of their trees are so good, we have selected one of the first trees we have come across each time. In addition, their trees have lasted well throughout the season. What a disappointment. Don't waste your time on this farm. The staff are rude, offering no service. There are little directions as to tree locations and hayride pickups. We spent over an hour trying to find even a reasonable tree to cut ourselves because it's been a family tradition. A majority of trees were very small needing at least a few more years. We lucked out and -can you believe- we ended up buying a precut tree. This was very close to causing a family meltdown. The cost was cheaper, we got a 6-7 foot for $50. Seriously don't waste your time. Drive a little further to Christmas Mountain. They have hot cocoa, lots of little fires, Santa is there, they have a cute gift shop and they tie the tree to your roof for you. read more

This is by far the highest quality Christmas tree farm in the Portland Metro. Incredible customer service, an excellent selection of tree varieties, and the best prices. The Furrows have two U-Cut areas and a fresh cut lot with the most beautiful Noble trees. They even have a third U-Cut lot full of Nordman Firs. (Personally my favorite tree. The needles last the longest...like til July...and they have the most gorgeous color and shape) You can cut Noble Firs, Balsam Firs, Grand Firs, Doug Firs, and Nordmann Firs. They provide the saws and can even bale your tree once you've chosen the perfect one. The fresh cut lot is the way to go. Superb customer service combined with a great selection of Noble Firs that smell just like the holidays. They have everything from 4ft. to 12ft at the U-Cut racks. And the Furrows take cash, credit/debit cards and checks. Absolutely outstanding experience. I've been getting our tree here for over 14 years. I couldn't recommend a better place. As an employee of Furrow farm I would just like to add to these comments. I was one of four, and at some points five, people taking money this weekend. We so appreciate the majority of people's patients with us! This weekend exceeded any exceptions the Furrows ever had for this farm and they work hard from sun up to well past sun down to keep it running smoothly. We have had many discussions about how to create a more efficient experience for everyone and have plans to improve next year. The growth we have seen this year was impossible to predict and we are restricted by what the county will allow us to do with exits and entrances but rest assured we have a place. We have heard and read suggestion and trust me all have been considered but we do it the way we do it for many reasons. Many people commented on the size of our trees and how they are either too small or too big. Please understand that being one of the only tree farms in the area still open doing what we are doing means that we will run out of selection quickly in the heights that most people want. Trees only grow 1 foot a year and it hard to predict how many people will want a 7 foot tree 7 years from now. Again the amazing support and love from the majority of people this weekend was amazing and so so appreciate. Improvements are on their way! Thank you for your patients read more

I have to agree with Kelsey B. I have been getting my tree here for several years now. They are one of the few tree farms still open, which means all you new people who love the traditional idea of cutting your own tree need to realize these are small companies and you are supporting the local businesses. If you want well paved roads and short wait times stick to the basic stores home depot and fred meyer for your dried out, pre cut trees from weeks ago. But, if you want to have the experience of cutting down your own tree close to home then give them a break. It's supposed to be the holiday season of good cheer and happiness. So relax, enjoy the time with the family in the line and quit been such downers on the holiday season. I'll continue to come to Furrow because we love the tree we get each year and the memories it give our kids. One other suggestion, maybe don't go on the weekend when everyone else is trying to do the same thing. Makes for long lines; do it with the kids after school instead, make it a fun adventure. read more
