I have a 10 thousand dollar credit limit there and I chose to by buy my furniture at another store. You read between those lines. I don't have to read between those lines. The Furniture employees suck. We bought over 5,000 in bed room furniture, was on our way to buy living room furniture. While in there looking I tripped over a rug that I didn't see. I fell face first. I have two hip replacement's and a bad back. All this fall did was make things worse. The worst thing is the manger Cory at that store acted like it was no big deal. Ordered a bed frame and dresser/nightstand in November. Was given Jan 15th as the delivery date. Jan 15th comes and goes with no one reaching out to me. I finally get ahold of someone and now my delivery has been updated to April. This mean I will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor for about 6 months total. Had I known this in the beginning I would have went somewhere else. read more

Ugh! Came in looking for nightstands but ended up at the living location... no one greeted us.... even after walking around the whole store I was frustrated unable to locate the bedroom section and the fact that not a single person had greeted us, talked to us or acknowledged us ... we left and heard to our tried and true forum location. read more

My husband, children and I went in to look for living room furniture and no one acknowledged us at all. We walked around the entire store, sitting on multiple sofas and still none of the 3 employees even said hello. An "older" woman came in a few minutes after us and the female employee welcomed her and tried helping her but just glared at us like we were going to shoplift a sofa. Basically if you don't fit their profile of a "buying" customer they won't help you. Sad too because there was something I was interested in but will not purchase from these people, I will take my cash purchase to somewhere that my mixed family will be appreciated. We are new to the San Antonio area and she was so sweet to explain the area and give us pointers on where to shop for the rest of our home furnishings. Purchased a Bed and Chest for my son and was told 7-10 business days to be delivered. Haven't yet received it so I called and talked to Lawson Barber. Tells me he needs me to bring receipt back to the store which, is 30 mins away to show proof I paid for it. Me calling, giving invoice number and accepting my money wasn't good enough for Lawson Barber. Took some time off from work to settle into my house and have my son's room ready. Just a waste of my time due to unprofessionalism. read more

As far a budget house furniture stores, this is pretty close to the bottom. Everything is sold, as is... or what you see is what you get. Pricing was fair, but the store manager is not. He is always on the defensive and very arguementive. He really should look around before speaking out about potential customers or like us... they will walk out the same door they came in. If I could give less than one star I would. Here is what happened. My wife and I went here looking for a kitchen table. As we were looking we noticed a sign that said lowest price 200% guarantee. We noticed a table we had just looked at in rooms to go and it was cheaper there so we asked about the deal. We were told that if you find it cheaper somewhere else they would refund the difference plus 200%. We thought we ha just found a great deal. I said to the saleswoman, "I know this is cheaper at rooms to go". She verified the price and said they would sell it for $30 cheaper. I mentioned that was not in line with their guarantee. We were basically told too bad. Awful customer service and their guarantee is worthless. I will never purchase from this store. read more

Be prepared to be talked down to and hung up every time you call. When placing my order the guy had put the wrong apt umber. I have called maybe 5 times to get it corrected because it would still show up wrong on my invoices/emails/etc. I am scheduled for a delivery 2-5p today, I just got hung up on by the lady who still confirmed the wrong apt #, I gave her the right one.. had another question but she wasn't on the phone anymore. This big store is a step above the cheapo discount furniture outlets but still has some reasonably priced items. You'll find a wider selection of brands and the upholstered furniture is better quality here, plus you'll have more fabric options to choose from versus Rooms To Go. I can't say the sales person I was dealing with was overly attentive or terribly helpful, but it wasn't a bad experience. I'll come back when I need an important piece for my new home. read more

Terrible service, rude, rude, rude! I had what I wanted. Didn't buy it. Went to the Oak Express near the Forum (35 past 1604) . Just could not buy anything from the rude salesman (saleswomen were fine). The tall older man was rude to me AND rude to the other salespeople. I really don't understand why people like that are not fired. It was VERY clear that this is his every day behavior. The people at the other store were nice. Prices are the same at both stores. read more

No stars, worse customer service ever!!! Walk in and see two employees. Two other customers are in the store. They are together. We walk toward the recliners. After a few minutes, Victor, comes up and asks do you need help? Yes, my mother is looking for a chair/recliner. No problem, we can also special order for you. Let me know if you need any other help. Really???!!! Ok, let that go. Walk toward the back and see other recliners. See Victor sitting at his desk. Wait a couple of minutes. Another lady walks in they greet her. Still waiting and he's still sitting. Walk up and ask him if he gets paid by commission. Yes sir I do. Just wondering because you are just sitting there. So he says, I told you to tell me when you needed help. Again, really???!!! Told him this is the worse customer service. I told him to get someone else to help. He said ok and walked away. A few minutes pas and no one. Tell my mother lets go. As we are walking out a lady comes out and says may I help you? No thank you, you took to long. She said sorry I was helping another customer. Had a couch and a small end table delivered today. Both items were as is and I was ok with that but I did make sure to ask my sales clerk (Rebecca) of what would happen if it is delivered and additional mishaps occur. She told me that if it were to happen it wouldn't go under the "as is" but was assured that their delivery guys were really good. The end table glass top was shattered. I called the store right away and spoke to Sasha and was told that since Rebecca; my sales person wasn't there and her immediate boss was busy with a customer it would have to wait until tomorrow when they open. What a load of crap with these people. I have never had to deal with incompetence at this level. Bad leadership and no initiative is obviously what this store is good at doing. read more

My husband and and I have shopped at many high end stores and when we discovered Sofa Mart we were not disappointed. We have bought several pieces of furniture there and really like their clearance room as well where we've purchased great accessories and even a great piece of furniture. I drove all the way across town today to visit this store, as I needed furniture for my living and family rooms for my new home. Okay, parking lot empty - not a good sign. I was in the store for approximately 45 minutes browsing the floor, sitting on sofas, checking product dimensions and color swatches. There was not a salesperson on the floor. No one came out and offered to help. I guess I could have just carried merchandise out to my car and left. Hey, I bet I could have gotten someone to show up then! Limited and unimaginative collection to say the least, but guess who will not be buying her furniture at this store - ever! read more

Terrible. Spoke with our salesperson about some flaws on their display. I specifically asked that zero damage arrive with my new items coming from their warehouse delivery, and I was assured none would be. Of course they delivered when I was at work and items had entire trim pieces missing. Do not buy from this place. You spend good money and they delivery flawed and damaged items. Very terrible. I will never step for in this place again. DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE CROOKS. 2 out of 3 pieces damaged. Live and learn. Very poor terrible. This was a gift for my wife and they ruined it.
