We've been collecting mid century modern furniture for our new home, and Carolina Furniture…read moreRestoration has become our absolute go to for bringing these pieces back to life. They restored our Merton Gershun Accord bedroom set, which we sourced from different vendors. The nightstands, dresser, and mirror were in decent shape, but the headboard was in a bit rougher shape. Now every single piece looks cohesive, flawless, and honestly better than we ever imagined. We also brought them a 1969 Lane coffee table we found on Facebook Marketplace. It had water stains, uneven legs, and plenty of wear. Brian worked his magic, and it came back looking like a showpiece. It is perfectly restored, structurally solid, and visually stunning. On top of that, we purchased unfinished wood bedframes and had them tone and color matched to our MCM sets. The match is spot on !!!! You'd never know they weren't part of the original collection. Their attention to detail is incredible, pricing is excellent, craftsmanship is outstanding, and communication/responsiveness is top tier. They keep you in the loop with pictures of the restoration process. They're also refreshingly no nonsense and genuinely do right by you. They explain exactly what needs to be done and why. While other places gave quotes based on photos, Brian actually came out to our storage locker to inspect everything firsthand so he could give an accurate assessment. Brian was more than happy to help us decide on our furniture purchases. We had seen two headboards for our Gerhsun set on ebay at vastly different price points. Both would have needed to be restored, though one looked in a bit worse shape than the other. Brian expertly steered us to purchasing what we needed and saved us significant cash. One final thing, is Carolina Furniture restoration is able to accommodate tight timelines without sacrificing quality. Carolina Furniture Restoration is the real deal. They are skilled, honest, and passionate about their craft. We couldn't recommend them more highly.

I was treated professionally. The price was high - a minimum of two hours at $140 an hour so I…read moreexpected a solid job. He did find the hinges I needed for the doors on a dresser even though the dresser old. He put them in but did not show me till after that he had to remove some wood pieces on side to get the hinges to fit. It looks bad but will look better when I stain exposed areas. My one major complaint is that one door is perfect and closes well. The other door is slightly off - when I close it rubs against the side of the dresser. In closing it has actually "shaved" off some of the wood on the door. I will have to sand the door to keep it from rubbing on the side of the dresser

Repaired some inherited silver pieces well and polished them to boot! Appreciated that they were willing to revisit and called me to let me know the outcome of the reevaluation. Really appreciated the entire interaction with them and would use them again.

The medal supervisor agreed it was something they could do. They did advise me it would be 3 months out because they were so busy. This was early April. I called in September just to check and was told it was not ready yet, probably October. They emailed me early October it was ready. I went to pick it up. The person that waited on me at pick up brought the table out. I started looking at it and questioned some markings on what was supposed to be the new leg. When he went back to ask about it I was then told they could not replace it, they just repaired it. awhile he was done I started looking over the table and was astonished at the poor repair work. The work was very poor, I think a local welder could have done as well. The table is not level, the leg does not reach the shelf that would let it handle weight (all others do). I am most upset that I was not informed about the change. I could Have looked for someone else. When I picked it up they would have charged me full price if had not questioned the work. I did pay 1//2 the quote which was the deposit and way too much for the quality of work that was done. Beware because haveing a written work order does not guarantee that is what will be done.
