Furniture Innovation I wanted to buy a sleeper sofa for my home. I reached out to Mr. Edward Ellsworth, owner of Furniture Innovation in Spring Hill, Tennessee. He stated they had several sofas to choose from. I spoke with Mr. Ellsworth and told him I would come into the store on Thursday, May 4, 2023, and make a decision. I stressed to him I needed the sofa by Friday, May 5, 2023. He said it was imperative I come by on May 4, 2023, so he could ensure I could get the sofa. I went to Furniture Innovation on Thursday, May 4, 2023, and spoke with Mrs. Kim Ellsworth, the office manager. I stressed I needed the sofa by Friday, May 5, 2023. Mr. Ellsworth joined our conversation and stated that it takes two to six weeks to get a product in and he could not ensure I would get the sofa by May 5, 2023. I told him per our previous conversations, he never stated that. He further stated that there could be potential problems and he could not guarantee I would get the sofa when I needed it. THAT should have been a RED FLAG because he literally did a 360-degree TURN versus our prior conversations. When individuals do this, TAKE NOTICE and DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! Horrific Customer Service Sleeper sofa in my stairwell since Thursday, May 4, 2023, Edward Ellsworth, the owner of Innovation in Spring Hill, Tennessee told me he would have his storage manager come Thursday evening to move the sofa. He stated his storage manager had over seventeen years of experience in moving furniture and could quickly resolve the problem. No one came Thursday evening, May 4, 2023, to move the sleeper sofa out of the stairwell. Broken Promises I called Furniture Innovation and was told by Mr. Ellsworth someone would be at my home first thing Friday, May 5, 2023, to move the sleeper sofa NO ONE CAME! I waited ALL DAY and then called the store only to be told by the owner, Edward Ellsworth, he had gone over and beyond assisting me in my purchase of the sleeper sofa. He stated the warehouse manager would be there shortly to move the sleeper sofa. He assured me he was experienced in moving furniture and the problem would be resolved shortly. At 6:00 p.m. I called the store and spoke with Mr. Ellsworth. He stated his people had been detained because they had delivered furniture to a bed and breakfast establishment and it had taken longer than they anticipated. My response, is how? By having me stay at home all day to get a sleeper sofa out of my stairwell and not calling me to tell me that no one would be coming that day! Mr. Ellsworth blamed me because the sleeper sofa was a challenge in getting into my basement. I asked him to pick the sofa up and he stated that all sales are final and there would be no refund. Mr. Ellsworth stated on Friday evening, May 5, 2023 someone would be at my home first thing Monday, May 8, 2023, to move the sleeper sofa. I received a call from Edward Ellsworth, Furniture Innovation, the warehouse manager would be there first thing, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, to move the sleeper sofa. He didn't know on Friday, May 5, 2023, the warehouse manager was off on Monday, May 8, 2023. REALLY??? Edward sent two guys to move the sofa from the stairwell on Monday, May 8, 2023. I called Furniture Innovation on Tuesday morning, May 9, 2023. I spoke with Edward. He told me he didn't know when the delivery people would be coming to my home. He stated there were other customers ahead of me and that he wasn't sure they would be coming today. He asked me to take pictures of where the sofa was going. I then said goodbye. I am LIVID!!! Rude Edward Ellsworth, Furniture Innovation owner is very rude and belligerent. Once he gets your money, he doesn't care how he responds or treats the customer. He operates under the premise the business is ALWAYS RIGHT instead of providing Good Customer Service. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS with this establishment again. read more

Furniture Innovation - My Present Situation My sleeper sofa is in my kitchen. Also, my door is off the hinge, and blocking my cabinets. - Furniture Stores Near Me - Columbia, Tennessee

While in the store they weee very attentive and made promises they intended to keep. I get that the supply chain is slow so I didn't expect the chair in the 6 weeks they said it would take as the max time. Fast forward over 3 months I called and got different answers. After them being very rude to me they said my husband could come and pick out a chair they offered the cheapest in the store. I am not even most upset at not getting the chair that I ordered but on the lack of responding, the tone on the phone, and the way we were treated after we made the sale. Bummed we went here instead of elsewhere. Good customer service is more important that low prices. read more

Please do not ever use this business. Edward could not tell the truth if his life depended on it. He promises items our in stock and even after a month of waiting I still have not received what I purchased. Then instead of having an honest conversation he berates me and makes comments that some people who say our racist. He claimed that all the fire stations in Columbia will only use him, but that was another lie. Shop anywhere but there. read more

I have purchased several pieces of furniture from here and spent hundreds of dollars. The last item I purchased was a couch, the sales associate sold me the warranty and told me it covers any type of accidents including pet accidents. About a year later my pet had an accident on the couch, I cleaned it up and contacted them regarding the warranty. They then sent me an email saying that the warranty is not valid if I tried to clean the urine up! Basically I'm supposed to just leave urine on the couch with my pets and children. They then offered me a discount on a new couch! Sounds like a scheme to just get people to pay for a warranty and not follow through. No one in their right mind isn't going to clean up a urine mess on their couch. I will never be shopping here again and regret sending people here for furniture. read more

Super great customer service excellent quality of furniture!!! Highly recommend them to anyone interested in buying furniture!!!!

I have purchased over $4000 with this company and I am sitting here today totally disgusted. Erin, Brad DJ and Edward are good people but it doesn't help my frustration. I did not buy "Bush" DIY furniture. I walked into their place after having been to Ashley and knew exactly what I wanted - sofa and big leather reclining den furniture and no selling had to occur. I was also looking for breakfast room table and chairs but it needed to be on the smaller side due to limited space. The set when it arrived was too big for the space and I felt like I had communicated what I was looking for. Being able to take back was initially an issue but we worked through it and I have a set that fits appropriately and goes with my furniture. It tuned out there was a difference if $208 between the tables to my favor. They will not credit an account! One of the persons who delivered a table was so lackadaisical in the delivery that he dented my refrigerator and of course he still works for them! No apologizes from management just excuses for the person. So I had to spend the credit monies there! I wanted a new entertainment center and wanted to use the credit but was told no additional discounts if using a credit! You are kidding me right? Nope. We finally worked out a deal and there is where we are today! Entertainment center apparently came in end of last week and I am all excited about the new furniture. I receive a big box weighing probably 200# and it is 12 inches by around 8 feet! It's not put together! I am 68 years old and made it very clear when I walked in their doors that I expect my furniture to be put together that I was not shopping DIY. If I was shopping DIY I would not be paying their prices! I have called and told them that have seen the last of my business. Apparently they don't care! I am not a $2999 full house furniture buyer and my expectations are not concerning to them! See Mary J review - Assembly included That deal wasn't a good deal when I had to pay $100 to have assembled (30-45 minutes). If you want DIY buy here. They of course blamed me for not paying to have put together but I told them (Brad, Edward and Erin) I don't want anything brought to my house not assembled several times during my course of dealing with them! I call this not listening to the customer or choosing to ignore the customers wishes. What a customer receives is apparently different from customer to customer. I should have walked when I saw all the rules when purchasing from Furniture Innovations. There is nothing in the customers favor. They will NEVER credit the credit card company. Purchases are paid upfront and charged immediately to the credit card whether you receive in 1 week, 1 month, 2 months or 6 months. They use your money even before you have received the product. Next time I will listen to my gut! Beware they do not break down the purchase item by item and insurance showing the cost for each. There is nothing in the paperwork that identifies you are getting insurance even though you are told that you have it! I don't trust this as a legitimate way to do business! NEXT TIME I WILL LISTEN TO MY GUT AND RUN NOT WALK AWAY! Thank you! Dee Smith read more

We were told that the furniture that we wanted was in the warehouse and we could have it in 2 days. Then they called us and said 2 4 weeks! When it was finally delivered it had to be assembled!!! What kind of crap is this. We were stuck with all tha boxes . This is not the way to do business. We are seniors and had a very difficult time. If we wanted cheep furniture we would order on Amazon. We will never go there again and will tell everyone about your store!!!!! They never told us that this stuff was no assembled. read more

There is a reason this business has only 1 star reviews. This owner makes all kinds of empty promises. We ordered a bedroom set and when it delivered it didn't look anything like the picture he showed us. The set was short a nightstand which he said he would order for us and then never did. When we tried to follow up about it he was extremely rude and condescending. He told us included in our price the guys would put the set together but then claimed he never said that. The list goes on with the issues we had with him! I highly recommend you look anywhere but here for your furniture needs. read more

We are also saddened by the lack of professionalism shown to us by the owner, Ed Ellsworth. Ed was very disrespectful and condescending. When we approach him about an issue with a piece of furniture, or about a delivery issue, the only response we get is "get over it." "We give you good pricing and get the items to you quicker than anyone else will." The first piece of furniture had a cut in the back of the sectional. I had to send him pictures and was told that it had to be in the same quality as when delivered. No pet hair, spots or crumb. Had to call after 2 weeks to see if it had come in. Told me he didn't receive the pictures, which he did through email. So it took another week before we received the replacement. When the replacement came, the driver dropped it off the truck. The driver was also argumentive. We told them to come to the front and he kept saying the last time he came through the back door, which wasn't true. We told them we were not happy with the second section that was delivered, it had a saggy back. He told us he would not order another section for us to come look at the one he had on the floor. He said either we took the one on the floor or keep what we had. He said he would give us a discount, but haven't seen it. The one on the floor had some spots that looked like they had rubbed on the wall. Quality of the furniture is good, service while you're purchasing is good, actual delivery of product and response to issues with product or delivery is awful. We will not use Furniture Innovations again. read more

We purchased 3 bar stools from Furniture Innovations. When the stools arrived at the store they came in boxes of two each. The staff gave us one unopened box and opened another box and gave us a stool and hardware. When we got home and I began to put the stools together I realized all the parts for the stool that had come from the open box were not there. I immediately called the store and was told to bring the stools back to the store where they would put them together and deliver them for free, which they did. I was impressed with customer service and the way they resolved the issue so quickly. I am giving a 4 rating due to the fact that I had to make an unnecessary trip to return the stools. I would definitely purchase from this store again. The furniture they have is high-end, beautiful and many unique pieces. Staff are friendly and helpful. read more

We never got called back we called and try to tell cancel our order we need to got get it elsewhere and they no refund but on the website It clearly says you can return if not satisfied or product is damaged. I have nothing to do with truck not showing up on time or a piece didn't come in I said Friday you we can make it happen cause we got a truck coming. Look plz if you have a family in was blessed to make some good moves in your life that involve having to purchase furniture please stay away from this lieing man and his company I'm going deeper into this and tryna let whoever that is over him and so on that he should be looked at if y'all are trying have a respected name in that business. read more

I don't normally write reviews, especially reviews that might hurt someone's business. But this time my conscience will not let me not write this review. I will never shop there again and would not recommend doing so to anyone else. I had the same experience as other reviewers here. I feel like these people are con artists. I was treated very well when I went in to the store, they wanted me to purchase a lot. The owner promised we would be so taken care of. I could not even get an itemized receipt before I left and I should have listened to my heart warning me right then to not do business with them. We were told not to worry about anything, to let him do his thing, that he is so good at because he wants repeat customers and has been doing this for years. After the sale, we were treated very poorly. They did not do what they said they would do, which was critical to the items we ended up with. There were several phone calls related to deliveries and then to confirm what they had told us. The staff said they would call "right back," and never did, knowing that they were not going to make good on their word. Written communications were rude and they acted like they had never said what they said. Drove in from another city to sweetly try to resolve things in person, and was treated like a common criminal when I went into the store. Actually said he was too busy helping his dear and important friends to help me . This is not the way to run an honest business or any business, really. read more

We purchased a sofa here from Ebony, great customer service. We went back to purchase a mattress and when it was delivered it had a fist sized hole in the bottom of . when we contacted them the day of delivery they told us they would replace it. The next day when we called to check the status they said it was sold as is and they wouldn't replace it. He never said that while we were in the store,if so we wouldnt have purchased it there. I wont be shopping here again ever. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. We bought a dining room table, couch, loveseat, coffee table and side tables from Furniture Innovation. They talked us into buying the warranty and we also paid to have it delivered and set up. They delivered it and then left, we had to set the furniture up ourselves, take it out of boxes, unwrap and assemble. Had we not it would have been a week before they said they could come back and do it. We assembled it and called them to let them know not to bother coming out. Do NOT waste your money on the warranty because they do not honor their word. They will tell you it will cover everything, pet urine, human urine, pets tearing or chewing it up, any rips and tears. We recently moved out of state and noticed a tear in our couch, as well as scratches from our pets. Contacted Furniture Innovation who said they would send the info to the warranty department, 2 months went by so I contacted them again regarding our warranty. They said they could not honor the warranty because it was torn in transit and their warranty doesn't cover that. We don't know if it was torn in transit or not, but regardless, this was never disclosed to us. And I emailed Ed again regarding this issue and he came back with they can't honor the warranty now because we moved out of state. My recommendation is if you want excellent customer service, a real warranty then go to a real furniture store with real professionals that are honest and trustworthy. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have shopped at this store several times for small cash items no problems. However, when I go to make a large purchase, the service has been awful and very sub-par but the owner is a sub-par kind of person not very honest. His words doesn't match his action. I was promised delivery of my furniture in 3-4 weeks if I purchased from him rather than going to Ashley's Furniture because he could get it before they could so I trusted him. I purchase a complete bedroom set with twin adjustable mattresses &frames (very expensive) and a living room set to include 2 sofas and an oversized chair. Ed, the owner is very charming when working deals to get you to purchase from him but once the contract is signed you hear nothing from him because he's very busy. Upon purchasing the furniture I explained I did not want the order piece milled meaning I wanted everything delivered at the same time. On the date of the delivery after i told them no several times he assured me he had all items but the oversized chair. When in fact that was very untrue, there was not oversized chair, no sofas, no dresser, no chester and no post for the shay king size bedroom set i ordered. What I got was the mattresses, base, a mirror, footboard, and headboard but no post. Oh, and let's not forget the damaged night stand. The delivery guys left this stuff in my bedroom scattered about the floor. Ed's excuse was he needed to move the inventory out of my store because he owes everything in his store unlike other furniture stores. Then I got a call for a second delivery, the sofas. The sofas arrived, guest what, both were the wrong colors. So again, i was left disappointed. So now he tells me he was 4-6 weeks policy to have my ordered shipped, well today makes 6 weeks and no furniture. When I called the store, to get a refund I was told that was not allowed in the contract. I will be calling the financing companies to share with them the type of business he conducts. He's not a honest person, I would rather shop at Big Lots before ever shopping at this place again. Take your hard earn money elsewhere. I will never shop there or recommend anyone else to purchase from Furniture Innovaton, Inc. A hit dog will holler every time. He preys on a certain cliente but I'm not that cliente and even extended his hours to get your stimilus checks. Words from him not me. I will also be contacting Ashley's because he's not a true reflection of what Ashley's Furniture represents. read more

We moved here from out of state and have visited this store twice so far, once to view furniture and once to purchase... I cannot recommend this business highly enough!! They were always courteous. Will change my rating if I can only get a call back and my furniture delivered. I know you have it because a month ago I was told you had all but one part, and that my items would be delivered on 10/14. Well no show so far. Can you give a star with a minus? Buyer Beware. When a company requests cash or check over ATM or credit card payment for purchases, know that is a RED FLAG. These people have every excuse, story, justification you can think of, to keep your money & not provide services. By paying with a check...You will have no recall. Your bank or creditor cannot protect you when Ed, owner/manager at Furniture Innovation, fails to provide your furniture after the maximum wait period for delivery (in writing), 6 weeks, is not met, & when they cannot provide your order from Ashley because it was & is unavailable, or any other company you've ordered from through them, they will not return your money. I am a senior citizen on limited income & they saw me coming like hungry wolves & have treated me poorly. Ed has verbally intimidated me & when I call to to request my money be returned since my items aren't even available, he hung up on me. This has been the worse business venture I've ever experienced. read more

This company has the worst customer service and does not know how to resolve issues. I've had several pieces of furniture delivered across a 3-month span. every time you call and ask about it, I get a "we in a pandemic" speech. How come they didn't say that when I'm making a purchase and promised it will only be 2-week waiting time? Then THEY get an attitude with you when it's been 2months and you're checking up on your purchase. Then they ship one piece of my stuff at a time and notify you 30mins during a workweek that they're about to come to your house. Not, we will come to your house Thursday around said time in at least a 1 -3day advance!!! Oh and b/c I purchased some items on sale, I was treated horribly and they didn't have a problem reminding me that "You purchased it on sale so you will get it when we decided to come to you!" I wish I could warn people about how horrible they treat you after they get your money. Some of my furniture came in defective and their only reply was we can send someone out there to fix it??? After they haven't even sent someone out to deliver the rest of my furniture??? read more

PLEASE READ... (Wrong couch 3 times) I was the person that barely trusted reviews. I should've followed everyone else and ordered elsewhere. I purchased a couch, paid $1200 up front for the entire setup. Asked for an update weeks into this... No call back. 33 - I REPEAT - THIRTY THREE PHONE CALLS, is what it took to get ahold of these people. One person would say one thing, another would say differently. I almost had to seek legal counsel. They finally delivered the correct couch, after delivering the wrong one two times. These men do not care about customer service, following up, or understanding the importance of taking the blame. They'll blame the factory all day long. Truth is, they're the business owner. You can't just blame the factory every time. Their business model is simple... Take your money, and then they're happy. After 3 months, 2 wrong couches, and no phone calls back.......... Edward the owner will not even offer a single penny for my time. This man is an absolute crook. I'm not the only one either. I found 5 other customers through the Internet with the same or similar situation. Please do not give this man your hard earned money. If he replies to this... You've got to understand that it's lies, and a cold hard sales tactic. He does not care about anything other than the sale. Contact me for more info you'd like to hear more. Never again. read more

Not a great experience. Delivery was delayed for weeks. Some damage to our pieces but there was a no refund policy. They did give us about 40 percent of our money back after an intense negotiation with the owner but never delivered our lamps. I don't love confrontation so was entirely uncomfortable with this. Owner was polite the whole time, though, which gave them three stars instead of one. I simply don't like to negotiate after the fact. We just wanted what we ordered in perfect condition.
