Just picked up our dog from her first day at furever friends and she was covered in blood. We went to ask why she was covered in blood and the woman at the desk couldn't tell us what happened because she didn't know why. Our dog was also soaking wet and when I asked why she said "from drinking water" I then brought up the spray bottle they use on the dogs and she said "yeah we sprayed her because she was running" ... dogs aren't allowed to run? My dogs eyes were also blood shot and that wasn't explained either. Keep your dog safe and don't bring them to this place. read more

We were gone to Maui for 8 days and a week before we lost our dog socks. When we came home missy was in high spirits. We have been customers of Furever friends both as a Daycare and as a Groomer since April of 2017. Grooming: Wow, they know how to Groom and how to treat my dogs. My dogs are always happy when they arrive and look great when we pick them up. They wash, clip, cut, file, sanitary clip and do a wonderful job grooming what can be difficult with Australian Shepherds. Reasonably priced and great results! Daycare: Located just a few minutes from Downtown the facility has two large rooms one outside but covered and private, cool on those hot (Very Few) summer days. The second room is inside and keeps the room comfortable for their clients. I never see an accident and have dropped off and picked up at all hours of the day :). They will expect you to ensure your dog is healthy which minimized the risk of disease, Thanks Furever Friends! A great choice for both your grooming needs and daycare. read more

This doggy daycare has the rudest staff. As a new customer they were not welcoming or kind at all. I tried this doggy daycare and was treated horribly. I arranged to drop my dog off at 6:30am the day before, and when I got there the gates were closed. I called and the woman who answered very rudely said she wasn't aware that I had arranged to drop my dog off and if the gates are closed it means they're not open. When she agreed to let me drop my dog off she didn't greet us or welcome us, she grabbed my dog's leash and took her inside without saying anything to me, she was clearly annoyed. Not a good first impression at all for a first time customer. The 2nd day wasn't any better. When I dropped my dog off the same woman complained about how "accommodating" she was, yet she still made no effort to welcome me or my dog. She was extremely rude. When I picked my dog up that afternoon the same rude woman said they do open at 6:30 but if I could give her until 6:35 or so, so she can open the daycare and turn the lights on. If you advertise opening at 6:30 that shouldn't mean 6:35 or later. Worst doggy daycare experience I've had. Definitely would NOT recommend. read more

I would not recommend going to Furever friends due one of the staff members (I believe its the owner) making passive aggressive statements about the kind of food my dog is eating and the medication he was taking. My dog has had a a history of skin issues and allergies and I have had a vet instruct me on the types of food he should eat. On numerous occasions one of the ladies at the front desk made statements about how we aren't feeding him the "right" kind of food in a condescending tone. Additionally she told me not to use antibiotics for one of the uncomfortably bad skin infections my had and blamed it on the food we are feeding him. Just to make it clear, she is not a vet and should not be making uneducated statements to customers about their pets. We have chosen to attend another doggy day care and have had a much better experience. Our dog even seems to be even more excited to go to his new daycare read more

The staff at FurEver Friends were awesome and took such incredible care of our 18 month old male Aussie Cattle Dog, Rocko and our 15 year old female Aussie Shepherd, Matilda for over three weeks this past July while my wife and I participated in the Bellingham Music Festival. We were so worried about the socialization of our Cattle Dog and how he might (or might not) get along with other dogs. When we showed up for a visit prior to our pup's stay we were amazed to find they had 5 other Cattle Dogs there (among a variety of other breeds), so the staff at FE-F had no problems with dealing with our Cattle Dog's temperament. The folks there were professional and had a solid commitment to care for all dogs. They were lovely people to work with as well. I couldn't recommend FurEver Friends doggie care high enough. Their care was off the scale!! 10******'s on a scale from 1 - 5. read more

If you want your dog to have a fun place to play with other dogs while you're at work don't come here. They apparently have too many senior dogs so if your dog likes to play they are considered disruptive to the older dogs. Why in the world would you have a "doggy daycare" where your dog is punished for playing too much? The whole reason we bring our dog to a daycare is for him to play and get his energy out so he isn't stuck at home while we work. Our dog is well mannered and passed the temperament check but we were told he "played too hard" and was "too excited". I want my dog to be happy and enjoy where is during the day, otherwise I wouldn't be paying someone to have him. We've never had this problem at any other daycare, unfortunately we just moved here so we wanted to try it out, my advice: take your money elsewhere - where your dog can be a dog. read more

The owner and staff here are awesome and reliable. They truly care about what's best for your dog. Plus the convenience of being able to drop them off anytime without an appointment makes it a ideal. This place is just...amazing. All 3 staff members I met were kind, accommodating, and clearly love their jobs. My little dude is almost 11 years old and has never been left with a stranger, let alone overnight. I found us in a situation where he could not travel with me and called FurEver friends like a day before I had to leave to ask if they could watch him overnight, and the woman who helped me coordinated with another staff member to make sure my boy had a place to stay. Jocelynn was the wonderful woman who watched my pup in her own home, and she is just the absolute embodiment of what I would have wanted in a sitter. She sent me extremely cute pics of my dog interacting with hers and sleeping on various pieces of furniture, and updated me a few times that he was doing great. And...she didn't even get mad that he stole food from her cat :) Anyway- if you live in/near Bellingham and have a pet that needs care, I would suggest this place 100%. read more

We have been using Forever Friends as our primary daycare since 2018 when we got Napoleon, our Frenchie. We now have a new pup, and she loves going as well! We are very pleased with the supervision and the companionship that this daycare provides for our dogs. Both dogs exhibit really happy body language both coming and going from their time at Forever Friends. They show interest in the staff as well. I know Theresa and Jenna both genuinely care about and love our dogs. I appreciate the transparency Theresa offers as she is willing to answer our questions, tell us about how our dogs are doing, and note any problem behaviors or other things she has noticed. Having two Frenchies with skin issues, she often pointed out when she would notice excessive itching, licking, vomiting, not-so-solid poops, etc (Issues we also saw at home and we're trying to problem solve). She can be assertive when expressing her opinion on dog foods and making recommendations but she is only trying to help. I can happily saw that after 3 years we have finally found the right food for our pups. They do not treat employees or dogs well at all. They are homophobic and very rude. I got my dog groomed there once and when I walked in to check on my dog, I saw the lady who originally greeted me aggressive scruff another dog and yank his head back, telling him to 'knock it off' when he slightly shifted positions while getting groomed. She seems to have very little patients with dogs. Not a good trait for a dog groomer. I also heard her talk very condescendingly towards someone it looked like she was training. My husband picked my dog up later when she called to say he was ready. His haircut wasn't great, and he had no mats before getting groomed, and it took almost 5 hours. He said that she almost didnt let him take the dog home and was extremely rude to him when he said i was his husband. Definitely not someone I want around my dog ever again. read more

If you have appointment and the groomer is running behind don't count on your dog getting groomed. I was told they would call me the following week to get my dog back in. But never got a call back and the lame excuse they gave me for not grooming my dog in the first place was only because she was running behind and didn't want to have to stay late and groom my dog. Also after I got my dog home he wasn't his happy go lucky self. He was somber and depressed. He was only there an hour and have no idea what happen in that time. So needless to say I will not be bringing my dog back here! read more

These people are super nice, and the owner clearly loves the dogs. Her other woman however, I'm not sure. She is usually in charge of the daycare from what I can tell, and she doesn't do much but sit around and never interacts with the dogs unless she is punishing them. The spray bottle is used much more liberally than I am comfortable with, and I am usually a propionate of the spritzer. The dogs are kept in one half of the facility at a time, which doesn't allow for much movement at all. They are not played with, every time I've seen this woman she's been on her cell phone ignoring the animals until they start getting rowdy, then she yells at them to scare them apart, or sprays them if they bark. No grass for them to be on, just concrete with some plastic grass to pee on. Facilities are clean as far as I can tell, it's obviously a business that cares, but the staff daycare woman disappoints me. Rude on the phone, and neglectful of the pets. Please pay more attention to the dogs, they are obviously very bored in that little chain link single car garage sized box. read more

Would be five stars except they are within the Bellingham City limits which prevents them from boarding dogs. Good news is that they are conveniently located across Meador street from Bellingham Fitness (not far from Trader Joe's). They are open 6am to 6pm M-F. Small dogs upstairs and large dogs downstairs plus an outside area. The owners actually operate the establishment and have adequate experience with different breeds without prejudice to specific breeds -- to provide excellent, well supervised day care! Furever Friends is a doggie day care service near the intersection of State St. and Ohio St. within the Bellingham city limits. Our dog and I really like it. It has two indoor rooms, one for large and one for smaller dogs, plus a large covered outdoor facility with a washable surface (no dirt). It's run by two ladies who are very experienced, competent and professional. Unlike some of the other places around town, this place seems to like large active dogs. They also have long hours (6:30 AM to 6:30 PM M-F, and they are sometimes open on Saturday). Furever Friends is very clean and very well run. The owners actually watch the dogs during the day, unlike most of these places where the owners sit in an office or even in another building altogether and let very young and inexperienced people do the dirty work. In addition to being one of the best doggie day care facilities we've tried, they are also the least expensive. If you buy a package, you can get day care for as little as $17/day. I highly recommend this place. read more
