It was critical to find a kennel that was a good fit for him. We had been using another boarding facility for the past ten years and had been pretty happy with them for most of that time. Due to a detour, I happened to drive by FurrWoods and saw their sign. So, we scheduled a time to take a tour. Oscar was reactive to the owner and staff and was barking and lunging at them. They knew exactly how to greet him and put him at ease. Within minutes, he was comfortable and leaning in for ear scratches. We took Oscar out to the play yards and put him in one by himself. He immediately went to the fence and happily greeted the other pups in the adjacent yard. The play yards here are repurposed astroturf from a football field, and the surface is immaculate. The previous boarding facility has gravel yards and our previous dog would sometimes eat rocks there or be dirty from digging. There are 3 or 4 different yards so they can group dogs by size or demeanor or age to ensure everyone has a positive playtime. The kennels are also very clean! There are only 28 kennels so it is much more peaceful than at a larger facility. They provide trampoline beds and even have slow feeders if you need them, which Oscar does. They have an online reservation system which helps me keep track of my bookings. You can also sign your dog up for an activity such as individual fetch time or a walk in the woods. We have boarded Oscar at FurrWoods several times over the past few months - sometimes just overnight and for as long as two weeks. He LOVES it there!! When we arrive, he pulls me to the door and wants to go straight out to play! This speaks volumes, as Oscar normally has separation anxiety!! When I pick him up, he is clean, happy, and exhausted. In fact, he was especially cranky today and had to wear a muzzle. But Dr. Johner handled the situation with incredible professionalism and calm. He gave Axel the space he needed, observed him from a safe distance, and calmly explained everything to us without escalating the tension. It worked! Axel settled down, and we got the answers we needed. Dr. Johner gave us a clear plan of action for some new concerns and took the time to explain everything thoroughly and patiently. Missy at the front desk is simply amazing, friendly, organized, and once she knows you, she'll probably recognize your voice when you call. It's those personal touches that really make this practice stand out. The vet techs are also wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable, and clearly care about the animals they work with. We feel lucky to have such a skilled and kind veterinary team so close to home. Highly recommend NW Vet to anyone looking for excellent, compassionate care for their pets.

He gets on the floor with her and talks to her and calls her down before doing his exam. It is amazing to watch every everytime. There is nothing at all I can say bad about this vet office and clinic. The staff is always helpful and on the ball. Dr. Johner is direct and to the point - which some people in this day and age cannot handle. But I like my professionals to be honest and thoughtful. I need to know what to do to handle my dog's issues with not euphemisms.

My staffordshire terrier is on the high energy end, so she needs to be paired with larger dogs and/or equivalently crazy dogs :). They do slow introductions to all the dogs and see how they pair well. There are a ton of separated areas for different groups to play. The Facebook photos are awesome to see how much fun they are having during the day. It's the best 100$ or so per month I spend regularly. Keeps my dog tired, socialized, and exercised.

When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and Thunder was very calm. I was assured that he would blend into his size group, I was asked for any allergies and alot of caring questions. My dog has gastro problems and very sensitive to chicken so had to ensure it was communicated. Thunder was handed over and he stayed so calm, good sign and gave me assurance he would be fine. Picked him up after a few days and he was really good and happy, didnt show signs of any stress even after arriving home. Whew! Second stay 3 weeks later and same result. Awesome experience, Thunder was happy and no stress. Thank you to Stephanie and Linda for your care. You had many reservations, but still allowed Thunder to come. I highly recommend Delta Kennels, even if it may be out of the way, to know your dog will be well taken care of, it's worth it. Great facilities and people that genuinely care.

She's so soft and smells amazing, and Kati did a beautiful job trimming and shaping her hair so that she kept her natural look, just more manageable and tidy. Our pup is often anxious when going to a new place, so we didn't want to torture him. The owner and staff at Freddie's made him feel right at home, and in no time, it was his favourite place to be! He's excited for his daycare days where he gets to play with his friends, both four-legged and two-legged, that we now schedule him regularly and plan to keep him going beyond the trip. I picked up my dog after a week and she seemed depressed. She wasn't her normal bouncy self in the car ride home. When we got home she was shivering and went straight to her bed and never moved. This was not normal. During the course of the day we realized that her vocal cords were strained. She could barely make a sound. I do not feel that they paid any attention to her at all and if they did it was negative. I will never board my dog here again.
