I had walked by DA Frank many times but never popped in and I'm so happy I finally did. While I don't think I got the whole experience with the place currently take-out only, the short time I was there was delightful. The cashier/waitress was lovely and in the span of about fifteen minutes I heard her chat it up seamlessly in English, French and Italian with patrons in person and on-the-phone. It was easy to tell that this is an important neighbourhood place where people come for more than the food. Speaking to the food, my club sandwich was perfect. I had the option of dark and/or white meat and the whole thing was assembled in its classic brilliance, with the mayo on the side, of course. The french fries were of the soggier variety (think traditional Queb poutine fries) and were excessive, naturally. It seems like a lot of the people coming by were regulars and were ordering the special of the day, which I assume was equally generous and delicious. My one small gripe with the place is that although they were very COVID-compliant and clean, they're still cash-only. Like, I get it, but it's 2020: it may be time to upgrade to a debit machine, in my humble opinion.

The menu offers good varieties of pizza of four sizes and great choices of mushroom soups. I'm a fan of the bacon pizza of course, second in my list is the eggplant one. The dough is yummy, they use electrical oven and pizza comes out quickly. In normal days they would have a delivery. Now we try to buy from this little pizza joint once a week as to support them and when the life is back to normal I'm sure I will continue to be a regular customer.
