Fun filled day at Funfields.
I can't speak highly enough about this park. The tickets for a day pass are currently $50 for people 130cm+ in height. But once you give the park a go, you can upgrade your day pass to a season pass (we did that). The day pass includes access to all attractions & rides.
There are water rides (slides) and dry attractions (mini golf, go-kart etc). There are some rides with height &/or weight limits for safety, but for larger or smaller people who may not be able to jump in on some of the rides, all is not lost. There's a family area with a couple of water playgrounds with slides so the smaller customers can enjoy. There are rides like the toboggan where your weight and size don't really matter as long as you can get the belt/safety harness on.
Staff are amazing. We have an autistic boy in our family and they have red wrist bands for customers who may have extra needs. Having this wrist band doesn't cost extra and staff take extra care of our son. Just let the staff at the ticketing office know.
I highly recommend season passes, especially for families. Just set aside a little bit of money each week or set any loose change aside
Come the start of the next season, the money you may have saved during the year may be enough to cover or pay for some of your family's season passes. We will definitely be setting our loose change aside so we can put this money towards season passes for the 21/22 season.
Tips:
* If you hate lines, don't go to the park in time for opening. Go at around noon, when the lines are either non existent or very small
* if the park is full, spend the extra for a slingshot pass -this gives you a separate line from the masses for 6 rides
* get yourself a waterproof case from eBay/Amazon. You can get some great under water shots at the volcano waves pool
* get a season pass if you know you would like to visit more than once - passes also give you discounts & other perks on some things in the park e.g food, VIP huts etc
* this is a full day experience, be prepared with sunscreen, packed lunch and water
* you can come have a fun time with your mates, you don't need kids to join your group & enter the park
* if you are a spectators, go with a change of clothes. You pay the same amount for your ticket as a regular customer and it's hard to not want to jump in on the rides or relax in the volcano waves pool.
* YOUR CHILD, YOUR FOCUS, not only does this apply at the local pools & beaches, it also applies at this place...
