Doctors never reached out or knew my name after months, appointment were months behind and/or the day of your appointment the infusion rooms would be two to three hours behind. I chose to leave and find a new treatment center. I was blessed to find Dr. Xavier at Scripps in San Diego who was referred by a friend. She reached out within days, knew my history, was kind, compassionate, and willing to help. She is such a pleasure to meet with and always thorough in explaining what is happening; providing detail in terms we can understand. She responds to my emails the same day! She doesn't have her support staff reach out unless it's a basic question, like med refill. A cancer journey is horrid, and it takes an amazing doctor to make it a pleasant in knowing that your doctor is doing all she can to help and at the same time allowing you to have a voice in the decision process. Scripps Cancer Center overall is the best, but having a great doctor is the added bonus. Thank you!!!`

I Come to the…read moreinfusion center every six months and It's never easy, no matter how routine might seem on the outside, it's still a deeply emotional experience for me, but every time I walk through those doors of the Douglas and Nancy Barnhart Center im reminded that I'm not going through this alone. There are other patients here battling illnesses from all ranges, but the entire team here makes it easier to handle. From the moment I check in Gisela at the front desk greets me with such genuine, warm and care. She remembers me and always takes the time to ask how im doing and makes my experience better. It means more than words can say. Today my infusion nurse Maribel took incredible care of me. Her compassion and kindness were so calming, especially when my nerves were getting the better of me. All the infusion nurses here that help me have been amazing. They always explain the regimen and keep me comfortable the entire time. These nurses are truly present with you and that makes such a difference. They offer me water, tea, snacks and an eye mask to help me sleep throughout my treatment. Thank you! Keep up the phenomenal work. This team is Definitely a one of a kind Sharp Experience!!!!

I completed my radiation treatments about 2 months ago at this facility. This was the best overall…read moregroup of employees that I've ever seen in any business. Everyone always had a smile on their face. From the nurses and Dr. Rahn, to the radiation techs, who had to put up with my stories, to the ladies up front. These ladies along with the office manager, went so far past above and beyond, they helped me so much. They would take it upon themselves to handle the dentist problem I was having. The manager wrote a professional letter that I would give to the border guards every day when I crossed. This may sound crazy, but I looked forward to going every day, even though I was going for radiation treatments. I sincerely want to thank everybody for making a crappy situation, extremely bearable. He's very knowledge and compassionate. Our first time with my newborn he answered all our questions and didn't force any vaccines on him. Our second visit was when my baby had a pulled elbow and couldn't move his arm so we rushed to him and even though he was closing and in a hurry to a meeting he agreed to see us anyway. In less than 5 minutes my baby was laughing and moving his arm again. He has so much experience and is always keeping up-to-date. I also never have to worry about him ripping us off like other pediatricians or giving us unnecessary medicine. His office is always full though because he does walk in's during the day so I would definitely make an appointment if it's not urgent. I'm so thankful for all his done for my son.
