My most recent purchase, a black Stefen Wool Beret, ran into a frustrating shipping delay with USPS. What impressed me most, however, was the exceptional customer service from Mary and Sierra. They stayed in communication with me throughout the delay, provided timely updates, and--miraculously--seemed to get the shipment moving again. Their responsiveness and genuine concern made all the difference. In this day and age, it's rare to find a company that not only offers great products but also clearly cares about its customers. He looked around, and asked me to call back so he could call his manager, finally found costume and then asked me if I want to reserve it. I had reserved it at least six weeks prior. Then he asked me if I had paid for it yes. He told me to bring in receipt. It was filthy!! Chunks of ??? hair, leaves. I took photos there before I left the shop. I told him this was unacceptable. He agreed and apologized. Said manager would be there when I brought it back and I could talk to her then. I took it home vacuumed the chunks, used a Lint roller to pick up bits the vacuum could not pick up. Sewed part of the hat back on to the head where threads had broken causing the hat to tilt at an odd angle partly covering the eyes. I brought it back with photographs to show manager how nasty it was. She was not there. On duty clerk lied to me about who the manager was. (Gee, I wonder why she does not want her name given out.) He called her and he said she said there was nothing to do about it because we had accepted it in that condition. I was scheduled for an event the next morning with a number of children for photos. What could I have done? A promise is a promise. I guess the owners/manager don't consider a mascot costume rental agreement a promise. Do NOT trust this place/these people.

There were some seriously good costumes! It was really crowded, and there were definitely some screaming kids who were scared, which honestly just made the whole experience even more entertaining. They advertised having food trucks, but I honestly didn't see any. There was one possible food truck right at the entrance, but I wouldn't go expecting a whole variety of food trucks to choose from. I decided to walk around a bit, maybe they had something hidden. Not really, just some tacky Halloween costumes and overpriced junk jewelry. However, what really turned me off was this. I went over to a cabinet and saw a flask with a confederate flag on it.. I kind of just rolled my eyes thinking that this is the south compared to where I'm from. However, on the shelf below it there was Nazi paraphernalia being sold. One of the tags literally said "Nazi $120.00". Swastikas and all. Now, this may be legal (no idea on the US laws about that), however it is very distasteful I don't appreciate that at all. If the owner bought it from somewhere, WHY. I get that's it's historical but it's very offensive to me personally. I kept thinking of the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where the museum curator tries to call the cops on Charlie for trying to sell old Nazi uniforms. Am I missing something? Hearing of this special Halloween section me and my wife headed out to check out the shop. Wife and I are helping our daughter's eighth Grade class plan a haunted playground and we needed supplies and decorations for the haunted playground. The set ups and decorations they have here we're all very cool and different from other Louisville aria and Indiana area Halloween specialty shops. They had a very nice and large mask area that was really cool and has very unique and different Halloween mask for costumes. The store is medium size very well kept. The service on this trip was well they helped us find what we needed. Also I left with about 12 cans of silly string some carnival related decoration such as clown horns and other carnival props. Overall this is a really cool place and a fun place to browse and check out all the cool Halloween decorations, costumes, masks and supplies. Me and my family will likely make the short trip from Louisville to Jeffersonville Indiana for the future years to check out this place during Halloween season.
