My son really enjoyed his experience before, playing in the waiting area. During, playing with a box of cars and airplanes. And after looking at himself. My son is two. And it was his first hair cut ever! Tete gave a a lock of his hair and a little pamphlet of when, where, his first hair cut was!! (Not pictured) The reason I gave 4 in stead of 5 stars: The address wasn't updated on other websites. Our appointment was at 10am (right when they open) and I was getting really worried he wasn't going to be able to get his hair cut because I was 19 min early looking for the salon at the wrong location. Finally after 10 Tete answered and provided me with the updated address. Also my sons hair is really choppy and uneven. (Expected for a first haircut for a TWO YEAR OLD) I'm not mad about it at all. Tracy does so great with children. She is kind and shows lots of patience. I watched her interact with 3 different kids while I was there. She did the almost amazing job on my nephews hair. She sat down and talked to me about what we wanted to do and told me what she could actually do with his hair. She delivered. My sister and mother are beyond impressed with how great his hair looks. He also loves his haircut. He will only be seeing Tracy going forward. There is tons of parking upfront and you can take your kids to chuckie cheese after too. Also to the reviews that complain that they weren't open when you drove a distance. You should always call and make appts. Why would you drive somewhere that's far for you when they haven't answered the phone after calling multiple times? I called the day before and scheduled an appt for today 12/1/19 @ 1030, drove from lake Stevens and i was so disappointed cause she never showed up to open the store i waited till like 11ish, and another mom and her kid had an 11am appt and they were so disappointed as well we both wanted to get our kids haircut before they see santa. We asked the store lady next to fun kuts she said she is usually here early like at 9am, but today was not a satisfying day and not professional at all especially running your own business! This was my first time back to this salon in three years. Both experiences were awesome. We just frankly switched to a budget place for my girls when they got older. The salon use to be over by H Mart. Now, it is by Chuck E Cheese. This was my 2 yr. old son's first time to this salon. He had received a terrible haircut from another area children's salon, and we needed someone to fix it. Titi did a fantastic job! She interacted with my son the whole time, made him feel very calm and gave him a great cut! It should also be noted that my son has always been afraid of clippers. Tl;dr - Good haircuts, poor service. We made appointments for haircuts for two kids at 10am. The place was closed when we arrived for the haircuts, and the stylist didn't arrive until 10:05 to open the door. Since there was only the one stylist, the two kids cuts were done back to back instead of at the same time, which was a surprise since they accepted appointments for two kids at 10:00 as opposed to one at 10:00 and another later. Due to that, we were there a lot longer the expected and had to entertain each child while the other was getting a haircut. The haircuts themselves were good. Our daughter was excited about how hers looked, getting a braid, and some glitter (she's young) sprinkled on. So no complaints there. I was just really disappointed in the process. read more

I have to believe my toddler was the worst client this place has seen. He screamed and cried the ENTIRE time he was getting his haircut. TiTi was super patient and worked with him even while he was writhing around. How she managed to cut his hair evenly and nice is a miracle. I hate to leave a negative review for anyone, but after my experience, I felt compelled to. I was excited to get my three year old his first real haircut. I got him all jazzed up for it while looking at the website for Fun Kuts. I called three times on an early Friday afternoon (right around noon) and got no answer. Since the website says "Walk-ins welcome" I decided to just drive over there. The 'Open' sign was on, all the lights were on, but the door was locked and I could see there was no one inside. It was just before 1:00pm. I thought maybe someone was just gone on lunch, and decided to stick around to wait. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes, and no one ever showed up. I called again- twice- and still no answer. I've since spoken to two other women who have had similar experiences with this place. What a waste of my time, and so unprofessional. read more

Titi has been cutting my son's hair for on and off for six years. Every single time I go somwhere else (usually because we're out of town, or there's some other last minute event) I regret it. This is the only salon where my very sensitive, wiggly kid not only tolerates getting his hair cut, he has a good time. Titi is like the "kid whisperer." She is a miracle worker, and also an excellent hair stylist. Other stylists he's seen there have also been great. I can't believe someone who showed up at lunch time without an appointment gave a bad review! That's so unfair... Hopefully this will counteract that a bit! Hands down I loved that I took my son here for his first hair cut. First they make a big deal with a card and a tiny baggie for clipping of hair. I went there coz I saw such great reviews about Titi and the reviews are all true... she is absolutely amazing, even with my toddler crying/screaming the entire time. Titi was calm the whole time and absolutely saw no reason to stop the haircut. She did her job absolutely efficiently. I was amazed to the end results were so wonderful, great and even haircut as I wanted with all with kid moving and screaming. Absolutely kudos to TiTi and her awesome work. I called today and got an appointment with Susan, my son is 21 months and usually we have his aunt do his hair but he cries and cries so we decided to try this place out, Susan definitely knows what she's doing! There is lots of toys to play with while getting his hair cut and kid shows playing on the tv, my son didn't cry once! I took my 1yr old son there today for his first professional haircut. I called for an appointment yesterday. TeTe was the lady that cut my son's hair and she was great! She had buckets full of toys for him to play with while she worked on him. She was very easy to talk to and she cut his hair exactly how I wanted it. She allowed me to take pictures of him and even helped him smile in the photos. After she was finished, she gave him a "1st Haircut Card" (along with some of his hair). Stylist was not the most enthusiastic. I couldn't go sit with my son while getting a haircut. According to the sign posted, kids were better if they had a one on one with the stylist. In the same breath, the stylist kept asking me how I wanted my sons hair from where she and my son were, to where I was. I don't know how it would have been if the salon was busy. I wouldn't like talking to people across the room. Didn't make sense to me to sit outside cutting area if she needed to talk to me. Wouldn't go back. Paid $25 + $5 tip. Not worth it. Plus, if you go at night, it's dark outside. read more

I have brought my son here twice so far, and both times have been wonderful experiences. He isn't the best sitter all the time, but the stylists are just wonderful with him, and are so sweet and understanding. You can tell they really care about what they are doing here. For his first hair cut, they gave him a little report card at the end with A+ on it, we really appreciated that too. There's also an abundance of toys and videos for the kids to watch! The owner Tete is great with kids! My son had a sensory issue when he was younger and used to be afraid of hairdryer noise, as well as getting his hair wet, but Tete gradually warmed him up and helped him overcome his fears. He also has a counter-clockwise whorl, which makes it more difficult to manage his hair unless he has the right haircut, but Tete knew exactly what to do from the very first visit. Sure, it may cost a little more than a barber where my husband goes to, but it's definitely worth the money. read more

Well we arrived for our 2:00pm appointment, we got there at 1:51. There was nobody there but herself. We weren't expecting to be seen earlier, just because we arrived early. The problem was her demeanor. She hadn't greeted us, not even a smile. I was kinda hesitate too, to bring my kids in, she sounded a little off over the phone as well. But I decided not to let it bother me, and go ahead with the appointment. Well as we got there, we had no greeting. I sat there for a good 4 mins in silence. So I decided to say hello.she didn't even want to reply hello, she looked at me, then looked at the clock and She replied, " I'll be with you in a few minutes." She couldn't even kindly say hello. It was so obvious she didn't want to cut my kids hair...her attitude was not comfortable for us to go ahead with the cuts. And yes I have my big girl pants on!! Lol I really hate leaving bad reviews! This is the best place for kids hair cuts!! The owner is so nice and friendly, and when my kiddo was freaking out and crying his first time, she still managed to cut his hair SO WELL and with no nicks or scratches! This time he did much better with no crying, and I think it was all because of TiTi. She's so good with kids (even upset ones), the place is clean with LOTS of fun toys, and the haircuts always turn out amazing. We'll be coming here for a long time! read more

Got my daughter's hair cut by Susan. We waited a while as she had another client which was understandable. Seemed like a good sign she might take time with my 3 year old daughter's hair. She didn't. End result was a rushed sloppy haircut. My husband also thought it was a terrible cut. Won't be returning. read more

My son got his hair cut here for the first time and turned out great. When it came time for his second cut the sides were left long and made him look like he had bob cut. The same afternoon he had it cut someone mistook him for a girl. I called into the shop to see if Titi would just trim the sides up a bit so it didn't look so feminine. Titi said she would do it the following day at 11 if that time worked for us. We showed up and the store was closed. I was so confused because she just made the appointment with me the evening before so I called and left a message on the voicemail letting her know very politely who I was and that there seems to have been a mistake. She NEVER even returned my call after she knew I showed up there and waited for her. After the call was never returned I came to the conclusion that she had me show up there when they were closed on purpose. Very disappointing to come across a business like this with such little concern for customer relations. read more
