I am a current customer of Fullerton in year 3 of my "relationship (if you want to call it that). When I started I worked with an advisor who put me into a 10 year annuity (at age 60). Not knowing the right questions to ask I want to retire at 67 (in 6 years not 10 years). Too late and after the fact. Then when I get my next phone check in 3 months later I am not told that my advisor is no longer there and am meeting with someone else ( I think they told me that when they scheduled the appt over the phone). I met with this new advisor and did a pretty good job of getting to know me and my financial goals. Met with him for 2-3 times during the year. Then it came time for my 3rd in person meeting and yet had another new advisor (and was NOT told when the appointment was made). The appointment was awkward, only cared about how much my assets have increased and did not talk about any of the topics I wanted to discuss when they called to schedule the in-person appointment. Then she said at one point "oh we have 10 minutes left". WOW I did not know I was meeting with an attorney, and I was on a clock??? That was in December 2024, and I have not heard a peep from them since then. In three years I don't feel like I have any type of relationship with them or feel like they care. Great financial planning but they set an appointment for you but they have you sit in the lobby or planning room like a doctors office and wait until there represent finally decides to show up. They set the appointment you would think they would be ready when you show up. read more

Our initial meeting with Stephanie was amazing, she said everything we were looking for in a new Financial advisor. After that meeting the wheels were slowing falling off the bus. I never knew who our financial advisor was after that, as we met with numerous people. Some OK some NOT! They sent us a survey about their performance which I was very honest about thinking we could turn things around, they never asked about our survey answers, When I mentioned the survey to them they said they were looking at them would get back to us. That never happened. End result, we left Fullerton Financial and have transferred assets from them and not once have they called asking if we were moving or anything. I'm leaving Fullerton Financial after 7 and a half years. Dismal account performance. Great service and efficiency when they are selling a product and you are buying. Not so much when you're not. Many instances of "falling through the cracks." I always laugh when they're on TV saying they are not tax advisors but in the same breath offer tax strategies. I suggest people look out for those IUL's....mine has exhorbitant fees. I've heard they pay very high commissions though. read more

This firm is first and foremost an annuity sales company. My wife, a certified public accountant, and I (with a Master's degree in finance) first met with Stephanie's husband who told us they'd not recommend a product if it wasn't in our best interest. I thought, "Great!" Then we met with Stephanie, who suggested my wife could surrender her existing pension to buy an annuity. To buy the annuity it would cost my wife a significant amount upfront to get the annuity to pay the same amount as the pension. I don't know anyone who would do that: pay a huge upfront cost to get the same payment that we already are receiving from the pension. Just keep the pension and avoid the annuity's upfront cost. Switching certainly didn't feel like it was "in our best interest." This told me she is not acting as a fiduciary, someone who is legally obligated to represent my interests first, before hers. Here is the kicker. I said, "The NPV of this annuity is well below the NPV of the pension payments." NPV stands for the Net Present Value, the current value of the stream of future monthly income payments. I was saying, "Why would I accept a lower, total amount of money to switch from the pension to the annuity you're suggesting?" Stephanie looked at me with a blank look. She had no idea what NPV stood for. That's OK for clients to not know, but not someone who professes to be a financial professional. I was shocked. I realized then that she was not really someone whom I would rely on for financial advice, except to sell me an annuity. My surprise may have shown on my face; I changed the subject in case she might be embarrassed. We left the meeting and we never heard from them again; they must have known we'd not be working with them. read more

Really nice greeting staff. Very polite. Had a retirement account with them and all they did was charge me fees while losing money. Called my investment house and had them removed. Had an annuity with them and had a meeting about reallocation of funds. Handed the rep a sheet requesting some reallocations, then received a statement from the annuity company that did not reflect my requests. Surprise! No heads up...just a surprise. Asked for a meeting with the owner Stephanie. Her husband informed me he canceled the meeting with Stephanie and he would meet with me instead. Just left the meeting and he basically said they did nothing wrong. I think if the requested allocations are to change, should not the owner be informed and informed why the request could not be honored? If you like surprises and confusion, this is the place for you. Called my annuity and had Fullerton Financial removed from my annuity. Very disappointed in their performance and attitude towards their clients. No accountability. read more

Hold onto your WALLET There is no such thing as a free lunch We got sucked into Fullerton like a giant Hoover Vacaum. We went for their free presentaion for a dinner. We felt they were honset and sincere. Anything but. Once they get you to transfer your money changing your mind is a expereince I wouldn't wish on anyone. They use Fidelity however, Fidelity has little of a relationship with Fullerton. Fidelity will be reimburssing for the charges levied by Fullerton. There is no free luch. I lost over $700.00 in a few short weeks. There friendlyness before getting your money is fine. Once you consimate a transaction is when the horror begins. There company representative Andrew AKA Drew even got short with me before signing over any money. I saw the light. When you call to cancel you are treated as though you are a thief. I deal with Fidelity, or a investment company not looking to make a killing on the first person that walks through there door. I actually could have went to the best steak house and saved money. My father purchased a 100,000 annuity after a free lunch. He Attempted to cash it in after two years and was told the surrender value would be huge. When he died 4 years after policy was in force there was no capital appreciation or dividends received on the annuity. I am a CPA and could not understand terms of annuity. Very, very disappointed. Last time I showed for a meeting the advisor I started with didn't see me. I have no idea if he is gone or what. Was not told anything just another advisor showed for the meeting. The new advisor reminded me of a timid, wounded puppy. If I'd stayed away from Fullerton I'd have been so very much ahead and instead have lost thousands and thousands over a year's time. In fact, I lost thousands the first three weeks waiting for transfers. I guess I'm paying for the big beautiful building on the Lake and all the advertisement because I've sure lost thousands in a market that has been excellent. I trusted them to be on my side but no. Do yourself a favor and find a Certified Financial Planner! I had my meeting and cookies, declined the roses. She was not willing to work with me until I retired. Well, my goal was planning for retirement and I had over 500,000 in retirement accounts. Guess you need to be in another tax bracket. Now off to find a certified financial planner who will help me put a plan in place so I can feel comfortable with my exit strategy. Oh, did I tell you her estimate of my projected monthly income was off by over 6000, indicated I had annuities from someplace I did not.
