Then again in Feb '15 I had a crowned molar tooth break off (wouldn't you know it was just when I was flossing)! Thank goodness the nerve had been removed with a root canal years ago -- so there was no pain. The office got me in the next day and Dr Greg was able to put in a post and build it up so he can put in a new crown. I am so thankful! I strongly recommend this practice. They are a small family firm, but seem to do a lot of business. I'm a happy camper!

My bottom teeth were so bad, I lost the ability to chew meat and other nutrients. Dr. V, in an 8-hour surgery, removed all of my teeth and replaced them with implants. I had surgery planned with this office that included extractions and implants that were over $11,000 with my insurance. I went to get a 2nd opinion and found a better option that worked better for me at less money. When I told the office that I was going a different route, the office told me that Dr. Pham would no longer see me as a patient due to going to another practice. I was told that Dr. Pham does not work on patients that have gone to other oral surgeons. Interesting... That is fine. I won't ever have to deal with the horribly obnoxious and condescending woman at the front desk. She was the main reason why my wife and I looked into surgeon. She spoke to me like a 4-year-old telling me to "get your temporary denture in your little hands before you call me and waste our time". I had a large infection in these teeth, and she told me that Dr. Pham "won't be prescribing me anymore antibiotics until I got those temp teeth in your little hands". She's horrible! She also did some questionable things regarding my dental insurance that could have resulted in insurance fraud. I cannot recommend this practice. Aside from Dr. Pham throwing a childish fit over me going to another surgeon, the front office is the main reason I went looking for another surgeon. Thanks for unprofessional and inappropriate towards me. My money went to a very good practice that doesn't treat their patients like children. Dr. Gary Ashton, Denise, and Nick turned out to be outstanding professionally and personally. Dr. Ashton is by far the best dentist I've seen in over 30 years…read more First of all, Dr. Ashton is highly intelligent and was able to sort through my case expertly and quickly, with insights that made sense to me--alas! I went to Dr. Ashton as a 4th opinion for a tooth that had been mistreated by a few previous dentists, leaving me suffering with severe tooth pain for a few years, with a high risk of a root canal. Dr. Ashton used his 3D x-rays to show me exactly why that tooth was so vulnerable. He handled the tooth very conservatively, causing no pain, and also addressed every aspect of what I could do to minimize future dental issues. It's clear that Dr. Ashton keeps current on dental advances, from his 3D x-ray machine (I've only seen at universities like UCLA TMD department), to topical solutions for dry mouth. Why didn't any of the other many dentists or speech and language pathologists I've seen notice my severe dry mouth, which has contributed to my long-term tooth sensitivity, possibly my receded gums and swallowing difficulties too? (Dr. Ashton didn't make those claims but they seem to apply to me based on the improvement I feel already and some studies I've read since his opened my eyes too this issue.) I bet the severe dryness is part of why, if only one person at a dinner table has food stuck to their teeth, it's me. There is so much else that I can say in praise of Dr. Ashton. He is extremely caring and thorough, leaving no stone unturned in addressing my complex case. I don't think Dr. Ashton needs another raving review, but I felt compelled to share my experience.
