I ended up with a whole new outfit for the Wearable Art Awards and felt pretty good about how I looked. The clothes are all second hand but high quality, mostly NZ labels. The sales lady went out of her way to pick things that she thought looked good and steer me away from any unflattering choices. I'm tempted to go back today for another fix. That WAS fun!

With so many stars and good reviews, it was worth a shot. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by Sarah who took me on a tour of the jeans section. Didn't think it was possible but I was instantly drawn to these comfy, well worn boyfriend jeans-holes not included. For $25, it was a steal! I'll admit, I wanted to browse the rest of the store, and could, for hours. Full of unique finds and bargains, I'm impressed that they're able to stay fully stocked!

I found only one CD I liked, the sales guy said it was $3 for one and $4 for two, you should find another and get the savings. He showed me another box to look through, we found something. When we went to the counter to pay he said, oh! I'm sorry this CD comes with Two (2) CD's! That raised it to $6. We said no thanks, we'll just take the one we want for $3. He asked "Are you sure?!" Ya-nah! :( I really felt like their sign was misleading.

This is such a fun visit in downtown Wellington! Not only is it a beautifully restored historical…read morebldg, but aside from the shopping and eating options, there are hidden little gems to discover! There is a little bit of a museum display of the old ship that was unburied on the grounds here with some really cool artifacts and parts of the ship itself! But, the thing to see here is the animated, singing clock that "performs" once an hour about 2-3mins before the hour. The best view is from the second floor. The little clock show, with fully animated dioramas telling the history of NZ & Wellington within the clock with accompanying music and narration is a sight to behold and is worth a visit to see in and of itself!
