I ended up with a whole new outfit for the Wearable Art Awards and felt pretty good about how I looked. The clothes are all second hand but high quality, mostly NZ labels. The sales lady went out of her way to pick things that she thought looked good and steer me away from any unflattering choices. I'm tempted to go back today for another fix. That WAS fun!

My sister-in-law bought an Agility Carrier from here recently and it was super comfortable and convenient - no clips or buckles, doesn't require wrapping and the soft stretchy fabric, with its breathable back panel means baby's weight is evenly distributed. The Agility Carrier is machine washable too! I love anything that's NZ owned and operated but add topnotch customer service and a great range of innovative products to the equation, and I become an even bigger fan!

OMG, do men know how to shop or what!?…read more Talk about living it up; the fitting rooms look like something out of Vogue magazine! The leather armchairs are so damn comfortable, it would make even the most impatient of shopping companions, shut-up and wait, while you try on as many out-fits as you like! Gees, they even have a mini fridge from which you can have a complimentary glass of wine or beer while you wait! I sat in awe and watched my brother try on a beautifully cut navy business suit. Not quite the Savile Row suit, I spent an arm and a leg on but a dashing look, nevertheless! He also tried on a really nice pair of black shoes to complete the look. He had his big sister's two cents worth and the female shop assistant at his beck-and-call to make sure the length of the trousers and sleeves were just right. Barkers use their own tailors to do the alterations. I offered to buy my brother a scarf (like Henry Morgan's!!) to complete the look but he said, he'd rather have the $40 close shave that comes with a complementary glass of whisky in the Barkers Groom Room! Love the Barkers Chambers, the old world feel of the place and the bespoke look!
