This bright, attractively laid-out store is pretty large, with an excellent selection of mostly imported books - anything and everything ranging from popular fiction to cookery, self-help, arts and crafts and cookery books. There are often specials on (a rarity in NZ!) so if you're lucky you might get a bit of a bargain, although books tend to be very pricey in NZ in general. The staff tend to be helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to their products. There's also a large range of stationary and magazines and they'll do their best to order in a book or publication for you if it's not in stock. There's also a customer loyalty card to entice you back into the store. Big thumbs up!

This is a pretty good Warehouse - large, spacious, with a big range of constantly updated products and a large gardening section, as well as lots of free parking outside. As for its products - well, take your chances! It's a parallel import heaven! They buy their stuff in bulk at discounted prices - and you never really know what you're going to find. One day you might come across an exercycle, the next some fishing tackle or cleaning detergent. It's truly random - and a lot of it isn't the best quality known to humanity - but at least you can get a refund if it breaks in the alloted timeframe! They also produce their own brand of clothing and sell loads of mainstream CDs and DVDs, games and toys at cheap prices. Their motto is where everyone gets a bargain - and even if you don't come out the door with what you bargained for, you can guarantee that you'll find something - even if it's random junk you never needed in the first place! Found this great bookshop under the public library in Palmerston North just west of the city…read moresquare. The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was told if they didn't have the book I wanted they would get it for me. But that wasn't a problem... they had a lot to choose from!
