For a Thai restaurant, Full Moon are very pricey. It's not the type of place you would go to for a quick and cheap meal. However, the food is good and the decor is exceptional. The Pad See Ew is especially good, rich flavours of soy and oyster sauce with vegetables and white pepper. You can choose what protein you want to go with it: Beef, chicken, roast duck, prawns, or seafood. I love just having the version with tofu. The entrees vary between $7.50 and $9.00 while the mains are anywhere between $16.50 and $25. Obviously the Chefs Specials are the most expensive but they are the tastiest. They do a great Massaman Lamb Shanks with mashed potatoes - a cross of cultures if ever I have seen one. Their signature dish is Prawns under a the Moon, a stir fry with lime leaves and peppercorns, with bgralic, seasonal vegeables and a sweet savoury oyster sauce. I often complain about restaurants serving standard food, well Full Moon doesn't fall into that category. This is one chef with imagination!

$ to $$ - I have traveled from CBD Sydney to eat here, its amazing…read more What can I say to someone who hasen't been here. The classic money bags are sweet and delicious. The Beef massaman is the best I have ever had. Pad Prik, Rice noodle, argh, nearly every dish is superb but it doesn't stop there. Such curteous, generous staff. They refill your water, always see when your done or if you need more rice (which you could help yourself but they will smile/take over if you do, which I find top quality service). The venue is so tranquil, with its beautiful canary yellow over shade and blossom tree's, no wonder its the locals favourite in Pennant Hills, because the manager there listens to feedback, and follow through. I just wish this place could win awards, because it really is an amazing place. It's been here longer than other thai places, and despite competition they are still there unlike most restaraunts in that area who come and go. Its cheaper, its more quantity for quality and the type of place where they always exceed your expectations, even when you keep coming back. Go there for a first date, a birthday (they dim the lights and stars appear on the roof, sing, just wow). Can't stop raving, just go and you'll see how good this place really is, Was the only place I ate at when I lived in the Hills, but will always visit and make the drive up.

We called on a Friday and the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered chicken satays for entree and…read morewhen they arrived at the table we didn't recognise that they were the same as we ordered. We thought maybe it was better than having the stick in the meat as is the usual case. Unfortunately the meat was dry with no satay taste. The other two dishes were only passable.
