More than a year ago, I was…read morerecommended this place, and despite the fact that it is located 30 minutes from Philadelphia, I used to come here every three weeks. If you live near Moorestown, you are very lucky, because I am trying to find a good specialist in Philadelphia, and have already spent more than $500 on four different specialists, but haven't found anyone better than in Tao. Attention (!) this is not a fancy spa and not a luxurious resort where you will be gently touched and you will enjoy a relaxing massage (maybe you can request a relaxing one). But if you are looking for a great deep tissue or Thai massage that the place to go! People come there with problems, with back and joint pains. And in Tao, they do their job perfectly well, just tell them what is bothering you, and they will help you. My pain didn't go away completely but I definitely feel better than two year ago. I'm not going to look for more good specialists in Center City, it's easier for me to spend an hour in the car driving, but I'll know for sure that I pay for an excellent deep tissue massage where I can get a excellent stretch and feel pain relief every time I step out. Can't wait to come back again.

She proceeded to take me to a frigid room, where she asked "what do you want." I told her I was four months postpartum and wanted a massage preferably laying on my side or back, to which she told me "I am not trained to do massages on the side or back" and stated she had the client face down the entire time. Having had massages done for over 20 years, I have never heard of a masseuse who is hired untrained to perform massages unless the client is solely on the back. Nor have I heard of a spa who books massages without specifying that the masseuse may be unable to do a massage at all if you are unable to lie on your stomach after you inform them you are postnatal from a c section. After I told her I guess I would cancel the massage because she kept shrugging stonefaced while telling me "I just can't do it," she promptly left the room and began gossiping with another masseuse down the hall. I literally had to call out after her "can you at least show me the way out?" given the lack of exit signs in Spavia's dark hallway. Caitlin rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked "you are not going to change into your clothes?" and I told her I needed the locker room. She wordlessly showed me the way before rolling her eyes again and stalking off. Please avoid booking with this woman Caitlyn and Spavia in general. Also, Caitlin came to collect me at 12:59pm (though I could hear her chatting with someone in the hallway well before then) so that my 1:00pm appointment time could start ticking away while she led me to the room, did intake, have me get ready, etc. No waiver or paperwork regarding massage goals was done at all, though it is unlikely she would have reviewed it anyway. I would also avoid this Spavia location for safety reasons.

She is super friendly, knowledgeable, and has great technique. Her office, located on the 2nd floor of a chiropractic office, is very comfortable and relaxing. I was dealing with a sore shoulder and arm and needed message therapy more than just a typical relaxing massage. Michelle performed a complete massage with a strong focus on the areas of concern. The pressure and technique were perfect. I left feeling incredible. Reasonable rates and she really works hard to accommodate your schedule.

The smaller room has a sink which is nice. Good Covid protocol, temp taken upon arrival, hand sanitizer available upon entry and exit. Was asked if I called and if I had an appointment. Thankfully I did, as a few were turned away. Massage table was comfortable and the massage was top notch. Extremely therapeutic and rejuvenating. I found Acupressure Therapy to be as professional and skilled as they are welcoming. She maintained the intensity for the full hour. I felt extremely relaxed, so much so that she had to help me sit up. After the massage and I was getting ready to leave, the other masseuse came in and introduced herself. I've always found that to a nice touch. My masseuse was a little taller than most so she was able to to lean into and leverage her strength for some deep pressure.

My tutor told me about Julia and recommended that I email her. I did just that and I am so happy that I went through with that decision. Julia was very sweet and very understanding. She was very accommodating toward my financial situations and tried her best to make our contact effective. She emailed me videos on stress relief meditations, as well as PowerPoints showing the science on the domains of reliance and test anxiety etc. I passed the Praxis shortly after starting to talk to Julia. She even checks in on me to see how I'm doing, which is really endearing to me. She's great to say the least. I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who is going through a stressful time or form of anxiety.
