My dog had some regression and needed a new session that was a part of the lifetime package and the new K-9 owners said for another fee she could fix it. We went along with it, bad decision.. This not only increased the regression but caused more fear and then we were told that they were no longer going to train. Thankfully Kristi and Wes stepped up and took Dexter under their wing! They came in when we had lost hope and helped us. While Dexter is a very difficult case, Kristi and Wes agreed thy wouldn't give up on him, even when he had to be rehomed to be in an only dog home. Driving to work one day, a stray dog ran in front of my car, little did I know that this would be the start of a new chapter of our lives. I pulled to the side of the road, called the dog to me, loaded him in my car and took him to our local shelter, promising to return if he was not claimed. Christmas Eve we adopted Max. Bringing him home proved to be challenging. Our Senior French bulldogs wanted nothing to do with Max and my husband and I, both disabled Seniors, knew nothing of the Malinois special needs. We needed help and were so overwhelmed that we reached out to Malinois Rescue, the Woof Project, thinking it might be best to place Max with a more knowledgeable, and younger family. Both the Woof project and our dentist and family friend Dr.Robert Karl Jr hiighly recommended Eric Reyes. Eric offered us a unique program of living with us and Max in our home for a week, which became an incredible and unforgettable week of learning and the foundation of a solid, positive relationship with Max. Eric excels at his craft, not just a dog trainer or handler, hes so intuitive, that he was able to understand that Max had received some rough treatment and that one needed to proceed gently but firmly. The week of training with Eric and Max was amazing. We learned a new language and how to apply this language in our day to day life with Max. Eric took us through daily life with Max, gently giving us the tools for both Max and us to have the needed language and skills to live a rewarding life together. From house breaking, grooming, diet, to loading in and out of the car safely, obedience training, walking safely on and off leash, all the tools to have a safe, successful and rewarding relationship. They are a wealth of knowledge and I successfully implemented many of their suggestions. For example, a "softer" approach to the prong collar I was using, and better timing with the remote collar. I now realize I talk too much to my dog and should use more indirect, non-verbal "pressure" to communicate commands to my dog. Jose and Monique of JD Powerhouse offer a 6-week DIY Saturday afternoon basic obedience class. I enrolled to "refresh" my ability to "communicate with" or effectively handle my dog. I have participated in various obedience classes with my dog over the years, so my dog was somewhat trained. She's a 4-year-old, American Pit Bull Terrier, with no major behavior issues. What I really appreciate in addition to their expertise, clear direction and upfront approach is that they didn't sell me on what I didn't need. José made it clear very quickly that it would not be the best use of money to board and train my dog, Piper. Instead, he offered me a customized package that would maximize the training and my money. That's badass. I have gone to other evaluations where trainers were trying to scare me into pick the most expensive package by over inflating the concerns I had. I took a 2-week vacation out of the U.S. 7/14-26 2024! Making clear plans for my female GSD of 9…read moremonths needing continuous energized play/training. I decided on patsk9.com as he was the closest to where I live. I dropped GSD off on Friday 7/12th returning Friday 7/26 2024. The lines of communications open throughout. The first two days I didn't hear anything from PAT as to training and how she was doing. 1st 2days PAT "stated she would run to her kennel and preferred to stay there". THAT DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME AT ALL . According to Pat this behavior continued and was disturbing to me. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE STATED HE WAS A PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINER BUT HE COULDN'T COMMUNICATE WITH MY FEMALE 9-MONTH-OLD GSD Before my return there was no training or videos completed. Pat suggested I leave her longer with him. I informed him on 7/30 Yalla is scheduled for surgery and then she will need 14 days or so to recuperate. 7/26 I decided to let Pat resume training as I had already paid for that service on July 12. Pat came to my home and picked Yalla up! NOTE! AS I WATCHED THE EXCHANGE BETWEEN YALLA AND PAT! SHE WAS BARKING PROFUSELY AND Acted AS IF SHE'S NEVER MET HIM BEFORE. I figured everybody deserves the benefit of the doubt 'AND I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR A SERVICE THAT I CLEARLY DIDN'T GET THE 2 WEEKS in JULY. I don't know why I thought this time would work when 2-weeks didn't. Pat had Yalla from 8-26-31st! The first 3-days I heard nothing from him. By WEDNESDAY mid-afternoon I communicated with PAT through text and he confirmed 'HE WOULD SEND ME TRAINING VIDEOS AND HE WOULD WORK TO GET HER '. This never happened and I had no faith in Pat at this point. I decided to pick Yalla up on Saturday 8/31 partially unannounced let's say 5:30 pm give or take. Note! I did attempt a phone call to let Pat know I was coming, he did not answer but returned my call while I was driving. What happened when I pulled up was a disaster on every unprofessional level. Pat brought my dog out she was all over the place she was out of control, (PANTING) deliriously. Right away I understood the problem. It was very clear she was kenneled for a long period of time without access to water. I noticed right away she started peeing and there was blood in her pee (next day vet appt showed to be UTI/Dehydration). I could not address this with Patsk9.com because he went full-blown COMMANDO/DEFENSIVE MODE right out of the gate! Accusing me of CHOKING MY DOG . It was really bad between him and his brother they were very disrespectful, yelling/cursing attacking me. WHAT I SAW WAS complete GUILT about something that I knew nothing about. Pat/his brother were belligerent with their words/actions towards me. I had to quickly get my camera and record all this unfortunate situation. It was bad . Once I was able to take control of the situation I got water for Yalla, I put shoes on her and moved forward. My dog was so thirsty it appeared as if she hadn't had water all day and If she was crated for a long period of time. YALLA was ravished for water as if it hadn't been given to her throughout the day freely. She was so anxious to have more scratching the bowl as if she hadn't had water all day. SHE HAD THREE DOGGY BOWLS FULL AND WE HAD TO STOP THERE BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT HER TO START VOMITING. I will never recommend Patsk9.com to anyone. I had to request videos of training which I did not get. Training my dog never happened. I provided special dog food for her stay, apparently he neglected to feed her the food. The bin that I provided was still full to the reem. Thank God I am a firm believer in the power of God! He spoke to me and didn't give me a moment of rest until I went to pick Yalla up. THE SITUATION ON PICKUP WAS VERY UNFORTUNATE! Pat played his hand showing no regard for Yalla and I saw the devil and it was a nightmare. Yalla was trying to get away from him, it was sad to see her this way and to know there was some clear neglect. Don't Trust this company with your dog!

He said "regardless of if you do business with me, here are some tips to help with your puppy." You don't come by that level of genuine care very often! I put both of my puppies through Pat's two week board and train--a Doberman and a Dutch Shepherd. Both pups are completely polar opposite in personalities, strengths and needs and Pat was able to train them both. Besides learning the basic sit, stay, heel, and come, my pups had the opportunity to socialize with other dogs and people in a safe environment. Having puppies be socialized in a safe setting with Pat's child, family, and personal/client dogs was such a blessing!! Finally, any time I have concerns, questions or want to share training successes, all I do is send Pat a text and I always get a response. Pat does the hard work for you and then you go home and do your homework. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I adopted my 2 1/2 year old chocolate lab a couple Months…read moreago and he lacked a lot of training. He is a huge lover but lacked socialization with both men, other dogs, and manners. I signed up Tank to be boarded with Derek for 2 weeks and although it felt like the longest 2 weeks, Tank came back a different dog. Tank is still the biggest lover but is not on the defense with men or other dogs. He is listening to me when I give him commands and seems 10x more confident! I am so grateful for the work that Derek put into Tank and really excited to have found somewhere to go that I trust when I am out of town! I highly recommend him!

Super fun trip and amazing employees!…read more My group of 3 booked the 1.5 hour horseback ride and we were joined by another group of 4. Rick led our group on the ride and Lex followed. They were kind, funny, and very helpful. They took us on a great relaxing ride and by the end of it I felt like an experienced rider! The horses were beautiful and very easy to ride. They fit us for our size compared to their horses before and gave us instructions and information on how to ride and deal with the horses. They gave us a water bottle for our trip too. The trail was beautiful and scenic and it was nice to pet and love on the horse too. Plenty of photo ops and Rick stopped and took photos for us on the horses! I would absolutely recommend Cave Creek Outfitters for a beautiful ride in the Tonto Forest. Thank you guys!!
