There are always trolleys available although they are often wet from the rain as there is insufficient cover for them. The store operates a self scan system if that is your thing although often it doesn't work and the queues at the special tills are often longer than the regular tills. Fruit and veg never seems to last long from here even compared to the much cheaper offerings from Morrisons. Pricewise it compares to Waitrose but there's no comparison in quality! There is an ever-shrinking fresh meat section and it often looks poor. The butcher counter is also small and rarely has much on it to tempt. My biggest grip here though is that I can rarely do a complete shop here and it's not because I want odd items. I've lost count of the number of times they've been out of stock of basics such as fresh milk, eggs, bread or chicken breasts. The queues are always long in here although the staff are quite pleasant. Good for a late night chemist. There is a cafe and toilets, both reasonaly clean.

Upon entering the store you have a wide range of magazines to choose from, including those for children and specialist magazines. This store also sells lotto tickets and a variety of scratch cards. The aisles are quite crowded and the store can get quite busy when the local schools are let out in the afternoon, but other than that it is pleasant convenience store with staff that are polite and courteous.

We do not go often enough to remember the changes and it must have taken us twice as long as previously. We have to keep looking for staff who can tell us where things are and they cannot enjoy this continual distraction. The whole shopping process has been very tiring and we no longer enjoy visiting Waitrose as we used to. Please think twice before doing this to us again.

Meat tends to be packaged in portions for 2 or 4 and larger joints are harder to come by. The fresh meat and fish counters vary in terms of stock but all is good. The deli is excellent with a good choice. Waitrose entertains is available in store as is glass hire. Staff are vey friendly and offer good assistance. There is a self-scan facility which speeds up checkout. Waitrose are participating in a community scheme benefitting local charities at the moment which appeals. Battery and plastic bag recycling are available in store. The car park is well maintatined and trolleys and baskets are always available, dry and in good condition. Opening hours vary throughout the week with extended hours towards the weekend.

The range is varied and reasonably priced, and the store is well laid out so most products are easy to find, but often gets crowded and busy around peak times, with queues on most tills. There is also a petrol station located near the exit of the store, which is useful if you have driven to the supermarket and require it. The staff are reasonably pleasant on most occasions.
