Why yes, as a matter of fact, I did spend my first night in Florence at an all you can eat sushi…read morerestaurant.
More than anything, after a week of being in Rome and Venice, I was starving like marvin for some good Asian-styled noodle soup or any semblance of Asian food. So as soon as I saw there was a AYCE sushi place around the corner from my flat, I made a bee-line for it and I am so glad that I did.
I was EXTRA hungry when I sat down so you know I ordered damn near everything on the menu. Kinda lost count of how many bowls of udon I had or how much sushi but I can guarantee that it was (insert my Larry David voice here) pretty, pretty, pretty good.
Protip: Don't order a la carte. Spend the € 22.00 and ball the hell out on a nice selection of sushi, pot stickers, tempura, soups, salads etc. There's some stuff on the menu, such as the sashimi, that is off limits when you're doing AYCE but you have plenty of options regardless.
