Dr Fugazzotto was the perfect choice for me (dentophobe, major!) for an extraction of an upper molar that I shattered and an implant. My dentist recommended him as Dr. Fugazzotto did the same procedure on him. If he was good for my dentist, whom I've been going to for 40 yrs, he's good for me! My dentist told me he would talk to him first for me so that Dr. Fugazzotto will be aware of how nervous I am. Well, the first comment he made to me with a big grin, was "I hear you hate dentists"? He had me laughing so hard I felt immediately I was at the right place. He made sure I was comfortable, told me to stop him at anytime I become uncomfortable. Dr. Paul Fagazotto is one of the best Dentists I have ever had. I recently had a tooth pulled and implant done. He was outstanding. I didn't sleep at all the night before my procedure. I was terribly anxious. I felt that I would be in pain. I feared that my mouth would not adjust to the implant. Dr. Fagazotto put my mind at ease. He was very methodical. He explained everything carefully. He put me at ease. He's sort of a comic but that doesn't undermine his competence. He was very down to earth and respectful of me as a patient. He has ample parking in Milton Village which is rare. He has two locations. I picked the Milton office because I'm working with my family dentist in Milton to do the crown. So it's convenient. My grandfather was dentist and dental surgeon in Turner's Falls, Massachusetts. He was Chairman of the Board of Massachusetts Dental Examiners in 1962 when I was born. Dr. Fugazzotto did a procedure on my daughter a couple years ago. When she arrived for her appointment she was told that they had not received the approval from her insurance yet. They then told her that she had to pay in full that day and that they would submit the claim again. She tried to re-schedule and was told they would charge her a penalty fee to do so. She has been fighting Dr. Fugazzotto's office as well as the insurance company for 2 years now to try and get reimbursed with no luck. The reason the insurance won't cover it is because Dr. Fugazzotto did not follow the correct procedure and take before and after x-rays. To top it all off, the procedure did not work and she needs to have it done again. Buyer beware! read more

I am 80 years old and this is the first review I have ever written, and I feel It is important to share this. I have been a patient of Dr. Fugazzotto for at least 25 years. I liked him and felt he was very knowledgeable in his field. I moved to Florida 10 years ago but still went to him for a couple of years when I had a place up north. I found two dentists in Florida that I went to on a regular basis but by the summer of 2021 I knew I had a problem with my care and went back to Dr. Fugazzotto. He said I would need a total of 5 procedures. I had the first one in August performed by Dr Brodsky. I went back to Florida and then flew back to Mass. in September to see Dr Fugazzotto. He did the Procedure that was the worst of all my problems. He had Dr. Brodsky take pictures to share/use with his school. He checked me in a week, we spoke about me coming back because he said he would do the remaining 3 Procedures at the same time. Shortly after the procedure I found that I was not healing correctly. I started to worry. I called his office to see what I should do; I was in agony. He nor his office returned any of my calls. I called his office 15 times; left messages each time and I never received a call back. I sent an email to him to tell him how upset and let down I felt. He in return sent me a legal sounding response to tell me that his records showed I did not call his office. I had my Son go through my phone records and I sent Dr. Fugazzotto a copy of the date and times of my calls and suggested that maybe it was his staff that was the issue and he never responded. I finally found a Dentist down in Florida who had to do the whole procedure over since the one Dr. Fugazzotto performed had failed. I don't think he's a bad dentist, I do feel he's expanded his business to have a School, a Botox clinic, a Sleep study clinic, and I feel he's stretched too thin. I Just need to say that I'm not upset about the failed procedure with my kind of dental problems I understand that things do not always go as planned. But to not call, not to care, not to give me the time of day to tell me what I should do is just not right. read more

Due to a dental abcess (DO NOT IGNORE THESE; they erode bone fast), I lost an upper molar and a lot of the bone that anchored it. The skull is eggshell-thin in that spot under the best of circumstances, and the periodontist who first treated this advised me that the standard recommendation would have been a bridge, since there were very few implant specialists who could do a good job with such a case. Dr. Fugazzotto was cited as one of those few. I crosschecked his reputation among those teaching the specialty; they all agreed that he was one of the best in the area. As others have said, if you're the type of patient who wants to understand what's happening, Paul's very good at providing that info, both in advance and as he works through the procedure. I haven't asked, but I suspect some of that comes from teaching experience. I've been one of the few who experienced complications after implant surgery (_not_ Paul's fault, as far as I can tell!) If anything, watching him deal with that has made me even more impressed with him -- he's clearly fully up to date in his field, and he worked hard to ensure a good outcome. He not only fixes smiles, he makes folks smile. Excellent doctor and general Good Guy. One minor gripe: It's nice that he offers a discount for paying in advance by check. But his office staff isn't great about letting us know when the insurance payment eventually comes through and we wind up with a credit on our account. A call or letter would be nice. read more

I am SO VERY happy to have followed the suggestion to come to Dr. Fugazzotto for my extraction and dental implants needs. I was coming from a very bad experience somewhere else (bad calls, a bit of pain here and there and then a hypochlorite incident...), and so I had no faith whatsoever in dentists of any kind. Well, Dr. Fugazzotto made me change this attitude. I felt no pain AT ALL (so, please, do not worry about this, it makes no sense, believe me) and the post-op was ok. Prices are very comparable for these kinds of procedures, but Dr. Fugazzotto's office makes things very quick, easy and effective. They also have a 360 degree CT scan which will avoid you 1,000 tiny x rays that need to be repeated all the time. You will get ONE CT scan, that's it. He is caring, compassionate, and GOOD (they call him the genius). His office is also just 15 min from Boston and there is parking. I could not recommend him more. read more
