First time trying out this ramen place in the heart of Bordeaux, very nice neighborhood! You are able to sit at the bar and watch the cooks while you eat, which I always love. The staff is friendly and our food arrived really quickly. I had the classic Ramen, I loved that the noodles were homemade, they were perfectly cooked and fresh. The pork belly was nice, there were two thick slices which I found quite generous. The broth was really flavorful and not too salty. Would visit again!

I'm not gonna start with the line I've tried ramen in Japan cause that is what everyone says...... Actually feck it, I am. I've had ramen in Japan several times and I love it. Anytime I see a ramen restaurant anywhere in the world I struggle not to go in and this was no different. The decor was standard and could have been a ramen restaurant on Japan. The staff were friendly enough, the service was quick and the food is cooked right Infront of you. In terms of the food itself it was not the best ramen in the world, but it was very decent. Double pork was still not that much and the egg was a bit small, but I enjoyed it and the broth was tasty. We also shared some dumplings and they went down great. All in if you fancy a break from French food and wine, this is definitely worth a look.

Fufu is just what you want a hip ramen noodle bar to look like - small, narrow with mainly bar seats, noisy, full of steam from boiling and frying noodles and full of people. You can choose between noodle soup (ramen), fried noodles (yakisoba), fried rice or dumplings (gyoza) - or all of the above, obviously. At least half of the staff seems to be Japanese, which promises authentic Japanese fare. I haven't been so fortunate as to have eaten ramen in Japan, and can thus not comment on the authenticity of the taste, but I found both the ramen, yakisoba and gyoza to be delicious. The portions are really generous, and the service is friendly - what's not to like?

The tantanmen is spectacular, absolute best ever. Pasta is home made. The restaurant is cute and clean, service is fast. Everything I've had there was really good. The staff is friendly and efficient. My favourite ramen place in Bordeaux.

There is sometimes a line but it moves fast because you dont wait long to get your food. We got there right when it opened so we found a seat.We had Tantanmen soup on a cold evening and it hit the spot. Service is great, they have a menu in english if you need it.

Fantastic - I felt like I was back in Japan. The ramen was delicious, the gyoza were crispy, and the sake was cold. And they have takeout!

The Yakisoba was great but the pork was a tiny bit dry and could have been a little more flavorful.

We got there at 7pm and I'm glad we had the early reservation because it was a 3-hour dining extravaganza. Service is 5 stars! Absolutely top notch. We don't speak French and had absolutely no problem here. Notes.... 1) there is no menu 2) they can and do accomodate preferences and allergies... Love this since I'm lactose intolerant. 3) an open mind and an adventurous eater is ideal 4) be ready for an epicurean adventure 5) the chef is a creative food genius We opted for the 5-course tasting menu with wine pairing. It's a great deal for this high end dinner.... Total was 227 Euros for 2 people. Everything we had was good including the wine. But some were hits while others were... Hmm... "It's beautiful, but not my favorite". My favorite was the ravioli! It was non-dairy and seriously the best ravioli ever! The one thing that I found frustrating was everything was "blind". Meaning the food and wine were not described until AFTER you consumed it. Apparently, you are supposed to be good at guessing what you are consuming. After the first 2 courses, I was over it. I wanted to know what everything was before I started to eat/drink. But I played along to horrible results on my part since I got all the wines wrong and most of the sauces and seasonings. Oh well. It was still a really good dinner and an experience I will never forget.

Wait staff gets 5 stars. Friendly, welcoming, and informative…read more The food falls just a little bit short, in my opinion. Some combos just didn't make sense, and nothing was outstanding.
