We were passing through and we stopped for gas and filled up and I went inside. Some guy was ahead of me (who walked in at the same time as me) and I politely asked for the key to the restroom and he said sorry I'm closed. Except the door was unlocked and he just helped a guy less than 10 seconds before me. Who denies someone to go to the bathroom? So maybe you cleaned it but I'm not going to piss all over the floor. I just got off of the 299 and Redding is the first major stop before getting on the freeway again, it should be expected that people will stop here for a pit stop. I looked at my phone as I walked out of the door and it said 10:30 but I was in the store and it was a simple ask and he helped the guy I walked in with! We stop often as Chevron's even if it's a higher price almost always because we appreciate the better service and nicer quality of stations and bathrooms. I'm so appalled right now that someone would be so unaccommodating for something as necessary as using the bathroom. Plus I just filled up my SUV and gave the jerk my money! Should've just stopped at the Valero up the street, it was packed and people going in and out. So shocked and disappointed...

They accept cash or…read moredebit cards only, and debit transactions include a $0.40 processing fee, which is clearly disclosed. Unfortunately, the low prices are overshadowed by what I experienced as consistently poor customer service. Every interaction I've had has felt dismissive, unfriendly, and indifferent. I left with the impression that customers are viewed as inconveniences rather than valued patrons. Low prices may bring people through the door, but courtesy, professionalism, and respect are what earn repeat business. Based on my experiences, this business falls well short of that standard. I hope management recognizes that treating customers with basic civility is just as important as offering competitive prices.
