Dodge City Mac & Cheese and a Rice Half Pint

My husband was so excited to try this place. First, the only reason he knew it was here was a coupon that was mailed out. So how long has this place been here??? We walked in, and it's a lot like Fuzzy's. Except the place was empty... we ordered our food, and the gentleman helping us wasn't sure how to use the coupon for the chips and queso.... We filled up our sodas and found a table in the corner. They have a couple arcade games and a shuffle board... so I can see they are trying to have a chill vibe, but overall, it was just dead but still not quiet. The food came out fast! Which was great! We ordered 4 different tacos (which are damn near burrito size) side of rice and the chips and queso. The food was a solid 3/5. I got the carnitas taco with Mac n cheese and BBQ sauce, which I enjoyed but couldn't finish. I so tried the fish taco... but they could only fry it, even though blackened was an option on the menu. I think it would have been better blackened. The breading lacked flavor. The pink sauce on top was a little spicy for me. I don't recall the tacos my husband ordered. He liked them just fine. But the rice was dry and hard... almost like there wasn't enough water added in the process and the queso was really cheesy... which I love cheesy... but more like filmy not dippy. We ended up only taking the tacos we couldn't finish home. The rice and dip were nasty. Either way. Glad we tried it, but I have no desire to go back. There's plenty of other Mexican places in that price point with better and fresher tasting food.

Finally got to try Fuego! I was hungry so ordered like I would at any Mexican restaurant. I got 2 South Padres and a chips and queso. I had no idea how big these things are! Other reviews mentioned that they're big but you can't tell in photos but when you're eating them, they're big! I was able to eat 1 taco and half of the queso. The drive thru line took a minute so each taco is freshly made and hot. (I didn't go in so I can't speak to the ambiance). I liked these tacos better than Torchy's but as far as I'm concerned, nobody can beat torchy's queso. Each item was roughly 6 bucks ($18 total) so I felt like that was a pretty good deal for what will be 2 meals for me. I am very full! I will go back and try other tacos and maybe go in and see what all of the salsa offerings are.

Stopped here for breakfast tacos. Got the potato egg and cheese, bean and cheese, sausage egg and cheese and bacon and egg tacos. Potato was like chunks of fried potato's with egg and cheese. It was good w the salsa verde and a small amount of the widow maker hot sauce. Bean and cheese was ok but I would get bacon egg next time. My picky son had the bacon egg taco and ate all of it. Husband had the other two and liked them as well and had them w the salsa Rojo. Bonus they have free games inside which my son loved. Super clean. Service was great. We will be back for lunch or dinner next.

So I was really excited to try Fuego, because the previous Mexican restaurant was no longer there. When we went in, they were not busy. And the staff was super friendly and answered our questions about the menu. I got the salad and did fish instead of chicken or steak. My husband got the salad with steak and wanted to add chicken. We got chips and queso and also got a margarita on the rocks to go. We had to wait a little while to get our food but we had a pretty large order. They do have a salsa bar and a little arcade area. Well, when we got home. We were a little disappointed because my salad had fish and steak. But I don't eat meat and my husband's salad only had chicken and no steak. Thankfully, I was able to take the steak off pretty easily and still eat my salad. And although it had a nice amount of beans and pico, it did not have a lot of lettuce and some of the other things I would expect in a salad. The salads were large and not badly priced. I would go back but I don't know if my husband would.

So excited we have a Fuego here now. The tacos were so amazing. This place is soooo much better than torchy's. Also tried the prickly pear margarita, very tasty. Pickup order through the app was an easy process.

This was my first time here, second for my husband. The place seems to be clean and renovated from the previous restaurant. The staff was friendly, we didn't ask any questions about the menu as they are located right when you walk in the door for you to grab. I ordered the el presidente and my husband ordered the king. He said his was soggy because of all the different sauces on it; mine was fine. We also ordered the queso, which didn't have a lot of flavor-reminded me of Fuzzy's queso. I also had a margarita on the rocks-regular-which was a nice size for $5, it was ok but could have been better if it was dressed. I will definitely give it another try.

Totally geeked out when I realized this is the same restaurant from College Station, TX -- it used to be a weekly staple for me! First off, the tortillas are so good you could eat them by themselves -- seriously, they're that amazing! And you have to try the queso; it's unlike any queso you've ever had. I'm all about fully loaded tacos, and this place delivers. They've got fun, creative names for their menu items, but my hungry self always goes for the biggest, thickest tacos they've got! The chorizo is also next-level -- easily some of the best I've had in a long time. Service was fast, prices were fair and totally worth it, and even the drive-thru was quick. Plus, the building itself has a great look and vibe from the outside.

Stopped by again to dine in and had another great experience! Great portions, plus a refill on drinks and chips for our queso. I'll still say that the El Presidente is still my favorite choice on the menu by far, across multiple locations. If I had to give any wish for improvement I'd say the flour tortillas we had tonight weren't my favorite, the consistency I guess, was a little denser than I remember from other locations. Not sure if I noticed that on my first trip here. All in all, still so excited to have a DFW location. My go-to order of the Presidente is much closer to home now!

The "tacos" are more like burritos they are so big and tasty! Really like the addition of this place to Burleson.

Nice staff. Clean restaurant but the food. It's so mid. I doubt this place will last.

Service and atmosphere was nice but that's definitely not carne Asada. Nothing close to it.
