I am so glad I had an opportunity to eat here when I had a Friday off, because I didn't realize they aren't open on the weekends. I met a friend here last night as it was on the way to an event we were going to. He's in Yukon and I'm in Norman. I ordered the taco basket and it was as delicious as all the photos appeared. They come birria-style with cheese and consommé and you can choose your meat. I got two chicken and one beef. It also comes with a side and I got red rice. It was all really good. I know birria tacos have become quite popular recently, but this was my first time to try them. I had heard of this restaurant and seen that it was usually very busy when I drove by, so we wanted to try it out for lunch recently. We were greeted with a smile when we came in, and I was surprised by how small the restaurant was, but there was a table for two available, so that worked out perfectly. You order at the counter, and I chose the taco basket with three different types of meat (chicken, birria, and pork), so I could enjoy the variety. Each taco was very good, and my favorite was the pork. My husband got the fuego nachos, which are loaded with meat and cheese. They were good, but the chips got a little soft after a few minutes. It seems like many people pick up their food to go since the dining room is so small (maybe 5-6 tables). I think I would prefer to eat in house to fully enjoy the food while it is hot and fresh. A must ! This is good. I was told they use to be a truck but now a small place on Douglas in Midwest City. This is close to Crest groceries, to give you an idea. Tables are limited but alot of to go orders. Lunch is quick, so we have always had a table. We ordered the chicken taco plate that comes with 3 tacos, dipping juice, and 1 side. The beans are good and the street corn is great. Tacos are crisp with lots of meat. They come out in the metal divider so they are perfect. Sauce on the table with the green the hottest. 2nd visit I tried the Quesadilla, good but still love the tacos. Next want to try Nachos or the pizza. They do not have fountain drinks. Bottled water for $1 and other drinks including Fancy Lemonades. Service is great ! Lady taking order, also works hard cleaning tables, brings you your order. Only things I would change is more napkins.....lol I am a messy eater when it's really good. Perfer fountain drinks with ice. 9 items on menu, can't wait to try them all. Noodles will be last, they seem so messy to eat. Maybe just not at lunch. read more

This Hispanic/Black owned restaurant is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I am so upset that I haven't tried it before now. I went in because my daughter of all people swore to me is was so good and flavorful (which I didn't believe because she says she hates food with a lot of seasoning), so my hopes weren't high. She ordered the taco plate with rice and I had the Mexican pizza. When I say blown away at the first bite, I WAS BLOWN AWAY. I tried my daughters rice and I instantly ran to the counter to order my own! The birria was super tender and the food had such wonderful flavor. On the way out, the owner jokingly said, "I tell everyone I will see them tomorrow after their first visit!" And he did not lie! Well kinda, it was two days later, LOL and I was back for more. Looking for some good fast food Mexican? I suggest you try this place. A little shop on the corner of Reno and South Douglas but big in taste. I got a loaded burrito with shredded pork with green onions and cilantro. It had excellent flavor but a bit small for the price of $12.00. Even with the price tag I recommend trying it. Overall grade a "B+". Grade would have been higher if the burrito was bigger or the price a little lower. The tacos looked awesome. I'll be back to try them. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while and yesterday I did and I must say I wasn't disappointed at all. We ordered the birria tacos the Mexican pizza and the shrimp nachos. It was all flavorful and seasoned well. The only downside I say is the nachos was mushy because we ordered it to go and with all the toppings on it..it made the the chips soft. I would suggest eating it there or having them separate the chips and toppings. This is definitely a hidden gem and worth trying. I went here today and got the number 1 beef birrias with sweet corn. Unfortunately the birrias were burnt where I did not get to enjoy. I got the sweet corn and it was not sweet. I enjoyed this food a lot. I got the taco plate with a shrimp, asada, and birria taco with a side of street corn. And I ordered the 3 flavored churros and a calypso lemonade to drink. The food came out at decent amount of time, not super fast but it was a crazy long wait either. Everything was hot and looked delicious. The shrimp taco was my favorite, the shrimp were big and well seasoned. I wasn't crazy about the birria because it was so much shredded meat and I am not a fan of shredded meat. I didn't taste my asada one as I was full and took my leftovers. Well I went out of town after that and it just sat for too many days. The corn was great. The churros were $2 each. My favorite churro was was the cream filled. I tried the caramel and didn't taste much caramel and also tried the strawberry filled and I was not a fan. They only serve bottled drinks for $2.50. I got ocean blue lemonade calypso, probably my least favorite one but this has nothing to do with the restaurant just putting that out there. The restaurant is relatively small maybe 4 tables or so it's not really a lot of space. The cashier wasn't the friendliest or most helpful either. My meal was $22.50, a little pricey . I will start with the service. I was greeted when I walked in the door by a young lady with a pleasant attitude and a big smile. She seemed happy to be there and was very attentive. Next was the food. I ordered the Loaded Burrito and my wife got the Taco Basket. The food came out quick and hot, just like it should. The burrito was good size and had great flavor. The tacos were asada and had a great flavor as well and I really enjoyed the dipping consommé. My favorite off of her plate were the elotes. We finished the dinner with a Bavarian filled churro. As far as the inside of the restaurant it was nice. It was clean and well kept. Only opportunity I saw was to lower the radio volume.
