All tacos $1, they don't charge extra for barbacoa, lengua and tripas like other places do. Tacos on the greasy side, but asada was still very tasty, clear winner of the four meats I tried. Lengua less oily, meat properly tender but flavor lacked some. I didn't care for either provided salsa. The one meat I suggest avoiding, carnitas was dripping wet soggy, texture clumpy, flavor again lacking. Barbacoa was dripping less but had similar issues. Tortillas thin and processed, too oily. Overall tacos were not terrible for a dollar, but they could do better.

Because this is some of the best authentic Mexican food around! First, I am addicted to their consomé. On a cool evening I drink it like coffee. It's crazy delicious with a big squeeze of lime, has lots of chile flavor and just the right spice level for me. A 16 oz cup is $2.50. Drizzle it on their tacos for an OMG flavor punch. Second, their signature brisket "vapor" tacos are shredded, marinated, super tender and flavorful -- another of my local favorites. Again, especially with that consomé. Third, they also serve super tender carnitas that just melt in your mouth. (But I do recommend skipping their dry carne asada). Tacos were $1.75 each. The man taking orders is super friendly. It is a food truck and cash only. Parking lot gets full but a spot will usually open up. If you come, be sure to call ahead and enjoy some the best real Mexican food in the city!

Besides the California Burrito, everything else is phenomenal. I LOVE their green sauce in the squeeze bottles, which is similar to the Mexican grocery store "pale" kind. The Cuban Torta is RIDICULOUS and delicious. It's one of the best tortas I've ever had. I haven't tried much else on the menu, but even after trying just a few things, it's already my favorite Mexican place in town.

I took it as a real complement to the chef since he came back so many times he just needs a break. Haven't we all been there (hello, Nutella). I went all in on the carnitas (fried pork) quesadilla. It was so great. It was huge and so filling. It had so much meat and just the perfect amount of cheese. It was served piping hot and was fantastically flavorful all around. I loved their little salsas and pickled veggies on the side as it was a nice contrast to the 'dilla. My dining partner got 3 tacos. Though they were all lovely we both agreed we liked the carnitas the best. These little street tacos were packed with meat, onions and cilantro and were great little vessels for that yummy salsa. Cheap tasty eats. We'll be back. Cash only. February 2020
