Nope. Nope...This is absolutely not Hawaiian food. This is a…read morecomplete mockery of Hawaiian food. To begin with, the mac was DRY. Yes, dry. Any Islander knows, Hawaiian mac is super buttery and creamy. This stuff was barely more than elbow noodles with mayo. And as for their Kalua pork... holy moly... I hope you enjoy disgusting cabbage water, because they do not flash-steam their cabbage and then set the shredded pork on top. No, they literally cook the cabbage to death like a poor Irishman from 1850, then scoop it into the box along with at least a cup of nasty cabbage water with it. The musubi was forgettable at best, with far too little glaze for the size of the musubi. And they were $4 each ($8, as you must purchase 2), which is bonkers expensive for spam, rice, a little glaze, and nori-wrap. Finally: This is nothing more than plain, overcooked crockpot pork, as that is exactly how it tasted. No island spices could be detected whatsoever in any bite. If they ever added any spices, they were likely washed off in all of that foul crockpot water. Ultimately this was a big pile of shredded pork and cabbage goop in a box with plain rice and worse-than-average mac salad. I promise -- you could make Hawaiian food far better at home as a complete novice, even if it didn't turn out very good. Yuck. So fricken gross.

I order no Mac Salad and get extra Rice instead. 10/10 will continue to come just for this. The guy that works the cart always tells me he'll try to make it quick but it usually is way quicker than I'd ever expect anyways.

Stopped by this Le Petit Cafe counter inside of Troutdale Station recently…read more Troutdale Station is a food cart mall with about twenty food carts, a huge parking lot, and a central brick and mortar building with counters for drinks and snacks. One of said counters is a mini Le Petit Cafe. I ordered a marionberry macaron, and, wow. It's a serious contender for a new favorite. The cookie was crisp, light, and a bit airy. The dust on the shell was sour, while the creme filling was sweet. This gave eating it a similar experience to eating a freshly picked blackberry. Certainly one of the most creative macarons I've ever tried. It was a whole experience. I guess it was my lucky day, because as I was ordering, the Barista asked me if I wanted a complimentary coffee drink that had been made by accident. I don't even remember what it was called, but it was amazing. I think it was some kind of vanilla latte. I came back on a second occasion and ordered a 12 ounce caramel latte with a pistachio macaron. I loved the latte, but this time, the macaron was bad. It was so stale that I considered asking for a different flavor. Overall I loved the coffee but found everything to be a little high priced based on the quality. I would still stop by here for a coffee in the future because Troutdale Station has free wifi for customers, and this is the best coffee spot there that I know of.
