It was founded in Pittsburgh in 1914 and is spreading its franchises across the country. This particular location is in Cranberry Township. When I entered the business and began to look at the display cases and menus, two employees very courteously greeted me. I purchased three small chocolates for $17 plus tax and tip. Here are my ratings for what I bought: Dubai-style chocolate bar - 3.5 stars - I have eaten Dubai chocolate for a while now, and this one was not as authentic and flavorful as one that I ate from New York City, but it was still good. Chocolate-dipped toffee stroopwafel - 5 stars - This stroopwafel tasted like other stroopwafels that I have eaten, and I liked its chocolate dip. Pen's Puck - 4 stars - A solid piece of plain chocolate was in the shape of a Pittsburgh Penguin's hockey puck.

A Gem Outside of Pittsburgh!…read more Just a short note of gratitude for Andrea and her team at Flour & Sugar Cakery in Seven Fields. I was so grateful to have discovered this amazing custom cakery just outside of Pittsburgh. My daughter had just begun her freshman year at Pitt and was celebrating her 19th birthday away from us and our home in NY for the first time. She had a vision for her cake, and I was so fortunate to find this gem of a bakery and its outstanding staff. Andrea and her team understood my daughter's vision for the cake inside and out and really hit it out of the park. It was exactly what she had envisioned and the attention to detail was amazing. While I didn't get to taste it myself, I heard from the many who did! The custom cookies-and-cream filling with yellow cake and fudge layering was described as "the best cake they ever tasted." I think that says it all! Well done, guys, and thank you for helping make my daughter's birthday away from home that much more special. I truly appreciated all the care and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

As soon as my husband and I entered this store, the two employees courteously said hello to us. We decided to order six donuts for us and two donuts for our dog. Some donuts were already pre-made, and other donuts had to be made for us. The employees did a good job of applying icing and toppings to our donuts. We ate our donuts at home. Our flavors were Banana, Boston Cream, Cherry Pie, Fruity Pebbles, Raspberry Lemonade, and Strawberry French Toast. We thought that these donuts tasted good. My dog apparently also enjoyed her donuts. (See the attached photo of her!)

They were doing a deal that if you purchased a half dozen you could get a coffee for free. I don't drink coffee so they offered me one free cinnamon sugar donut, which was kind of them! So why three stars? It's fun, there are lots of options, but honestly, it's appalling how much six tiny donuts cost! Nearly $10! I can get a DOZEN full size donuts at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts for the same price. Now, you may say, they don't have as many "fun flavors" but to me, it was not worth it. Great service, friendly staff, fun flavors, but I wouldn't waste the money on such tiny donuts again. Haha!

The donut is a small cake donut with the toppings applied per order. These come out to $10 per dozen, which is what you could roughly pay for full size donuts elsewhere. I don't really get into the novelty of applying toppings per order as I tend to eat basic donuts (glazed, sprinkles, etc) but if unique flavor combos are your thing this would be up your alley. Compared to Duck Donuts I actually like that they don't apply for the toppings while the donut is hot as they just melt right off. That said, this is a truck in the winter and the donuts were cold. However, I did find them to taste fresh and not overly greasy which is good. In a pinch, I'd definitely be back - not really my style but worth supporting... And I'd assume kids would love these as well!
