They have items such as: antique and vintage lighting, hardware, furniture, miscellaneous architectural fixtures, and so much more. While moseying around the shop, I inquired about a couple of light fixtures that were out of reach and they were very friendly and helpful when following up with questions. It was not difficult to find someone to assist me at all. The prices are at a premium here because you are finding unique items that are in excellent condition and often times hard to find. I found a 8pc set of drawer pulls that I was hunting for an antique dresser for years. Patience and luck came together for me at Old Portland Hardware. Looking forward to my next visit!

I went to the activity last month and while the normal teacher wasn't there, it was a very enjoyable experience. When the activity was posted for this month, I was very excited to attend and meet the normal instructor. The class was from 3:00 to 5:00 and was listed as make this craft for free during this session. I arrived at 2:55 and the instruction for how to sew the project had already been delivered despite the fact that people were showing up for the 3:00 start time. Also the supplies were not provided but the most frustrating part was we weren't even going to make the craft. Everybody was disappointed and the store said everyone who showed up must have misunderstood what was clearly posted differently on their website. It felt like a bait and switch which was disappointing for a company that I had valued so much in the past. The selection in the store is great, but I was left with a sour taste in my mouth from the community crafting class that did not involve any crafting or community. The instructor said all of the information was online so I'm not sure why we even came to the store in the first place.

Happy reunion ensued, followed by amazed perusal... honestly, I was astonished by the array of beautifully-showcased, high-quality, candy-like local artists' works tempting me from every corner. And she put it together in only a few months...! There were art-glass bowls and vases and jewelry, watercolor paintings and print cards, fabric arts fashion accoutrements and wall-hangings, crazy and humorous and "why-didn't-I-think-of-that" useful home decor, and all in a cute little renovated Victorian... must go back when I have a tshatshke/goodie budget. Really reasonable prices, too, especially given the quality of the merchandise and the trendiness of the area...

Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans. Pete: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name? Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land." Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.

Stopped by the Pool & Spa House to see how bad the damage could be and what I would need to do to fix it. Can I just say that Don was the greatest. He totally eased my fears and told me that hot tubs frequently get pin hole leaks in some of the joints and fittings. He even took me over to some of their systems on display to demonstrate where and what to look for in determining the type of leak. The best part was his recommendation of a product called "Fix a Leak" and how to apply it to my system. With one bottle and little expert instruction from Don, I fixed my hot tub in no time and it barely cost me any blood, sweat and tears as I had feared it might. Thanks Don!
