HIGHLY recommend

If you don't see any of the negative reviews that have been posted related to this company before, because they will delete them, at least READ this one. I WAS mutilated related to their need for generational wealth. I have permanent nerve damage along with losing faith in someone who I believed was looking after my best interests. They will lie to you, give you false information about the dental services you need, and then give you a 30-day notice that THEY are terminating their business with you before the job is finished, when you go somewhere else to find out WHY things are not going the way they should be going. I had to pressure them and stand in their lobby, stating that the 16,000 dollar job was not finished and needed to be finished. Three different specialists informed me that I was misled with a false diagnosis of the services I needed. So please, for your own dental health and well-being, AND BANK ACCOUNT, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I will tell my story about this to the day I die and I hope I can save more people from being abused by this greedy Dental operation. I was going there for a long time. They will offer you free services for positive reviews ( I gave one) and free bottles of wine, but when it comes down to it, they are not loyal to their customers. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY....AGAIN GO ELSEWHERE

I was scheduled for a consult with Dr. Parrott because I needed a molar (tooth #19) extracted and I knew it would be difficult because it was in the center of a bridge, He worked off of the xrays that I had from Dr Nolph in Jefferson City as I did not want more xrays taken. He took the time to work me in that day as I had been treated for an abscess. He worked very hard to get out this decaying tooth, removing it in pieces, He even took time to pre-numb with a first shot before giving the big dose of novacain. His staff was very pleasant and considerate. I was presented with two options and went just with extraction with a plug in order to not overstep my insurance coverage. I will go back anytime to see Dr Parrott. Also, I apologize to the waiting room patients who might have been delayed by my care which was provided excellently but I am certain took longer than expected. As a 78 year old, I will remain eternally grateful for Dr. Parrott and his staff.

Went to Aspen Dental yesterday for a second opinion from my long-time dentist, and it was horrible…read moreto say the least. I went in for a consultation. I approached the counter and handed the lady my insurance card and told her my name. She gave me the iPad to fill out. I went to sit down, and the receptionist got on the phone with the insurance company to see my coverage. The receptionist was yelling my information loudly instead of going to a different more confidential area. Luckily, I was the only one in the office. They called me back did x-rays and then took me to the exam room. The hygienist turned on the monitor in the room to look at my x rays and, several times while I was sitting in the chair Microsoft teams came across. On the office chat they were talking about patients, with their names and date of birth in an unprofessional manner. I guess there was a patient that showed up late to her appt., the staff was being very rude and talking about the client in an area other clients could hear the conversation. They were speaking about the patient in a derogatory tone, and one of the staff members says "well if she would have come on time then she would have been able to be seen. I told her that if she was wanting to be seen it would be at least an hour wait." One of the other staff members started laughing and said, "it will be at least an hour, if not longer" and started laughing. Then she said something along the lines of "well if she would have gotten here on time, then it wouldn't have been an issue." Don't get me wrong I know people being late for appts is frustrating but, there is not a need to speak about the client like that in front of other clients. Not only that but with Columbia being so tore up with construction, it does take longer to get around in the city. As I know this is something that should have been prepared for, it could have been out of her control and should never be talked about in front of another client. The "hygienist specialist came in, (didn't know there needed to be a special person to look at your gums). Without even looking in my mouth, I was told that I had the start of bone loss (never heard that before in my life) and that I would need a "deep cleaning" to fix that. This was a second opinion appt and my dentist back home has never mentioned having a deep cleaning and I go there regularly. I then spoke to the "hygienist specialist" and told her what I was wanting, and she stated that the doctor would never agree to that, and that even if I begged he would not give me what I wanted. My husband was sitting in the chair and saw the assistant look in my mouth with gloves on her hands then she went to the computer and started typing. She took her hand and pushed down the trash in the trash can and then went back to the computer. The hygienist noticed my husband looking at her and so she removed her gloves and used germ x. I wonder how long she would have used those gloves if he would have not been watching her? Lastly, we had to meet with the accounts person to get quotes, and we were told that "due to it being close to the time that they closed that they were going to put us in the lobby and we would have to wait for the accounts person." My appt was at 2:30 and I had got there at 2:15. It was not my fault that it took 2 hours for a dentist appt and that I needed to be flexible due to them taking too long. I went in to talk with the accounts manager, and she quoted us it to be about 4k. I asked her if that included the partial as well and she stated that it did not and that the doctor had not even wrote that I was going to be getting a partial. I told her that is what I thought I was getting the quote for. She then looked up adding a partial that bumped it up to $4400.00. I work in the health care industry and have for 7 plus years, I don't know how many incidents that went against HIPAA laws was crossed but I can think of about 5 off the top of my head. All together the place was dirty the staff was completely unprofessional. The doctors would not listen to me and completely disregarding me when I was saying that I had a calcium deficiency and that my teeth continue to break. I will never step back in that doctor office. The lack of cleanliness and professionalism was unacceptable. I asked for a copy of my x-rays and close to a day later still have not received them.

Avoid Dr. Miller at all costs…read more Long story short - his work will not hold up and can lead to serious health problems, details below. Received a couple of fillings, crowns, and a root canal (from a filling he did wrong) from Dr. Miller over 1-1.5 year period about 3 years ago. At this point, all work he placed in my mouth had to be replaced and some of them have led to serious issues and oral surgery. First, my last treatment at Columbia Center for dentistry was a root canal. The root canal was on a tooth Dr. Miller did a filling on 2-3 months prior. At the time of the filling I said that it didn't feel like it was in my tooth all the way. He told me that it was just my tongue and the anesthesia, looked in my mouth and said "looks perfect to me" I insisted it wasn't in and he told me that he was the dentist and I wasn't and said I should purchase a warranty plan on it if I was unsure. 2-3 months later I'm back in the chair, filling wasn't in all the way and debris got into it, more decay, needed a root canal. After the root canal I said "good thing I bought the warranty" - was told the warranty only covered another filling and I had to pay for the entire root canal. I said that was ridiculous because I pointed it out prior and even bought the warranty. They ended up refunding me the warranty after the complaint and I got a letter that I was kicked out of the practice because I "disrespected him and his time". What about my (correct) opinion about the bad filling? And my time and money I had to spend getting his mistakes fixed? But that's not where this root canal ends. Today, I have just left an emergency surgery after having a CT scan on my head revealing a massive abscess resulting from his root canal. Something about him not putting posts in and the roots breaking off from the main tooth, leading to a gigantic infection that (not exaggerating) ate completely through the rear portion of my upper jawbone. I had to have multiple bone grafts just to keep the rear tooth from drifting away and to have a chance at an implant in the future. Doesn't stop there. After columbia, I lived in St. Louis for one year. The dentist there had to repair a crown Dr Miller had done that fell off. The dentist remarked how the tooth was almost completely ground away and that "usually dentists have a plan when they make crowns". Then I move to Chicago, the first dentist I see asked the same question as the stl dentist "who was your previous dentist?". One of the other crowns Dr. Miller did, he had ground all of the tooth away to a tiny nub and cut my gums, and then attached the crown while they were still bleeding which led to a leaky seal, allowing bacteria into the tooth which had spread down to my jaw. Had to have a portion of my jawbone removed and that crown extracted as well. Had to have all the other crowns and fillings replaced too. Same story with every crown, tooth ground to a nub. I got a second and even third opinion before I had all of this done - with the exception of todays emergency surgery. Last night and this morning were the most pain I have ever been in amongst surgery, broken bones, anything. Pure agony. I also never knew that root canal specialists existed until leaving Dr. Millers practice. Not only did he not refer me to one before botching mine. He did not even suggest or mention it. Now after 2 oral surgeries and 3 trips to my new dentist, all of his work is finally out of my mouth. It has cost me tens of thousands of dollars, a lot of pain, a lot of time, and portions of my jawbone that will hopefully recover with the cadaver bone grafts. Missouri has a 2 year statute of limitations against malpractice so legal recourse is limited. He might be able to do one or two fillings fine or a sloppy crown but I cannot begin to describe how much misery Dr. Millers sloppy work and arrogant attitude have brought to my life. I can't even eat solid food for 2 months now because of the extractions and missing jawbone. Other 1 star reviews have disappeared but email me if you want evidence.
