The restaurant waiting room had beautiful decoration and was extremely well kept. All surfaces were clean and clearly cared for and looked after. This is obviously a business that is proud of what they are and how they serve their food, and it absolutely shows in the way they provide their hospitality. The authentic atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, and it was really nice to see who I assume is a family working together to keep their company thriving! "Dave's Chippy" used to be the place to go for fish & chips, then it was run by "Tony & Eve" who really lowered the standards. Now a young couple have taken over, and "Barton's" DO provide traditional Fish & Chips, plus a lot more. The Traditional chippy still exists, and the quality is the same that we had before this young couple were even born! However they offer so much more than a "Traditional Chippy". Their Chicken Curry is unbelievably good. Unbelievably good value too. The cafe is often full of regulars too (they often recommend the breakfasts) - so that in itself suggests that this place is doing every thing right.
