Jugo Verde
Ally B.

First time coming here today and was recommended by my suegra! I ordered the jugo verde which was delicious and at room temp. Such a great way to start the day and will be coming here again! They do mostly speak Spanish but easy to communicate what you'd like to order. You can even call ahead to order for pick up! Life saver if you're on the way to work. Will be back to try other juices!

Love the juices! Fresh and healthy, the prices are so good for the giant cup of goodness they give you. -Vampiro -Bebida Vitamínico Large is $6.50 and they usually make more and they have you drink from the cup so they can top it up. Got a beautiful papaya too but the fruit prices are a tiny bit higher than other supermarkets. Can get kinda busy. They are though, the fruit kingdom. People come for the cut up fruit, bionic is, smoothies and just plain fruit.

The fact that they close at 9PM is amazing! Similar places always close early. Came to get a smoothie after a workout and it was soo good! Reminded me of the ones my mom made me when I was a little girl. Also the sizes are big, I got a small that looks like a large at other places like Jamba. The workers were also extremely friendly & kind!

Very fresh pressed juice! They even sell fresh produce inside the store which is reasonably priced.

San Gabriel finally has its own farmers market every Saturday. It's still pretty new and not very…read morebig yet, I think when I went it was only the second week, but it already has the essentials. Fresh produce, baked goods, hummus, pizza, tamales, seafood, and more. This weekend I stopped by and grabbed grilled skewers from Far East Embers. You could smell them from across the market, they were grilling over charcoal and it smelled amazing. I got the sampler which came with one of each skewer, plus rice and salad. Really solid and filling. They had a bit of a line so be ready to wait, but it's worth it. Definitely a nice addition to the area and I'm excited to see it grow.

Look, we have to talk about the redemption arc here. San Gabriel's first attempt at a farmers…read moremarket was... rough. Not enough vendors, not enough energy, and honestly it felt like the city threw a party and forgot to invite people. It fizzled out pretty quickly, and most of us moved on. But then they tried again, and wow, did they come back swinging. Reopened April 11th of this year, and the difference is night and day. The place was packed. Great energy, tons of people, and a solid lineup of vendors that actually made you want to stick around and spend money. But the real stars? The pop-ups. There are some genuinely cool bakeries and unique drink vendors that give this market a personality of its own. The kind of thing you don't always find at your standard Saturday market. Is it perfect? I'd love to see more produce vendors, fruits and veggies are still a bit sparse. At this point I'd put it right up there with Alhambra and Pasadena, which is saying something. We'll definitely be regulars going forward. Hoping the city keeps the momentum and brings in even more pop-ups and produce vendors because the foundation is clearly there now.

The highlight of this place is Alexander's Meats. Within the market are prime cuts of meat. Everything from dry-aged beef, poultry, lamb, A5 Wagyu, and seafood is available. You will also see that much of their inventory is from Harris Ranch. The deli onsite also has hot foods, deli sides, sandwiches, and BBQ. Inquire about catering options for all your needs. The Service is top rate, and certainly exemplary of what markets were before.

COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. Lots of parking spots for you to choose from. This small, family owned supermarket doesn't get busy, so you shouldn't have a problem with parking. The spots are also pretty big. Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. The aisles are wide too. You have a variety of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from. They also have a cute and small bakery inside the grocery store. A favorite of mine is their banana cream pie. Their coconut cream pie is dope too. They have a very nice fresh produce, deli, meat and seafood section. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.
