My wife just took our son in here, to get a treat. My wife is to nice to complain, or not to purchase the tainted drink. I'm not nice so here it goes. The girl at the counter had on, no gloves and was touching her face the whole damn time. Covid or not, that is ridiculous. I would've said something and not bought the damn thing. My wife bought it, only to throw it away. She didn't want my son to drink it. So there she was with a bummed out kid and $8 less. It's been awhile since we came here, and this will be the last time also. It's sad that people, Can't even have common respect for themselves or others. I guess that's just the country we live in today. read more

Hidden gem - literally hard to find especially in the dark. Located directly across from the exit of the McDonald's drive through and right next to a hair salon- the store front is very narrow. Workers inside are super nice and let's you try as many flavors as you want with generous sample sizes. Ended up sharing a waffle bowl with three scoops of ice cream and was stuffed. Nice and creamy ice cream- really enjoyed the blackberry cheese. The pine nut and Nutella flavors are also good. read more

Very disappointed in the amount of fruit I got in my fruit cup, extremely disappointed... very saddening I hope everyone else gets at least what's a decent portion for the prices payed. No bueno! I wish employees also had name tags, I'd definitely name the worker. Step your game up please. read more

Best ice cream in Santa Rosa.. I'd even say it rivals Screaming Mimi's in Sebastopol. The ice cream here is just as fresh as Screaming Mimi's, but the flavors here range from simple, decadent to exotic, while Screaming Mimi's is more gourmet and seasonal. A few of my favorite flavors include: rose petal, banana chocolate chip, mamey, Ferrero-Rocher, chongo zamorano, and rum raisin. I also love the avocado and watermelon fruit bars. There are so many fun, unique flavors to try here. Like where else can you get tequila flavored ice cream? They let you split your scoops into multiple flavors, so I definitely recommend going wild trying the different flavors. The staff here is always super sweet as well. So glad we have this in Rincon Valley. read more

Not sure how this place has 5 stars. A group of 4 of us went here for ice cream tonight and the service was SO terrible. We went in at about 8pm and the place wasn't busy at all. There were 3 people working but it took a good ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us standing at the counter. When we finally got someone to help us, she took one order for a milkshake. She started making it, which is great. Meanwhile.. two other girls behind the counter were just standing around looking bored and asked us if we needed anything else? Huh? I said yea.. there are 3 more of us that need to order. One of us asked to try a flavor, she gave it to us.. then walked away. They walked up again and asked if we needed anything else. At this point only one of us had still been able to order. The other two girls weren't helping anyone, or doing anything else at all while we were just waiting to order. It took forever but we finally were able to order our scoops of ice cream in an empty shop. The ice cream was fine but nothing special. Honestly it was bazaar. The people I was with were really put off by it too. We live near this place and none of us will be back because the service was so bad. read more

Let me first say - I'm not a fan of ice cream or sweets in general. I am, however, married to a great guy with a huge sweet tooth. So I stopped into Fru-ta based on Yelp reviews to pick up a treat for the hubby and was just blown away. It's a spotless and friendly shop with aguas frescas, smoothies, paletas, yogurt, and ice cream in an amazing array of flavors. On my first visit I brought home servings of coconut and cheese ice cream, plus paletas in watermelon, tamarind, and arroz con leche. My husband came along on the next visit, so it was take-home pints of pinon, cheese, and chongo zamorano. If you're thinking 'wow that all sounds so weird!' don't be put off. There are plenty more delicious flavors that aren't quite so exotic. Think Nutella, rum raisin, oreo cookie, strawberry cheesecake, and more. How good is it? Well this non-fan of ice cream stuffed herself silly on every visit. Delicious. read more

The flavors here are exceptional! The coconut popsicle tasted like biting into a soft, fresh coconut, and the pico de gallo popsicle was very unique, like a fruity salsa that's not too sweet. The vibe of the restaurant has no pretense (it seems to be where many locals go), and the service was very attentive. It can get hot in Santa Rosa: this is the perfect place to cool off! read more

I love this place! It offers many yummy healthy desserts such as the bionico. It has about 2 cups of fruit added with granola and a sweet milk and coconut flakes. Very delicious and satisfies my sweet tooth in a healthier way. The staff is alwats friendly in all 3 locations. The flavor options are far more interesting than any other ice cream place. From peanut butter chocolate chip to blackberry cheese, there's something for everyone. If you want to have a choice between ice cream or frozen yogurt, they have both options. Hubby was craving some frozen yogurt, so we decided to try Fru-ta. However, they only have about 4 frozen yogurt flavors and the rest (and lots of it) is ice cream. I tasted the Italia Chocolate and I really liked it because it had small chips of Ferrer Rocher chocolate in it. And the chocolate had intense flavor as well. The tequila flavored ice cream was flavorful, although a bit odd for me. Only complaint is that the store is quite chilly inside and the music is way too loud. read more

So many CHOICES here!! Flavors I wouldn't not have considered to be ice cream prior to coming here, like pine nut, avocado, cheese or tequila. As a first timer I had to try a double scoop of tequila and pineapple coconut ice cream An absolute creamy delight and well worth the exercise!!! read more

Always very very clean, 90% of the time the staff is polite.. Every now and then you get the rude one who complains about giving you samples, but how else do the kids know what they want if they have never been there before? Whats the point of samples if the staff is fussy? read more

Nice shop and a huge selection of ice cream, sorbets and fruit bars. I had a chocolate chip peanut butter ice cream cone which was good (much better flavor than the straight up chocolate chip) and the other was mint chocolate chip-not many chips (several bites with no chips) and a little heavy on the sugar. About $3 for single scoop cones. Double scoops were about $4.25 each. Would not necessarily go out of my way for the ice cream but will come back for a try at the sorbet or fruit bars. Clean place with tables on the patio too. read more

I have visited the other location on Stony point Bellevue shopping center. I used to live in that subdivision.Anyway my daughter just informed me of this new location*I was on my way to work and stopped by to visit her,so we just decided to go at the spur of the moment.inside was super clean and there were two young girls working ,both were very sweet .we picked up 2 comes one scoop cups and a cone to go .it was $7.50 not bad. Not only was the staff friendly and helpful, she was also very patient with us. She offered us samples and details on specialty items. We got the mangonade and cherry vanilla milkshake. The milkshake was perfect and went down very smooth. The mangonade is a shaved ice masterpiece of spicy and sweet. Mango with chilli! Amazing!!! I meant to write this review a while ago but I just remembered. About a month ago, my husband and two of my kids went into this place for the first time. (Well, my first time.) I immediately noticed how clean it was. Like, spotless. The two girls working were both super friendly and engaging. They let my daughter sample a few different flavors before she finally decided on one. We were the only people in the store and the girls continued talking to us until we left instead of just waiting on us and moving on. Great place. Awesome employees. Definitely going back. read more

Hands down best ice cream in Sonoma county! Off the beaten path but worth a trip. So many unique flavors and the ice cream bars are awesome! Lots of speciality drinks and fruit concoctions. I sampled a few flavours and settled on pistachio (always my go to). It was amazing! I got two scoops which was a bit too much for me considering how fresh and rich the ice cream is. I am addicted to the Mangonadas. When I first tried it I took a bite and "was like" ew, weird. Then I took another and another and now I will go way out of my way to get to a Frut-a. I am sad they don't sell the plain yogurt anymore because I loved it with strawberries but apparently there was low demand. The two locations I have visited are super clean with very nice and helpful servers. There are all sorts of amazing and unique flavor combos. I love the cucumber palletas! They also have traditional ice cream so there is a little something for everyone. read more

The price-to-enjoyment ratio is way off! Their "sips are better with a snack" gimmick sounds cute until you actually try the breakfast sandwich that cost $5 and looked and tasted like it should have come from a dollar menu. Seriously you're ok serving this? Somehow it was much smaller and worse tasting than the similar breakfast sandos at McDonald's or Starbucks, which is saying something. The smoothie was chocolate and peanut butter, which should be an automatic win, yet it also managed to be underwhelming, especially for a $10 (medium) drink. Overall, much to be desired. I guess when you take the juice out of Jamba Juice, you're left with... just Jamba. :(
