They have a huge variety of garlic products including salsas, hot sauces, pickled vegetables, etc, plus dried fruits, candies, and produce. I will say their produce is pretty good though not as cheap/amazing as some of the more casual farm stands. But they do have bathrooms here, which can make a huge difference on a road trip! Also they stock a ton of different sodas and energy drinks. I have never made it for the barbecue they serve on the weekends, but I think this is a good place to grab a snack or do a pit stop off 101.

Overall a surprisingly pleasant experience. I recommend stopping here for fresh fruits at reasonable prices, and, if you badly need to do number 1, try their port-a-potty... there are limited options on 152 between highway 5 and gilroy.

The tomato and melon offerings in the summer are great, and the autumn stuff, like squash, radishes, kale, chard, etc. are also go-to picks for us. The fresh herbs are lovely and cost around $1.25 for a decently-sized bunch. We also get their fennel to slice it razor-thin in our mandolin or toss it in vegetable soups spiked with brown miso paste. Great stuff! The Happy Boy crew also won the San Mateo Halloween costume contest this year, which was a lot of fun. Saturday mornings at the College of San Mateo parking lot is the hottest ticket in town!

I was told the shipping department was not there but I would get a call back. They never called back. I emailed and never heard from them. About a month after I placed my order I submitted a dispute with my bank. They issued a temporary credit. Then, I received part of my order a few days later, NOT the whole thing. I just got a note from my bank saying the merchant said they did send me the order, so I am now being charged for the full amount. Years ago, this place used to be great. Not anymore.

We arrived about an hour before closing and there were only a few other people picking cherries. We walked up and were told what to look for and what cherries to avoid. We were handed bags and told how far on the property we could venture. The price was around $6.99 a pound. It's more expensive than the store for bing cherries, but you can't beat the quality, freshness and supporting a family business. We picked cherries for about 20 minutes and of course took the opportunity to take some pictures. We picked about a pound and a half and were on our way. This was a great quick stop and we had a healthy snack on our road trip. I would recommend stopping if you are in the area.
