Just got to try this place out and I do like it. Note: this is not for the timidly bearded people out there, lol. You WILL be wearing some of this. I like that they have limited choices and that they do taste good together. I got the Silly Rabbit on a cone. I think I did the smart thing because it comes with a drip cup (if that's what it's called), and it's definitely my favorite. That cereal mil core is a great surprise. My wife got the Puffy in a cup and she liked it a lot. I'm not a big fan of the peanut butter core, but it works well. It's definitely more drippy since it doesn't have a drip cup attachment, so keep a few napkins ready. The lobby is nice, clean and I like the furniture. My only moly thing Is recommend would be to have a order here sign or something to point out where to go once you get inside. Again, the limited choices are excellent, you don't want to get confused on what to do whe you are in line, keep it simple!!! Can't wait to try their upcoming rotating flavors.
Ridiculously attractive space in Westport KC that is usually filled with attractive people. Instagram-able moments galore and the soft serve creations are good. A limited menu that might shorten the wait time for a usually indecisive date for the win. Tell ya what else is golden about this place is it has it's own designated parking spots. Of course the kind staff are also attractive. So hey, just broke up and need that revenge photo of you living your best life, this could be the place. You could also do it for yourself after a summer evening stroll, maybe after dinner, or this could be dinner, TREAT yo self!

I went with the cookie crumbles, but substituted the vanilla soft serve for the vegan toasted coconut. The soft serve itself was good, but nothing that was amazing or brag worthy. I got mine in a cup, but the cup was TINYYYY ... I guess to make the presentation pop. However, I found it to be a burden with it overflowing and the potential mess. Their menu is super limited, but I think it had something for all ice cream lovers. The price is set at $5.95, for all items. The space itself is bigger than most ice cream shops with inside and outside seating areas. They had about three people working and they were all friendly! Now would I go back, probably not. Its just not the best ice cream in town.
Frozen gold looks excellent from the outside. Unfortunately, the ice cream fell flat. I got the Cookie Monster, and the cookie dough tasted funny. It was hard to eat and melted quickly. I was very excited to try Frozen Gold but left wanting more. The staff was friendly!
We were really excited to try Frozen Gold and we walked there on a hot day. It did not meet our expectations. The ice cream was already melting when they handed it to us, and it was pretty expensive. For a spot that looks like it specializes in Instagram-friendly dishes, these weren't it. The service was a little odd too. The girl started to explain the menu to us and how their options work, but she was very quiet and hardly audible. When we were ready to order, they weren't engaged and were pretty judgy when we didn't understand how ordering works.
A huge pile of soft serve, you can't go wrong with that. The Oreo Crumble is covered in Oreo crumbs and 4 pieces of cookie dough on top. The center of the mount is filled with hot fudge. It took three of us to finish it.
Tried Frozen Gold as a visit was offered as a part of a Yelp Elite experience. We went on a Sunday and it was easy to find close parking. They have both indoor and an outdoor seating area. The menu is a small one and the items are pretty decadent. We had the Cookie Crumbles and the Basic B. As the name implies, the Basic B was a simpler option...a dipped cone with a caramel core, sprinkled with sea salt. Look at the Cookie Crumbles! It doesn't get much more decadent than that! It was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to end a meal with a stop here or come back solely for a sweet treat. The place was clean and staff were very friendly.

This place is in Westport and a part of the chain out of Denver that owns snooze and the Denver biscuit company and a pizza place (can't recall the name). They are all Virtually attached to each other (except snooze). I was offered A free menu item as part of an elite yelp event. We got there around 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday. At first I was confused because there were kids inside climbing all over the furniture (about 7-10 kid). Is this an ice cream shop or a McDonald's playhouse??? The young lady who was working was super nice. They have a very limited menu. I think you can customize but I'm not sure. I ordered the puffy which is supposed to have a PB core in chocolate ice cream and covered in Reesce's cereal. I expected more out of the PB core. It was just like a spoonful of PB towards the middle. My friend got the Basic B which is chocolate dipped with sea salt. We both rated it as just "ok". She said hers was like a dipped DQ cone with sea salt on it. Nothing to write home about. I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it, but wouldn't rush back
I love it! I call this soft serve taken to the next level. I have been here a few times and I get the same thing every time. I will say that this ice cream is for the adventurous that like a lot if toppings on their Ice cream, im pretty boring and basic, I have sensitive teeth so I don't like to do too much chewing when it comes to ice cream. I ordered the cookie crumble which is a vanilla soft serve, oreo crumbs, chocolate chip cookie dough and brown sugar soft fudge core.....let me break it down for you because I KNOW, that sounds like a lot for your tastebuds. The vanilla soft serve has a strip of brown sugar fudge core. Which taste like chocolate fudge but its in the middle of the ice cream...how they do it I have no idea. Then they cake oreo crumbs on the outside and its coated with the oreo crumbs so you don't even see the vanilla soft serve and keep in mind that core is in the middle of your soft serve, its a nice surprise if you forget about it and start getting to the middle. And then they take little balls of cookie dough and place it on the soft serve mound covered in oreo cookie crumbs. It does sound like a lot, but me being someone that doesn't like toppings, I absolutely loved this! You can get it in a cone or cup. Beware both options are messy so get LOTS of napkins! They do have vegan options, my friend got the Samoa Samoa. That has lots of coconut and I believe a coconut soft serve. My friend said the consistency was more like a shaved ice rather than smooth, but that is to be expected because it is vegan.

It all gels up evenly and tastes even more amazing with every bite. Very friendly service and priced very apt. Would definitely go back to explore more !!!
A brand new ice cream place in Westport with great atmosphere and decor. The ice cream and offerings itself are very trendy and I would consider it novelty. Glad I tried it but not sure I would frequent. I would prefer a much more basic scoop.
I ordered the KC exclusive flavor Ooey Gooey. It was phenomenal. They offer only one size and it's definitely more than a person can reasonably finish. Not saying that stopped me haha, I enjoyed every bite. The soft serve is delicious. Ooey Gooey had a soft core filling of caramel, which allowed for delicious flavor beyond just the outer toppings. The shop is aesthetically pleasing. They offer lots of interesting flavors. Service was friendly and professional. No complaints. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique experience.
I ordered the "gone camping" ice cream the first time it was there and there was almonds in it which made my throat itch, but that's probably my fault because when it said candied nuts on the ingredients I thought that meant peanuts. The second time I went I had the mint and chocolate item and it was amazing, the cost for 2 cones wasn't bad either. The guy that was in the shop both times I was there and was very nice and cheerful, and the interior was nice. Will go here again if ever in Kansas City.

We had dinner at Taco Naco and while sitting outside noticed there was an ice cream shop across the street. I am lactose intolerant and skeptical but wanted to stop by and see if they had any non-dairy options. I was ecstatic to find they had THREE and they were not just plain chocolate or vanilla! I ordered the Samoa Samoa sundae with coconut ice cream, vegan hot fudge and vegan caramel, rice krispies, and toasted coconut... it was divine! My husband shared it with me because it was a LOT and we just had dinner and he said he couldn't even tell it wasn't dairy. The place is such a vibe, so clean and cute, and the two people taking and making orders were super friendly. We will definitely be back!! read more

The photos of this place looked great, and when we stopped in they seemed pretty popular. However after we ordered and looked around I noticed the everyone was waiting and no one had ice cream yet. The ice-cream shop is smaller in size so 4 families with young children can fill the place up quickly. As a result, that also means when you have young children waiting, you want service to be prompt. Now the for the price, I feel like I didn't get my moneys worth. I also ordered a pint because it was only a little bit more, but at least I could take it home and enjoy later. (Which I did, tried a few days later, and was not impressed.) They also didn't have the pint we ordered in the freezer so after searching in the back we settled with a different flavor. So with kids screaming and climbing in the background (even though entertaining to watch) and mediocre ice cream this place isn't on my favorite list. read more

will i be back of courseeee this place gave me throwback vibes to orange leaf and peachwave or berry cherry with the inside decor but like 100x more retro and fun. (it isnt self serve you do go up and order) its a bit pricey like $6 for what you order but the ascetic and toppings make up for it. I tried their vegan soft serve/vegan option absolutely loved it tasted like a caramel explosion rice crispy so good!! My friend got the cookie crumbl and was in love with it too. So gooood! the portions are good for the most part I would keep the same but the cups are just so tiny it practically makes the icecream wanna come falling out. I wouldn't want the icecream portion smaller because I want to pay for what im getting but if there was like built in rims on the cup then we would be talking lol read more

I love the feel of this store. It gives me a vibe of like modern 70's (if that's even a thing). I love that the menu is limited, but even though it limited it's hard to choose which to try. I went for the cookie crumble in a cone and my husband had the Puffy in a cup. The staff was very nice. The soft serve ice cream it's self was smooth and creamy, and just plain delicious. I did enjoy the outer cookie crumb and of course cookie dough. I did not care for the fudge center though. It has the consistency of unbaked brownie batter and was very bitter. The cone seemed a little stale as well. I did appreciate that with the cone there was this drip guard, which was very needed! I did try some of my husbands. It was good, but personally I didn't care for the cereal in the ice cream. I would warn you that the dish is very small, and they pile the ice cream high. Which seems great, but it makes it hard to try and eat it. Start eating immediately as it will start to melt. I will be back to try this place again! I've been eyeballing the Basic B! read more
Such a cute ice cream shop, located in Westport! Frozen gold is "insta-worthy," fun atmosphere with neon wall signs. I'm typically not a huge fan of soft serve as I feel like it's a bit boring and there's better ice cream options. However, after trying Frozen Gold, I realized soft serve has potential if done right! I can't remember the exact name of the flavor I got except that it was the season pumpkin caramel flavor. The pumpkin flavor was perfect and the caramel filling was smooth, rich and delicious. Whether a local or visitor, be sure to add Frozen Gold to your KC ice cream bucket list! read more

Glad to have another ice cream shop around the westport/midtown area. We've been in a few times now and grabbed a few pints. The staffers are friendly and quick. So far we've tried: You're so cheesy, Cookie Crumble, Gone Campin, Samoa Samoa (vegan), and Thick Mint. I thought the you're so cheesy sounded weird, but I'm game to try anything. Glad I did - it was delicious. That caramel core is 100 and the cheese flavor is mild with a bit of saltiness. My favorite might be the cookie crumble. Anything covered in cookie dough is amazing in my book. Definitely not your basic shop and we are loving it. read more

This was my own fault, but I had inhaled my dinner earlier so the space leftover for dessert was limited. However, I am not a quitter and there's always room for dessert. This was my time at Frozen Gold so you can imagine my excitement especially for someone with a very serious sweet tooth. As I arrived to the counter, I was immediately ecstatic with their choices but their amazing choices put me in a bit of a dilemma. Luckily, the gentleman working behind the counter was very helpful with my decision and I was not disappointed. I went with the rotating option which was the pumpkin spice soft serve with gingerbread crumbles which was delicious. Once I was finished licking my bowl clean, I was already planning my next visit. I can't wait to make it back to experience more flavors. read more
If you like soft served ice cream and girls scout samoas, you have to try this ice cream place! I got their special with the coconut flakes and it tasted just like the samoa cookie. It was super good! It is a lot of ice cream though so I would suggest sharing with someone if possible. The inside of this place is very retro which makes for good photos and it is a brand new building. The presentation of the ice cream is definitely instagram worthy. read more

Very cool place to visit. The interior gave off iCarly vibes which I loved. The employees were very nice and helpful. As for the ice cream it was okay. They have very unique flavors and it was fun to try. It was decent ice cream but not my favorite. It was still fun nonetheless. Definitely good for instagram pictures. I recommend trying out this place. read more
