I ordered my scoop in a cone but I don't think they are freshly made. Regardless, this is probably the best you can get in Cork. I had pistachio gelato in a restaurant and it sucked compared to this.

Ice cream is one of my many favorite types of desserts, and since County Kerry's cows are known for producing extra rich and creamy milk, I was really excited to get extremely creamed. The shop was very bright with a simple and natural design. They had some unique flavors like Honeycomb Caramel, Dingle Sea Salt, and Irish Brown Bread. The scoopers who helped me were very friendly and let me try as many flavors as I wanted. I finally decided on getting a small size of the Dingle Sea Salt and Kieran's Cookies in a cup. The ice cream was sweet and delicate, the Dingle Sea Salt had a very light salted vanilla flavor and Kieran's Cookies were like an Irish cookies n' creme. Because of all the hype on the creamiest milk being produced from around the county, I was getting ready for a creamsplosion up my yapper, but after my first lapping, I didn't think that that my scoops were as rich and creamy as other frozen novelties I've had the pleasure of savoring. Small pork pie's pastry had some slightly overburnt and had spots, but it was crispy overall. The filling was seasoned nicely, but could use a bit more gravy or juice. The blackberry sundae with ice cream was nicely done, silky texture ice cream, sundae was rich in blackberry flavor. Other elements provide a diversity of mouthfeel, but I felt some of them were a bit of nuisance as their textures sometimes did not feel harmonized together.

They had a great selection of ice cream though, I struggled to decide between Bubblegum or Oreo flavours but went for the Bubblegum in the end which was very tasty! They also had a great range of cones from the traditional 99 cone to waffle or chocolate cones. The one things I was surprised with was they didn't have any whipped ice cream machine for 99's, but there is still plenty of other ice cream to choose from :) I will be back Visited March 2015
