Once they opened this brick & mortar spot the trailer went to become Lark Coffee which can be found in Wells Maine at Scoop Deck (since changed hands again too). Back to Reverie though, they have turned this location into such a welcoming and cozy spot! From beautifully done mural/wall art of flowers and nature to the back corner being a book lovers dream! A wall utilizing books and plants to make a great art piece with some chairs to sit and read for a while. Which my wife did exactly that! They have all the typical coffee and tea drinks you would expect plus specials including a few that rotate monthly. I went with their Honeysuckle that came with honey and pistachio syrups and it tasted amazing with the honey and pistachio being a perfect pairing. My wife went with the Hannah Banana that was banana and brown sugar. That tasted phenomenal as well! The staff were so friendly and remembered quite a few names of customers which speaks to how much people return! Also during our decently long stay here the line never fully ended and the workers kept such a friendly vibe the entire time. They provide such a great cozy space with friendly staff and drinks that will make you wanting to come back! Top notch coffee shop!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cool woman-owned coffee shop…read more I was looking for a coffee place in the area and this came up with high marks. Located on the main drag called Maine St in Brunswick, it was a cozy, welcoming space. I decided on their Earthworm latte--a delicious sweet treat featuring Oreo crumbs. I sat at the bar facing Maine st, watching the midweek traffic pass by and leisurely enjoying my coffee. It looked like a very mom- and kid-friendly space, which made sense after learning that it was a woman-owned business. A bulletin board by the front door had a bunch of flyers tacked on to it, and it seemed like a popular neighborhood hub. A cool small business worth supporting.

One of the relatively rare spaces which combines coffee/morning feel with nighttime cocktail refuge in one big room. You could chill and read or work on laptop and yet it also can be a more low key nightlifey hang at night. Excellent menu of select food items and fantastic drinks. The breakfast sandwich I got on Portuguese roll was well prepared and one of the best deals I think in Greater Portland area (please don't raise the prices cause I wrote that!). Their lattes and what not are superb. They have live jazz on Sundays during brunch time. It feels like a little slice of Portland or Cambridge MA or (name your much larger cool city) in the middle of Brunswick. I'm a fan!

Our server…read morewas friendly, attentive, and even surprised us with a complimentary glass of bubbly when we paid our tab after two drinks. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we left with a great impression. We decided to check out the bar across the street, but it wasn't our vibe, so we called it a night and walked back to The Abbey. Their patio was empty and well lit so we decided to sit there while we waited for our Uber. Our server immediately came out and told us they were closed and that we couldn't sit on the patio, promptly closing the door and shutting the light out on us. While disappointing, we understood. The part that left such a bad taste in our mouths happened next. As a group of young women, we were standing outside when a group of loud, rowdy men across the street started making us uncomfortable. We genuinely felt unsafe. We went back inside and politely asked if we could wait indoors for our Uber, explaining that we didn't feel safe outside. Instead of showing any concern, the bartender looked at us and said, "Oh, that bachelorette party? No." The bar was still full of customers, and we weren't asking to order more drinks or stay all night. We simply wanted a safe place to wait a few minutes for our ride. After how warm and welcoming they had been earlier, the complete lack of compassion in that moment was shocking. Customer service isn't just about being friendly when you're serving drinks. It's also about treating people with basic human decency when they tell you they feel unsafe. Unfortunately, our final memory of The Abbey wasn't the complimentary champagne or the great service at the beginning of the night. It was realizing that, when it actually mattered, our safety wasn't important to them.

Luckily, there were only about five people ahead of us, and the line moved quickly. The person taking our order immediately made us feel welcome. Even with a busy morning crowd, they took their time with everyone and treated each customer like they were the only one there. That kind of genuine friendliness is something you don't forget. The atmosphere is unlike any coffee shop I've been to. Every wall has something different to look at, quirky artwork, funny signs, vintage pieces, random collectibles, a mannequin dressed in sunglasses and boots, even a life-size Tom Cruise hanging out on the patio. I found myself constantly looking around because there was something interesting in every direction. One of my favorite touches was the self-serve coffee station. You grab a mug from the wall instead of a paper cup. I picked one with a cool Abraham Lincoln wearing a backwards baseball cap while sipping coffee, which perfectly matched the café's fun personality. There were several coffee choices, and I ended up trying two. Refills are available for a small fee. For breakfast, I ordered one of their brioche breakfast sandwiches with the meat of the day, which was brisket. The brisket was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the soft brioche bun. I also ordered a toasted jalapeño bagel with jalapeño shmear. It comes sprinkled with Tajín but got mine on the side. While I usually enjoy Tajín, it was just a little much for me first thing in the morning, so next time I'd ask for it without. The jalapeño shmear itself was delicious. After eating, we took our coffee outside to enjoy the patio. The colorful mural covering the building, beautiful flower pots, and relaxed seating made it a great place to sit and slow down for a while. Dog Bar Jim isn't just a place to grab breakfast, it's one of those places with real personality. Great food, excellent coffee, genuinely kind service, and an atmosphere that's fun, creative, and impossible to forget. If you're anywhere near Brunswick, it's absolutely worth the stop.

Once we got to the deli case, and got through being overwhelmed, we were able to order.. still be warned as a newbie, it is a daunting experience!!!Brides the yummy sandwiches ( honestly I was hoping for a more rustic bread than what was offered ) and salads there is an incredible selection of baked goods. My partner chose the classic brownie ( incredibly dark and rich) and I the double chocolate cupcake filled with mocha mouse( which I saved for home) the icing and mouse filling were amaaaazing but the cake itself seemed quite gritty, as though it was a " alternative," flour. In the end I was a tad disappointed in my $6.00 cupcake. All in all a decent experience and I'd probably go again, but $46 for Sammie's and dessert is a bit steep for my pocketbook.

It's wasn't until I saw someone emerge from the double doors to the left of the roll-down that I realized that the business was open. Not that they need any help getting people inside (it was HOPPING) but a sandwich board outside perhaps would show that the business is open inside? I went in and immediately everyone was friendly and chipper. Ordering was simple enough but be prepared, they sell through some things, understandably as this place is very popular. I got an espresso and a toasted herb bagel with plain cream cheese. Ive been all over Bath, Brunswick, Rockland, and Camden and was convinced that the New Englander's palates were shot. Not a single business has served me a decent espresso. Not a single one until I stopped at Dutchman's. FINALLY a bright, clean shot that doesn't taste like someone put a cigar out in it. Everyone needs to take notes. THEN we get to the bagel....didn't think I was about to have the best bagel of my life, yet here I am. Light, toasted, slightly chewy but not heavy... jeez. Can we talk about the space? It's gorgeous. Airy, cool, industrial...but the people running it make it feel homey. We can talk about the restaurant they're putting in next door too but let's be realistic, if they use any of the blueprint they're currently operating off of, they're not going to have any issues (Omg the pizza oven!) The view alone will stop you in your tracks. I'm all in on Dutchman's. I bought the merch. I have a tee shirt and a beanie and the only reason I don't have a hoodie is because they were sold out in my size. What else is there to say... 10/10 No notes.

As soon as I walked up I was bummed to see they had no egg or cheese, which is what I was planning to order. Instead, I went with the Turkey Lurkey. It's not something I'd typically order but it was delicious. It was a bit messy so eating it in the car was a mistake lol. I also got a cold brew coffee. My order was $17 for those two things, which is expensive, but the quality of the food and coffee was very good and I'd much rather give my money to this business than a large corporation like Starbucks. I saw another review give 3 stars because they are comparing their bagels to NY/NJ style bagels. I'm originally from NJ, and yes I prefer those style bagels, but that is NOT what Dutchman's is going for. These are Wood-Fired bagels, and yes they do have a more bread like texture but I thought they were delicious and made for perfect sandwich bagels. I went on a Thursday morning and there was no line so service was quick. I was in and out in about 10 mins.

The wait wasn't long and the staff was already cracking jokes and very pleasant. If it's any indication of how much the customers love this place, in line I listened as a regular was offering to bring by his own soil tiller for a barista. Got a Reuben at 7:00 in the morning and it was delightful. Very specifically, the bread was buttered and toasted perfectly and it was a great portion! The chai was also nice, very well balanced. The ambiance of the coffee shop is lovely, bright, light, some nice music, the lounge is a nice spot as well! Overall, this was a delightful start to my day, I will be back soon!

We ordered two turkey sandwiches and a tuna salad on a bagel, so nothing cooked, besides the toasted bread. While waiting about 25-30mins for our food, it got really hot inside. I looked up at the built in fans/vents in the ceiling and noticed they were filthy. I was afraid if I had asked for air to be turned on, that dust would have shot onto people's food! There was also a situation where the man behind the register needed a choice made by an elderly customer that had already taken a seat. She shouted out the answer to his question and he responded rather loud and rudely for her to "Next time come to the counter! I don't like yelling across the room!" (Or something to that extent) Whatever it was, it seemed really aggressive and unprofessional, not to mention disrespectful. The sandwiches were good, had fresh ingredients, but I'm not sure this place was throwing the right vibes for me to revisit.

Even the dishware was fun. Second trip we decided to try the high tea service. A menu of assorted teas and a prefixed food menu. My daughter made reservations and prepaid for our lunch ahead of time. We discussed price point and we believed it to be $48 a couple because who goes to tea alone? Turns out it was $41 per person. This is steep for lunch especially considering what it includes. Tea, a tower of treats; this works out to be 2- half sandwiches each (chicken and cucumber and whipped feta) a very small egg salad on 2-3 bite croissant, a scone with fixings and about 2-3 quarter sized macarons per person. This is very not nearly as generous as their daily menu portions. We had a reserved table and a waitress took our tea order from the table and delivered all items to the table except any napkins or utensils. We still needed to go get them from a centrally located area for diners. Our waitress was very sweet but obviously inexperienced and wasn't clear on how the high tea worked and it took about 40 minutes just to get the tea. Most disappointing was the bread. It was very dry and crumbly so sandwiches were falling or crumbling apart as we ate them. So as far as value is concerned, the high tea was not a good value in my opinion.
