I previously put my condo up for sale and didn't really have much luck, the pictures were dark and did not show it off to the best it could, the realtor did not really seem to care or help me out too much. I felt as though I was low on the radar. I decided to go to the google machine to see who were the top realtors in Edmonton. After looking through the top 10 I saw the information on Sara Jessie Real Estate. The photo alone drew me in to see their website as some of the others had nothing by their name. I got a really good first impression by their website and decided to contact them. I received a response before the end of the night saying Jessie would call me the next day to talk. She let me know that they specialize in condos which was great news for me as that was what I was trying to sell. We set up a time to meet and she came well prepared with a kit to help de-clutter the space. She gave great tips and was very professional while being very warm and easy to talk to. She had a professional photographer come in and take the photos within a couple days of signing the papers and the pictures were amazing! She was great at keeping in touch with me and letting me know what was going on. Tara was the contact that I had to discuss showing and such with, she was absolutely amazing as well. 100% loved working with her. My sale was not an easy one and Jessie worked hard to get me what I wanted and also try to make things as smooth as possible. It was a stressful time and she made it not as bad as it could have been. They also provide a cleaning service for when you move out so then you don't have to worry about that! What a great deal! Both of the ladies offered to help in any way they could and were just a pleasure to deal with. I did not get the chance to work with Sara but I am sure she is just as great. Hands down would recommend this group of amazing women to anyone. From sloppy contracts with vague statements to ureturned phone calls, this was by far the worst buying experience of my life. At first I thought Joe was going to do a great job by the way he presented himself, but the nastier, conceited and less professional side came out in the long run. Good thing I had a decent lawyer that sorted all of Joe's mistakes out - though it did cost me a bit more than it should have. Basically, to avoid buying or selling pains, be as well informed as you can be in the intricacies of real estate buying. Look out for your own interests, keeping in mind that agents are usually only focused on one thing ... their pay cheque. That's not to say that there aren't good agents out there, but when you pay huge dollars for their services, both as a seller and/or a buyer, you should receive top notch professional services.

Home was promised to be "move-in" ready and when tenant got there it was not in live able condition. There were stains on the walls, life size posters of different images plastered on the walls with holes and damage all over the place. Nothing was mentioned in the listing about being a "fixer upper" and when the realtor met with the moving in tenant he was extremely disrespectful. They are now refusing to give back the damage deposit after refusing to take the house in such conditions. They have every opportunity to rectify this situation.

It took 75 days to get my deposit back, (what was left of it) and they had charged me over 3,600 in miscellaneous non-sense. You are responsible for the yard up keep in their houses. They do not provide any lawn equipment but are glad to charge you over 400 dollars per month for lawn care. This a first for me. I travel all over for work and have stayed in hundreds of furnished places and never had to pay for the lawn service. Most of the time I was there the lawn was a jungle, it was so out of control the owner of the home came by and cursed me out for it. The house I was in had dog hair and urine all over the house when we moved in and had to clean most of it ourselves. They changed the method of payment during our stay, to not allowing credit cards. A major deal when you are from another country and have no access to a bank. Last they charged me for sheets at every house for every bed we slept in at 185.00 per bed? Those sheets were not that nice and there is no way we ruined every single piece of bedding. One room we were charged bedding for, no one ever slept in! I strongly urge you to not use these people, there are way better short term furnished rental company's in Edmonton that are real company's with professionals working there, that won't take advantage of you. Now I know why they charge so much for a deposit, it's because they don't plan on returning it!

The owner knows nothing about house or apartment structure, he is rude, he avoids everything, and he surrounds himself with employees just as inadequate as himself. I lived at there property over a year, and not once did anyone ever check in on the property. Even though, he promised himself that he would come by personally. He never did! STAY AWAY!!!
