Took my dog in for a swollen infected paw. Didn't know if there was something lodged in there or not. The vet who was there was very professional gave him the required shots and did an x-ray. Gave him antibiotics and pain meds and he was better in a week. She even gave me a list in case he wasn't getting better and the things that would have to happen next. read more

We moved recently, so not only was our previous clinic, the PARC, further away, but they kept raising their prices. In addition, they were so busy that the environment was very stressful for my reactive Shepherd mix. I'd passed by Frontier several times on my way home and decided to call to discuss a dental cleaning for our chihuahua mix and a sedated nail trim for the big guy. When I arrived, I popped in to make sure there weren't other dogs in the small waiting room. The coast was clear, so the receptionist put us into a room right away. The tech came in to discuss services and took each dog back one at a time to update their vaccinations. It was a little odd not to meet the vet first, but he came in after to review everything he discovered during their exams. The best news? They were able to muzzle our big dog and get the nail trim done while showering him with affection-no sedation needed. I was floored, but given the friendly demeanor of Dr. Bech, not surprised. Actually, the best news was the bill. Both dogs cost the same as one dog at our previous vet. I checked an old invoice and the leptospirosis vaccine we get annually was HALF the cost of the other clinic. I can understand the concerns around multiple vets. We had to wait a month for our appointment so that the new vet could start, but we're crossing our paws that he sticks around a while. I hope you don't let the past deter you and that you give this clinic a shot. It's no frills, for sure, but fancy or high tech comes with a hefty price tag. Good vet care should be accessible to everyone. read more

The Veterinarian told me that my 10 year old Boxer had cancer in her paw and it would cost around $1k to have it amputated. After the biopsy was taken, her paw was'nt even wrapped in gauze or a bandaid, and blood was tracked all over my truck. I went for a second opinion and it turned out to be an abscess in her paw, and not cancer. They are way too overpriced, and may misdiagnose your furr baby. Payer beware! read more

I took my 13 week German Shepherd puppy to this vet a couple of days ago and Dr. Ali and the team treated her so well. It wasn't a long appointment as we knew was with wrong with her and they were thorough with recommendations and medications. They even sent a card welcoming us. Price, not all that expensive. Visit, exam, puppy pack, and two medications...about $100. We have another appointment set up because I liked the way they treated my furry baby. read more

They suck so bad, are unprofessional and love to overcharge for basic things. Do not let your dogs get surgery here bc they will come out with messed up sutures that look like a 2 year old did them. Save your money and time and go to a real clinic. read more

Very cheap place to go if you just want the basic shots and exam. Anything more serious, I would go somewhere else. They change veterinarians so often, they don't know anything about your pets. They charged me for tests they ran on my dog that never happened, otherwise they wouldn't have misdiagnosed my dog. Saw 2 different vets and neither one ran the needed tests. read more

I have been going to this Vet for a couple years for my two dogs Bear and Bella. We have had pretty decent service with them. The building is not the cleanest or newest but the service has been ok. I personally do not think dogs need check-ups yearly but my wife does so we have gotten that done. We get their heart worm there and also shots. My wife and I are getting ready to go on a road trip in November and decided to get Bella some tranquilizers for the trip because she is just crazy anxious when we've gone in the past. It will be better for her not to have to stress the entire trip. So I call up frontier and tell them what I need. They pull Bella up in the computer and tell me it is going to be $45 for the exam plus whatever it cost for the tranquilizer. I'm thinking that an exam is not necessary as we go yearly for an exam but the woman on the phone informs me that it is indeed necessary. I go on to book the appointment for the next day. As the day progresses I continues to think about the situation and I just can't figure out why Bella needs a doctors exam for a tranquilizer when we already go yearly for an exam. There is nothing wrong with her, she is only 3 years old, so why should I pay for something she does not need. After a bit longer of thinking about the situation I decided to call another Vet in the area. The other vet I called told me the tranquilizer would be about $25 and there wouldn't be a doctors visit required if the dogs had been there prior. The lady on the phone told me that their normal doctors visit is $40 but since the dogs are fine and they only need the tranquilizers they will do a "well pet exam" for $15 since we have never been there and Bella needs to quickly be checked out. This is exactly what I was looking for. I don't know what Frontier's problem is but I don't enjoy being over charged. I've given them my business for two years but I am now going to move on. read more

This vet is VERY old school. The place is small, not extra clean. They have been around forever. We took our dog here out of convenience. The workers in the front office are very nice and helpful. There are 2 vets, the owner, Dr Stumbo, which is really nice and smart. The other guy, very condescending and a know-it-all. The prices are very reasonable based on other places, but they sure could use a tune up on equipment and cleanliness. read more

"I'm sorry but we won't treat your dogs wounds unless you have money right now to pay." first of all my dog is bleeding because my neighbour's dog broke through my fence and attacked him. hes bleeding from his neck and that's the response i get from this clinic. that is inhumane. i will never use this clinic nor will i recommend them to anyone. read more

I can't being to say how disappointed I was with this vet. We took our dog in last week because she was drooling, lethargic and swelling and they told me she "probably" had an infection. They never did blood work, threw medication at us and took a crummy xray that didn't even show every angle of her stomach (which was hard). Two days later I brought her back because she was swelling in new areas they tried to say she was stung by a hornet...in 20° weather. When I tried to explain that even getting her outside was a chore because she was so lethargic they brushed me off, told me if was the only reasoning for her swelling, and threw more medicine at me. They still didn't take labs, they only treated me and my dog like we were inconveniencing them. Two days later we brought her to a different vet because she was still swelling worse and in different areas. They were shocked by the quality of xrays and lack of labs. After taking a biopsy we have found that our girl has large cell lymphoma. I waisted almost $400 at this vet and all they did was line their pockets while making us feel like garbage. Don't go here if you value your fur babies because they don't listen and only throw medicine (EXPENSIVE meds they keep in house without offering to call them in to a pharmacy) your way. It's disgraceful. read more

Super friendly staff and very great prices. Dr. Walkup is great with our cat and our dog. It's a small clinic but the staff seem very knowledgeable and love the animals that come in to see them. read more

When Dr. Stumbo ran this clinic, you were in the hands of a vet who truly cared about your animal and you. Now that he has sold it to a younger doctor, this place has gone totally downhill. Now you are just a dollar sign when you walk in the door. The caring that was once given to my pet, along with the love for animals, has now turned into just another way to make money. Since the vet was bought from Dr. Stumbo, it has gone completely down hill. From raising prices to not giving a prescription to go get meds for our animals at a lower cost. They completely alienated their core customers that they received when they bought it from Dr. Stumbo. read more

I just wanted to say thanks to the Frontier Veterinary Hospital staff. The new staff seems so knowledgeable and I was happy to learn they are able to do surgery now instead of referring me to a more expensive specialty clinic. They are so compassionate with my pets, and though not the fanciest place around, I feel totally comfortable with the care they provide read more
