They sent me an invoice for 1 at $250, which seemed like a flat rate, which is how plumbers prefer to get paid because it is effectively a higher bill rate. I called to clarify the bill and Sean called me back after about a week. He seemed peeved from the start that he had to talk to me. I asked about the time and materials vs the flat fee and he said, "Oh well it took 2 hours and the pipe was $50." Which may be true but seemed very convenient. I told him the tenant said they were only there for 20 minutes. He raised his voice and said they must have gone to the store to get piping, which was true. He then raised his voice more and said "You told me you would pay and you better." I said, "Let's dial it down, Sean, you sent me a bill with incorrect details and I am sorting it out." He said, "You better pay and that's it. Give me your credit card right now." I was driving in the snow and hung up on him. I paid the bill when I got home. Sean, if you would be more careful with your paperwork, then none of this would have happened. Yell that at yourself or your staff instead of losing your cool with customers. I own 3 homes in the area and I need a new water heater. I called another plumber. You should too.

A lot of companies say they're open 24/7 but a lot of them couldn't get us until Monday or later. B&L was able to send a tech out Sunday morning. The weekend trip rate is $139. Nate came out and was able to get our hot water working but the valve needed replacing and so did another older pressure valve connected to the city line. Instead of charging us weekend fees they were able to schedule is on Monday for regular rates and no additional trip fee. Regular M-F trip fee is $89. All work is trip fee plus the repair. Rick showed up on Monday and rock starred the repairs. According to my plumber friend their rates are reasonable so we'll be saving them for any future work.

Technician wants to cut a hole in the wall behind the shower to try to get into the pipes another way, for another $400+. They cut into my wall and find that the piping isn't what they expected and they can't find the vent pipe they were looking for. Thankfully the extra $400+ charge was cleared from the invoice, but I'm told they'll need to run back to the office after taking pictures and alluded to the need for a complete removal of the enclosing shower walls to take out the shower pan. Said they'll call me back to go over the next steps. A week goes by and I've heard nothing. After spending more than $300 and *still* having to put up with a clogged shower drain, I try taking matters into my own hands again. One pump with a plunger, and the clog is gone. Wish I'd tried that before I asked for a plumber to come by. The pricing isn't outrageous and the technician was polite, but the lack of follow-up for what turned out to be a simple fix has cemented a poor experience.

I do NOT recommend this company for any job, large or small…read more Some examples include leaving a hole in the ceiling after they decided they were not capable of installing a ceiling fan. Installing weather stripping backwards and short, leaving gaps inches long- when I told them it was not the correct length and installed incorrectly, they removed it and then left the job without fixing it, leaving NO weather stripping on my front door during wind and SNOW. Painted baseboards and left blue tape everywhere, like they just peeled it off but didn't make sure it was all off the walls, paint droppings on floor. Hired to fill small nail holes. Painted over with five to six inches swipes of paint, NOT bothering to make sure the paint matched first, so now I have big blotches of miss-matched paint everywhere they "fixed" a nail hole. Installed a front storm door that was clearly too small and didn't latch, then said they would try to Jimmy it to make it latch, when there were two inch gaps in the metal frame, obvious to ANYONE the door was too small. Did not clean up on day one, after they said they wouldn't be back for a week, leaving dirt, paint, dry wall, dust all over the floors, furniture, and nails and hardware on the floors in multiple rooms. This is a house I live in. Did not cover ANY furniture or use drop cloths or plastic while the were "working." Charged $80 plus an hour to have their teenage children doing the work. Installed a bathroom cabinet door such that it would only open two inches. Got paint on a piece of art my brother got me 30 years ago. I could go ON and ON and ON. Nothing was done right. They then abandoned the job, accusing me of being hostile, when I literally sat in my office all day while they fixed their bad work. I have pictures and video of all the above and MORE. I know other people who have had issues also, unfortunately I learned this after the fact. I have had to hire someone else to finish their shoddy work.
