I have had a fair amount of experience with dermatologists and found Dr. Gray and her staff to be better than the rest. Everyone I encountered was warm, welcoming, and helpful. Ok, is this place a joke? I went in for an actual skin problem, (not cosmetic stuff). Isn't she a dermatologist? After waiting about 40 min, her rude and annoyed nurse who can use some people skills lessons, takes me to a room. Very rudely asks a few questions, without even looking at my face writes some answers down and leaves. I could not believe the attitude from her, shouldn't I give her attitude for being 40 min late? Anyway, when the dr. DeEtta Gray finally decides to show up, she spends, I kid you not, 5-10 minutes with me. Very annoyed also, didn't care at all about any of my concerns, prescribed some face wash and TONS OF stuff I don't need. How do you prescribe things to patients so negligibly without hearing their concerns first? And her and the rude nurse left the room. My mouth remained open in shock, since she came in so fast, talked so fast and left without letting me ask anything. It looks like she is only interested in making money through BOTOX or selling you prescription cr*p.. DO NOT GO TO HER. She looks sneaky and I wouldn't trust her with any part of my body! read more

I've been a patient of Dr DeEtta for a few years - she did a fantastic job with treating my skin problems. However, I recently got billed for a no show charge for an appointment which I cancelled prior - and according to them they didn't receive any notice from me. It is not my fault that the office staff was trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible - and now I'm liable for it? This frustrates me as they clearly emphasize on the business (money making) rather than building a relationship with their patients. Went there for a free consult- Dr Gray was nice & knowledgable. She didn't take any magnifying or close look at my skin which I thought at the time was weird she just looked at me from abt 3ft away & talked abt the two acne creams she was going to prescribe. But, I used the two & the acne cleared up great so i guess she had just seen enough cases like mine to not dive deeper which is no problem for me if we were able to fix it. While in my consult, she told me I also needed to get acne surgery/pimple extraction. She said there was no reason not to do it because insurance covers the whole thing as it is for medical purposes not cosmetic. I was shocked insurance covered it so I remember specifically discussing that fact for several minutes. I went ahead with her recommendation for the acne surgery. It was painful, & prob unnecessary to have someone pop my pimples for me. But I had a follow up appointment with her that lasted maybe 5 mins & I was on my way with my skin looking better. To my surprise, a couple weeks later i received a large bill. I called to have the charges clarified for me & was told they were solely for this "acne surgery". I tried to explain that my frustration was about being told so confidently that it would be covered & make the decision on that basis & then get charged. The billing manager told me I was stupid for not understanding how my deductible works & that it wasn't their problem. Obviously I'm not going to meet a deductible on a free consult so why would anyone tell me it was completely covered by insurance? Even when I went to pay my copay at the front no one said hey by the way we're going to be billing you. Regardless, I get miscommunications can happen. Mainly I'm shocked that I called to get clarification, I stayed calm, respectful, & really quite understanding. The billing manager was rude, cut me off, talked down to me, & ended the conversation by telling me he would write the charge off but no longer take me as a patient. I've never been treated this way in any professional office & although I liked Dr. Gray, their front office ruins everything about patient care because of how the talk to patients. I would have reconciled paying the money if I had been talked to with some simple respect. read more

I went in for my consultation appt and the office's dirty appearance and smell and staff that did not even say hello to me made me turn around and leave before signing in. I called the next day to explain what happened. The woman at the office said she was sorry and would not charge me a "no show fee". Well, guess what...they did charge me instead of apologizing. So, I will send them their money and tell you all not to use them ever. There are other great places in this area. Find a different one. read more

The staff at Pinnacle is so warm, nurturing and attentive to every request. Dr. Gray really knows her stuff! Our family has been going for years for all skin concerns from acne to moles and have been very happy with the care and customer service. But when I needed help with psorasis, Dr. Gray stopped at nothing to get it under control. The nurses worked overtime with my insurance company to clarify benefits for my medications. Communication is horrible. When I came in for my consult Dr. Gray strongly recommended radiesse for my skin. She said it would be cheaper, last longer and the results would be better for the deep facial lines around my mouth. She said one syringe would be enough for the lines around my mouth. But, when I came in for my procedure she said I wouldn't be happy with the results of one syringe and that I would need two for better results. I was there and I agreed to this although I was upset that things changed from what she said at my consult. After everything was done and I went to pay, the cost was more than I expected even when I added the second syringe and subtracted the coupon specials. When I questioned her she said that was the cost of radiesse, I used juvederm. " I asked why did you change your thoughts and why didn't you tell me? I'm sure juvederm is a fine product, but I had fully expected radiesse after my consult with you." What is the point of a consult?. Also, I was told that the consult fee would be put toward the procedure, but when I asked about that they said it would only apply if you have the procedure immediately following the consult. read more

II was recommended to see Dr. Gray from a dermatologist that I trusted for years . I called the front desk to ask the price to remove my veins, she told me 75.00 so I made my appt. when I arrived Dr. Gray came in and right away started telling me about face fillers and said everyone does it and if I would like to have some I said no I'm not into that so she seemed very upset that I did not want to have this done then she zapped my face several places even places that I did not ask her to zap. I was so shocked and upset how she handled the procedure very abrasive and not kind at all I almost left crying when I went to pay my bill the gal says that will be 400.00 I said what I called and was told 75.00 I do not have insurance and was not happy how everything went she said sorry that's the cost I paid and left very upset I was badly bruised not sure if that's normal or not but what Dr, Gray really wanted was for me to spend even more money than my veins to be removed . I have seen her for along time, on my last visit she gave me a shot of Hydrolaise at no charge, in addition yesterday I woke up with a swollen chin, had red infection on it (No relation to any procedures it was just a injury I had), I was cold with fever, felt terrible, called and said "I'm in a semi-emergency situation, can I see Dr. Gray today please", her staff ROCKS, they didn't bother me with a million questions, no they just said "How about 1:45", imagine that, a same day appointment because they CARE, she examined me, gave me some anti-biotic samples to save me money, and the visit was gratis, THAT is the kind of Doctor she is, so if you listen to any of these whiners you are making a big mistake, Dr. Gray is THE BEST, reminds me of those old fashioned doctors, doctors these days want to charge you just to say "Hi", no her, she did that yesterday out of the goodness of her heart, saved me a trip to the ER, so when I read these moron complaining whiners it makes me very angry. Office is professional, but I don't recommend going to this place that focuses on making profit and not having good customer service or understanding of the clients' situation. 1) Noted in my bills that the office bills higher than "maximum allowable or contracted /legislated fee arrangement", then I was billed for the extra they wanted. I've come across several private profit focused physician offices that charge way above agreed on fees for a specific procedure to make more money(even when the procedure was covered by my insurance, they still billed me for it!). I don't think this practice is right. And I never received a upfront notification that I would be billed more, which I think I should have right to know before I agree to a procedure. 2) Also noted, (I don't doubt her expertise) Dr. Gray has significant arthritis in both hands(but I was trusting she was practicing safely), however, one procedure I had wanted to remove a small cyst and ended up w an enlarged keloid and scar 3 times the size it was before. I'd never had a large keloid like this from other procedures to excise abmormal tissue from my previous dermatologist where I moved from in Michigan. Wasn't sure if it was because of the one large stitch that bunched up the skin. Really disappointed because it is at a noticeable location. If you want to have more precise excisions and stitches, you need to find another dermatologist. 3) Very frustrated w an incident of poor customer service and understanding. I had gotten caught in crazy rain and stuck in a traffic accident (which is so unpredictable in the metro Seattle area!!) that was doubling my travel after dropping my child off as early as they allowed to school and was going to be a few minutes late, so out of courtesy (I also work in the medical profession and understand frustrations of a late appointment, but also am sensitive to those not intentional in being late), they told me if I was going to be late she won't see me and not to come in. I was surprised, I said I was ok for a shortened time w physician and I only need to get stitches removed. But they just told me I can reschedule. So I said ok. Then 30 min later when I had turned around in traffic, i got a call that I would be charged $150 for no showing/canceling my appointment. I told them, if they had told this to me. I would have tried to get there despite the traffic And not turned around. they had no understanding! Most facilities offer a one time grace for people who don't have a habit of coming in late (which I had not been late before). I also don't recall signing anything that indicates that I would be charged this much ($150) for something that I was encouraged to do! read more

THIS DOCTOR IS AMAZING!!! For about the past year or so I have wanted botox and some fillers in certain areas on my face pretty badly. I called around and had many consults. I wanted to remain youthful, but not so bad that I would find the first deal and have him shoot my face up pronto! No! I wanted to take my time, do my research, and get a feeling from each doctor during the consult. My main concern was: Did they care about me and my needs or just about making money? I'm only in my 20's, I know I don't need a lot. But did these doctors know I didn't need a lot? I couldn't believe what some of these clinics were telling me I needed (botox, juvederm, restylene) how much of it I needed (30+ units of botox), and how much it was going to cost (way more than i could afford!!!) Until I found Pinnacle and Dr Gray. I walked in with yucky under eyes circles, forehead wrinkles, and some smile lines. ALL that I wanted GONE. She asked me questions and she listened to me while I spoke....What I love about Dr Gray is that she is so conservative. She didn't tell me I needed 50 units of botox just for a few wrinkles in my forehead!! She didn't recommend 2-3 syringes of filler for my face. She gave me a little bit of botox in my forehead. Then she treated my under eyes and smile lines with ONE syringe!! I couldn't believe it! All these places had told me I needed at least 2 (2-3 maybe 4) and here she is making me look years younger with one syringe. Oh you bet I walked out of there with a smile. My husband will smile too: I'm a better sight for sore eyes AND I didn't burn a hole in his pocket! I met with a friend an hour later for dinner and she stares at me for a good minute before she asks me why I look so different. I can't stop smiling and tell her what I just did. She says, "Oh! She has helped us navigate everything from teenage skin problems to concerns about sun damage. Dr. Gray and her staff keep meticulous records and after being a patient for several years, she knows what is normal for my skin and what might be concerning. Dr. Gray has been my dermatologist for about 4 years. When I got married, I brought my husband to see her, too. She is professional, listens carefully to my concerns, prompt, and courteous. I have never seen her rude to me or any of her office staff. In fact, the staff is usually smiling and laughing when I come in. Absolutely the worst doctors office I've ever used. Assistants/Nurse were rude and didn't know what they were talking about. Was told to take more iron (no specific dosage or brand) for border line low ferritin levels. Come back in 6 months. I asked for blood work to be sent to me and saw that other levels were low also. Tried calling back for clarification questions and was told that everything was all ready discussed with me and that if I had more questions I had to make a 15min appointment. Really?! You provide barely any instructions and didn't review the entire blood work results, and refuse to answer follow up questions? I've never received such bad service from any doctor's office. I have to say that after my experience with Dr. DeEtta Gray, I will be looking for a different dermatologist. I came to her for some facial acne flare ups that I wanted to take care of. I also wanted to ask her why all of sudden my skin was behaving this way. Right from the beginning of the consultation, she seemed to have a very bad mood (she acted as though seeing a patient was a giant burden on her). She looked at my face for maybe 5 seconds (and keep in mind, she didn't closely inspect it or use those large microscopes like most dermatologists use. She literally glanced at my face) and told me she was writing me a prescription. I wanted to know more information, as well as what my other options were, which seemed to just annoy her. She told me, or should I say, barked at me, that this was my only option and that was it. I am going to get a second opinion next week with another derm. about the medication and hopefully will actually get some questions answered this time.
