Provided insurance information before appointment. Came in for mole and within 30 seconds was sent to a plastic surgeon after waiting an hour for the appointment. I used to go here years ago. Had an unknown bump on back of the head that I could not see, so decided to get back in the books as a current patient. Waste of time and money. Dr said go home and put some cortisone cream on an infected hair follicle. I said if infected, can you remove the infection and clean since I cannot see the back of my head. NOPE. I decided to ask a PA friend to look at, embarrassing yes, but very upset with the treatment or lack there of. Huge blackhead, yuck yuck, she removed and cleaned with soap and astringent. Gone a day later. I will find a new dermatologist since if this is what you get for something simple, no way I want help with other treatments. read more

I had some anxiety about needles, and worried results not being what I wanted -- I have friends who've had it overdone or a droopy effect and frankly it scared me to not do Botox. Dr. Gray is incredible, no other way to describe it! Due to early detection and immediate action it is possible she saved my life. I went in for a routine skin check and she found a small suspicious spot in the middle of my upper back - which she then sent off to a lab. On Monday, she called and told me I had melanoma cancer. On Tuesday she removed the cancer and sent the skin sample back to the lab. On Friday she called and said the lab verified that it was completely removed. I just went in for a 6 month follow up check and everything looks good. Because this was a very little spot, and located in the middle of my upper back, it is highly unlikely I would have ever noticed it until it progressed to a more severe, possibly fatal, stage. Not only do I highly recommend doctor Gray (and am very grateful for her work), but I also recommend others to get a regular skin check as a precaution. read more

Went here for skin cancer concerns. Was told all issues were cosmetic and not covered by insurance. Had the procedure done and paid 100% of bill myself. A few months later, I got a bill for a copay amount from my insurance company. Seems this office billed both me AND my insurance company. Stinks of fraud and took many months to resolved. I resisted Botox but decided to try a few treatments after consulting with the Dr. I didn't want to look overdone, or unnatural but I'm in my mid 50's and felt I needed a slight boost. She didn't mention this over phone at all. She did mention that if I don't show up there's gonna be a fine but being just 5 minutes late ..... The only good thing about Pinnacle is the ease of making appointments. You're quickly in and out with the doctor. If you're in a rush, the doctor is too and that can be great. If you want a more personal feeling, you're not going to get it here. I also had issues resolving billing disputes. Whenever I ask questions about how they determined to use specific codes, which I feel strongly to be wrong, their only response is, "we did not under or over bill you." Also, they have taken 20+ days to respond to my inquiries. I've tried sorting it out with my insurance and I'm just rerouted back to Pinnacle to resolve the issue. It's been frustrating to say the least, especially when I'm just trying to understand why I'm being charged for time I wasn't actually with the doctor. Additionally, I don't think my concerns were heard when discussing my medical issue. The doctor kept pushing "solutions" with severe side effects despite me bringing up valid concerns about those side effects. I felt like she wasn't really listening to me and she had already decided on my behalf the side effects were worth it. I prefer my visits to be more of a conversation where we can discuss all options and side effects, then I can choose which solution fits best for the risk I'm willing to take. Ultimately, I ended up going to a different dermatologist. Based on this customer service experience, I would not go back to Pinnacle. read more

Several members of my family have seen Dr. Gray, and I don't hesitate to recommend her! My daughter had some bumps around her eye that required removal as a toddler. She had to be sedated, so we needed to be very comfortable with her physician. Dr. Gray did a fantastic job and they healed perfectly. Now I see her for my annual checkups. We had an ok experience with Dr. Gray. My daughter was put on accutane for severe acne and Dr. Gray said she would be on it for only 3 months bc of how strong the medication is and the danger involved being on the medication for a longer period of time. After being on it for 5 months my daughter had a small break out so Dr. Gray advised to continue the treatment. I was a little wary bc I know stress and menstrual cycles can also affect the break outs. I took my daughter to her pediatrician for her regular check up and she advised to get her off of the medication immediately bc of the side effects and danger of being on the medication for more than 5 months. Dr. Gray disagreed but we decided to go with the pediatrician's advice. Glad we did as her skin was perfectly fine when we stopped the medication. read more

Good Derms seem to be so hard to find (and keep)!! I've been with Pinnacle Dermatology & Skin Rejuvenation for almost 2 years now, and am very pleased. Making appointments is easy, staff is polite and pleasant, location is convenient and Dr Gray really knows her stuff. I have been to 3 other premier dermatologists in the Bellevue area in the past 15 years, and Dr Grey has the best blend of medical knowledge to treat my skin cancer and other medical issues, and the latest aesthetic procedures. My only complaint (the only reason I don't give 5 star) is the procedures and products are very expensive and most are not covered by insurance. This is not a fault of Pinnacle-- Dr Grey's prices are competitive in the local market. But, still, I'd like to see prices come down quite a bit. As a side note, I find the 1 star reviews on this page ridiculous-- most are clearly patient-error (late for appointments, not asking prices, and not educating themselves on the going prices in the derm market). read more

Ladies, I rarely write a negative review because there are always two sides (or more). Nevertheless, I need to say something. My friends and I have followed Dr. DeEtta Gray around since she was at VM. She knows what she is doing with her Botox injections, and is stylish, perky, and pretty. Other derms have caused bruising or their placement has been unhelpful and less effective. Botox is supposed to create a smooth forehead! Dr. Gray has been at possibly four places in all these years that we've been going to her. She recently opened her own practice in Bellevue, and of course we all signed up as patients. However .... All of us have had the same disheartening experience. The Botox treatments we are now receiving are truly ineffective. They last about three weeks, and when we call for touch ups, the batch is blamed, or whatever. That's fine the first time, but not the second and third times.... when she has been so good at it in the past, zero complaints, total satisfaction. A noticeable contrast. I feel that I am not getting the full amount I am paying for. I used to get seven injection spots; now I get five. My forehead needs the least amount of Botox than anyone I know, and it should be in the notes that I am a light user, but they always try to sell me more. And even when they sell me "more" which never feels like I am actually getting "more" it doesn't work. And why doesn't it last, either? None of us is happy. We speculate that this new solo practice is so expensive, that corners may be cut ... we don't like to think such things, but it has not gotten better. And don't get injectables there. I have had two different types, and neither turned out well with her technique or skill level. When we comment about it, she always offers some thin external reason, rather than an apology and a do-over or a discount for the next attempt. Something to ameliorate the pain of the wasted expense....some mea culpa so that I don't feel dismissed and my money taken with no performance accountability. Maybe if you are a derm addict and you spend thousands of dollars constantly, you get better results and elite treatment, but we feel like cheated expendable crew members. Not going back. I'm not a fan of bad reviews because I like to stay positive or stay quiet but I also realize people should be protected from services like this one. My wife went here to get a consultation and because the facility was so dirty, unkept and unfriendly she walked out before signing in. She called to explain and they said she would not be charged for the "no show" and then they sent her a bill. It's not about the money it's about the way they run their business.
